I had a long day . After the doctor’s appointment , i stopped by my friend’s house and we went out for lunch . It was good being out of the house . I really needed that .
Few people recognized me and they couldn’t stop asking me about my parents. It’s good that the society doesn’t know anything about my pregnancy because all they do is critize other people . I have seen worse than this . Many societies even go to an extent of kicking out other people in their own homes because of the shame they brought . If it wasn’t for Ethan I would have been kicked out of this time long time ago . What a Judgemental world we live in.
When I got home . I found Isabella staring at the television lost in her own thoughts . I gave her some time as I made myself some sandwinch.
I can’t wait for my next doctor’s appointment . I seriously want to know the gender of my baby so i can start buying clothes and fixing a room .
” You know Annalisa . You can have Ethan if you want him . I don’t care !” Isabella said while she stood at the doorway.
” Whoa girl ! You almost gave me a heart attack ” I touched my heart playfully ” and beside I don’t want Ethan . I know you two have a strong connection . ” I shrugged it off as I pulled a chair and sat down .
” Ethan is the stupidest man i have ever seen in my life. His life revolves around his family as if he breaths them everyday. It’s so annoying . ” Isabella breathed out the last words looking irritated.
” And then ? What happened between you two that made you say such things about Ethan . ” I stared at her carefully not wanting to miss a thing .
” You know that I love Ethan with all my heart even though I’m not from a rich family but Ethan , damn ….he can get a little childish sometimes . ” Isabella gave me a sad look ” His parents have chosen a girl for him to marry and he gladly accepted that without telling them that he doesn’t want to get married . ”
” Wow Ethan !! Poor guy. I saw that coming though . His stepmom is a bch and all she does is drive Ethan’s life insane . I’m not surprised Ethan’s father supported her idea. . ”
” I don’t know Ethan’s parents but from the looks of it , they are the worst parents ever . I wish I could stop everything from happening . ”
” The only option to do right now is to back off . I don’t know much but Ethan’s Mother might do more than kill you if you do anything to change Ethan’s mind ”
” I already tried changing his mind about the whole thing but he ain’t listening to me Annalisa . It’s like he is under a spell or something . ”
” He is truly under some spell Isabella . Only his stepmom knows what kind of a spell he is in . Ethan was never like that before this year. Ethan used to be a fun person and he didn’t give a sht about what his parents said ” i pointed out ” Since this year started , he has been all over his parents . I’m not surprised because Ethan’s Mother is a fan of voodoo ”
” Really ? Do you think she could have used it to get Ethan to behave like this ?” Isabella leaned on the counter . ” if that’s so then do you have a solution. ?”
” I’m not saying she might have done something to Ethan but I think she did something . I mean , look at Ethan’s father , that guy never loved any woman beside Ethan’s mother but he suddenly changed the minute Ethan’s step mother walked in his life. I’m suspecting something behind everything that is happening in the McKenzie family . ”
” I may not know Ethan’s parents but I’m suspecting something too Annalisa . I think we have got to come up with a solution. ”
” I can’t help you Isabella. You are on your own . Ethan’s Mother might end up killing my parents or me. It’s too dangerous to get involved with her. ”
” Annalisa come on …! Don’t be a coward. Ethan has always stood by you since day one and the least you can do right now is by helping me out. ”
” Isabella please don’t beg me to help you . I don’t want to risk losing my baby . ” I brushed my stomach slightly ” All i can say to you right now is that you need to visit a witch doctor . I came across one when I was friends with Ethan’s mother . ”
” I guess you are right and Annalisa thank you for telling me all of this . I was stuck , I even thought of leaving this house too .”
” That would break Ethan’s heart . He may be a little annoying sometimes but he still loves you with all his heart . He is acting this way because his mother did something to him . ” I whispered ” I never got to know you better . So where are you from ?”
” Let me use the bathroom before I could officially introduce myself . ” She stood up quickly and i nodded for her to go ahead . She gave me a smile before she walked out of the room .
I ate up my sandwich then washed my plate while I thought of Ethan. I wonder how he is doing right now because everything now points out to him . This must be very hard for him . I bet it’s truly frustrating for him because he doesn’t know which path to take . His stepmom seriously spiked something in his food to make him behave this way .
Ethan used to be a fun person . He used to live for himself not caring about what his parents has got to say but he changed completely last December . Now he listens to every stupid thing his mother has got to say . Even his father follows Miranda’s footsteps without questions which i find a little bit strange .
After I finished washing my plate . I sat at the same chair going through my cellphone hoping to see any messages from my parents because I already miss them .
” I’m back ! ” Isabella voice snapped my eyes off my cellphone . I stared at her as she fixed her long black hair .
She looked stunning in jeans and the blue blouse she was wearing outshined her eyes . She looked more like the young version of my mother and I pushed that thought away . I’m just missing my mother that’s why I’m seeing some of her in Isabella’s physical appearance .
” What ? Why are you looking at me like that ? You are creeping me out ” she laughed as she sat down .
I shoke my head ” Was that obvious ? Dmn..it is just that you remind me a lot of my mother . You may find it silly but you look a lot like her .”
” Really ? I always wondered who I looked like me because I never met my parents . I’m actually an orphan .” She said nervously ” I hope that won’t change anything between us . ”
” Noo…Not at all . I can be a bit rude sometimes but I respect orphans with all my heart ” i touched my heart slightly staring at Isabella ” How old are you ?”
” Well , I’m a little younger than you think but I can reassure you that I’m matured . ”
” I can see that but how old are you exactly ? You can tell me …I won’t judge you or anything if that’s something you are scared of . “I said quickly . I have kept my fingers crossed for this moment that she could turn out to be my long lost little sister .
Isabella gave me a small smile” im 17 years old but i -” I stood up quickly before she can finish her sentence . She looked shocked as she stared at me . I just stared her processing everything that she just told me . Could Isabella be my long lost younger sister that I had been crying to finally meet?
