? Chapter seventeen [ 17 ] ?

” So you are staying here ? ” I raised my eyebrow with a smile plastered on my face.
” Yes man . It has been long since I have seen my Cassandra and beside I hate that Annalisa will be around most of the time ” Daniel shrugged as he opened the car door and stepped out .
” Maybe Ethan has a reason for her being around the house. Please tomorrow we have a lot of work to do ” I winked at him and he just laughed .
” I Know …. please stop winking at me like I’m some of the chicks you do . Dmn , you are so gonna get it tomorrow !” Daniel slammed the door before I can say anything . I just laughed it off as I drove home .
Daniel and Cassandra are working on things . Daniel has finally got back to his senses and Cassandra is loving that side of him . I’m so happy that they are still together after what happened . They are indeed the two people I look up to and I hope one day I will find someone special .
Work was hectic today and we didn’t even eat Lunch and my stomach is growling so loud that any one who comes near me might hear it .
After I parked my car in the garage . I quickly ran in the kitchen only to find Ethan sitting all alone drinking a bottle of whisky. Which is so Unusual , Ethan is not a fan of drinking and he has two reasons to drink . It’s either he is sad or happy .
” You don’t look so good man . What’s up with you ?” I took a sit across the table .
” I feel like punching someone right now . This sht hurts man ” he pointed at his heart as he drank up .” Like I have never felt this way in my life ”
” What did Isabella do ? Because she is the only one who can literally hurt you like that .” I questioned curiously .
” It wasn’t her man . It’s me , I’m the problem in her life and she has locked herself in your room ”
” I’m not surprised because you look like sht Ethan . What were you thinking when you brought Annalisa in this house ? You should’ve rented her an apartment . ” I pointed out . Not caring if Annalisa needs Ethan’s help more than anything .
” She needs to stay here Hayden . Her parents doesn’t want her because she is pregnant and they think the baby that she is carrying is mine .”
” Come on…! She is fucking pregnant ?” I laughed ” Annalisa out of so many women I have come across is pregnant . That’s a lie !”
” Well , it’s not a lie because the doctor showed me proof . She is truly pregnant and the father of the child is unknown .”
” First of all Ethan , Annalisa is not your problem because she was fucking other guys around . Secondly , that baby isn’t yours so why the are you taking care of her ?” I poked the table ” Lastly , stop sacrificing your own happiness for toxic people like Annalisa . She is obviously a bch towards the only girl that loves and cares about you in this house . ”
Ethan shot me a look ” It’s easy for you to say something like that because you don’t care about anyone except yourself . Annalisa may be rude towards Isabella but that doesn’t mean they will not eventually get along . ” He continued ” Look Hayden , Annalisa was the only person who was there when I lost my girlfriend last year . She helped me heal and I can’t just kick her out of the housebthat easily .”
” I’m not saying you should kick her out of the house Ethan . I’m saying find another place for her to stay because she is ruining your relationship with Isabella . ”
” Isabella is just being dramatic . I don’t understand why she can’t be patient . She is driving me insane because she wants me to choose between her and Annalisa which is the hardest Choice ever . ”
” I don’t blame Isabella for being over dramatic because you treat her like she is nothing when Annalisa is around . No offense man but you are an asshole . ”
” Thank you for reminding that Hayden !” Ethan smirked . ” This is really hard for me and Isabella is making everything seems harder . ”
” Why don’t you tell her the truth man ? Tell her why you are with Annalisa because she will never get it until you explain everything to her . ” I said quickly my stomach betraying me with a growl .
” She won’t understand . She has made up her mind that she wants me to choose between her and Annalisa . It’s pointless explaining everything to her . ”
” A least try , that’s the only option I can think of right now beside kicking Annalisa out of the house . ”
” You are such a bad person ! Where do you expect Annalisa to go ? ” Ethan covered his face with his hands .
” Don’t tell me that Annalisa is poor because last time I checked she had everything she has ever wished for . That girl has money ”
” Hey money lover . Her parents cutted ties with her which means they took everything even her bank account is empty .”
