Chapter 20

After breakfast, Alex took us outside to a deck-like bar, behind the bar laid the glassy blue sea. Wow, so this is a beach house, or perhaps a beach palace.

There were about ten yachts lying at the bank but were tied to the deck.

There were about three speed boat parked beside each of the yachts. I ran towards the stairs that lead to the sea bank to admire the view.

When I turned back, I saw Akex’s Parents standing beside him but no Nicky, where did she go?

“Right here” I heard her reply from my left, I turned to her, she was staring at the sea. I smiled at her.

“It’s beautiful, isn’t it? My world” she asked.

“You must be missing it so much” I asked.

She laughed a little and replied “I am”

“It’s really beautiful” we turned to see the owner of the voice, it was Alex’s mum, Penny. We smiled at her, she smiled back and Potter our shoulders.

“I should go, so that I can come early” Nicky stated.

Alex and his father came closer.
“Be careful” Alex instructed Nicky.

She nodded. She dropped her legs into the water and reached for the amulet on her neck, she removed it and handed it over to me.

Her legs gently transformed into her shinning blue tail – it was shinning like a blue diamond under the morning sun. I suddenly wished I have a tail. Everyone laughed at me.

Seriously can’t I have some privacy around this people? They laughed again.

Nicky jumped with force into the glassy sea, if I were the one, I would have drowned. She swam around for some minutes, then she waved at us and jumped in again, this time I didn’t see any sign of her – I guess she has gone down to Oceania.

FINDING REMEDY: Chapter 11 – 20

We stood there looking at the sea as if it stole one of our own. Then we heard a voice that brought us back to reality. It was Lenny.

“What if she decides not to come back?” She asked.

“She will, let’s go in and wait for her” the Alpha stated.

He walked out, his wife or mate or whatever they call it followed him. Lenny stared at the sea then she glared at me before she walked out.

“I don’t think she likes me” I complained to Alex.
“She’s just trying to get accustomed to you” he replied.

We walked back to the bar. We sat by a small round table. I looked around the bar, some tables were occupied by some men and very nice looking ladies.

*looking at them, they all look natural like normal human beings but now I know better, not every normal person is actually normal, what they are made of is much bigger than the human flesh they are showing us*

Alex bursted into laughter.
“Stop reading my mind Alex,I’m gonna kick you” I fired at him.

He continued laughing. I really miss Nicky. I looked at her amulet.

“If I wear this amulet, will my legs transform into a tail?” I asked Alex.

“You never know what you can do unless you try” he stated.

“Are you saying that I can actually transform if I wear it” I asked again to be sure.

He shrugged and replied “maybe”.

I ran to the river bank and posed, ready to jump into the water when I transform. I wore the amulet and wished that I become a mermaid, I waited but nothing happened.

I almost fell off the deck cause I was losing balance but Alex caught me. He carrried me back to the bar.

“I thought you said I’ll transform” I asked him.
“That I didn’t say no doesn’t mean I said yes” he chuckled out.

“Whatever. I’m bored” i complained.

“Then let’s make some paint. Come with me” he dragged my hand, and took me to a very big beautiful garden filled with so many trees and their fruits were so ripe and fresh.

“So how do we make the paint?” I asked Him.

“We pluck some cherries, put them in a bucket and squash them with our legs, and then we call it red paint.

We do the same to blue berries and call it blue paint” he explained.

“Sounds like fun. I’ll make up to ten bucks of paints before you make one” I whined.

“Is that a challenge?” He asked with a smile.
“Suit yourself” I mumbled.

We made about 8 buckets of paints together but wasted it all on paint fight. When we got tired, we fell on the grass and rolled like little kids.

We sat up when we heard Lenny’s voice.
“She’s back and she needs her amulet” she instructed.

She was talking about Nicky. I looked at my watch – how long have we been here. Wow 12 noon.

“And you both should clean up, you look like you’ve spent your whole lives in paint pit” Lenny stated and walked out.

Alex and I stood up.
“She wasn’t kidding Lex. We should go clean up”

“Did you just call me Lex?” He asked in surprise.
“Don’t you like it?”

“Are you kidding? I could kss you” he held my waist.

“Let’s go clean up naughty boy”

“We already did” he shrugged.

I looked at him, then at myself. We looked as clean as we were never even in the garden.

“I’m seriously loving this power of a thing” I stated, Alex laughed.

He held my hand and before I could blink, we were already running towards Nicky and the rest at the river bank, He’s so fast.

“Wow Nicky, you look fresh. Did you go back to your mother’s womb?” I asked Nicky as I hugged her.

She laughed. Her skin was glittering like gold, so smooth and fresh.

“Did you go through the process of reborn?” Alex asked her, she nodded.

“What does that mean?” I asked ignorantly.

“The mermaids do go through the process of reborn whenever they come up to the surface and go back. Or when they think that their skin no longer suit the mermaid world” he explained.
“The mermaid love to look fresh and smooth” Penny stated.

“They are the most beautiful creatures ever” the Alpha added.

“Yea right, they are not that beautiful” Lenny scoffed.

Everyone looked at her in shock but she rolled her eyes. Why is she so bitter anyway.

“My dear did you get the sea fruit?” The Alpha asked.