” Dmn…she is like the poorest girl in this house . I can’t believe I’m working my ass off to feed her and the baby she is carrying . ”
” The baby might be yours so stop acting like a drama queen . ” Ethan pointed out and I laughed .
” You just ruined my night with that statement . I’m praying that I’m not the father because I would kill myself . ” I stood up ” I’m hungry . Did Isabella cook?” I walked over the fridge and took out some fries and pizza .
” No..like I said before . She has locked herself in your bedroom which means no home cooked meal for us . ”
” You see ! The more you make Isabella unhappy . The more we will starve to death because Annalisa is bad in the kitchen. She is the pig who never does anything but eat . ” I served myself three slices of pizza and some fries .
” If you want a decent meal then search for a girlfriend because no one is going to cook for you even my Isabella . ” Ethan stood up and poured himself some whiskey .
” Take it slow on the whiskey man . You don’t want to end up in the rooftop with no clothes on .” I joked while I ate up my food .
” I rather sleep in the rooftop than with Annalisa right now . ” Ethan smirked . ” And you lucky ba$tard , Don’t touch my Isabella in there. ”
” Seriously ? Isabella is all yours Ethan . The thought of touching her makes my thing weak ” I held my hands in surrender ” She is even a bad ksser . !”
” You wish . ! She is a good ksser anyway I’m off to bed . Good night !” Ethan slowly walked out of the kitchen with the bottle of whisky .
I just watched him in oohs and awws because he is totally going to give Annalisa a hard time in the bedroom . I quickly ate up and washed my plate.
I took my time drinking one beer before I went upstairs because I know Isabella is waiting for me .
I think I should consider getting myself a girlfriend because I’m the only single guy in this house. It’s not easy leaving with a bunch of hot girls whilst they are your friends girlfriends . I want to go back to clubbing .
When I got upstairs , I found my room unlocked which is a bit shocking but I just entered . My room was already lit and Isabella was curled up on my bed with tears in her eyes . I slowly closed the door .
” I heard you talking with Ethan downstairs that’s why I unlocked the door. ” Isabella stated and I just nodded as I pulled a chair and sat beside my bed .
” You know , Ethan is only thinking about himself right now. He doesn’t care about how I feel . How dare he confesses his love to me then bring another woman in our lives ?”
” It was something he had to do Isabella . Ethan is my best friend and I know he loves you . ” I pointed out easily.
“It’s hard to believe that right now . I feel rather sad than angry . I feel stupid ” she choked out .
” Whatever you are feeling right now will eventually pass . Be patient with Ethan . He is trying . ”
” I want to leave the house tomorrow but I don’t know where I should go Hayden . ”
” I totally support your decision but think clearly about this because it is affecting Ethan too . ”
” I don’t care about how Ethan feels about this because he is too focused on helping other people that he doesn’t care about me. ”
” He does care about you . You know , Ethan isn’t as heartless as I am . He is too kind and that is what is ruining his life . ” I said and Isabella jumped down from the bed and walked over my chair ” What are you doing ?”
She walked slowly to me until she reached where I was sitting . ” I don’t know what I’m doing but right now all I need is a hug .” She surprisingly sat on my lap and hugged me tight .
” Okay . A hug won’t hurt much ” I hugged her back as she cried out . it took her some minutes to finally cool off but she finally did .
Her hair was loose so most of it reached my noise and it smelt so good and she was only wearing my shirt . I guess she took a shower in my room. . I used to wish for her to wear my shirt but now it feels strange since she is Ethan’s .
” Hayden ?” She whispered softly in my ear ” Can you please kss me . ? “I was shocked by her question mostly they way she is behaving. She is Ethan’s girlfriend to be for God’s sake !.
” What ? No Isabella . I can’t kss you . You are like Ethan’s girlfriend right now !” I shrugged as she slowly grabbed my hand . ” You should surely get some sleep. You look tired .” I suggested but she looked pretty focused .
“Ethan doesn’t have to know Hayden . I feel like crap right now and a kss will do . Please ?” She begged as she settled my hand on her waist ” Just a kss ” she whispered and I just gazed at her . Not knowing if she is testing me or what because I don’t like this at all .
