? Chapter Twelve [ 12 ] ?

I have got a major headache because of what happened at the hospital .
My mother and Annalisa kept yelling over who did what and who didn’t . The doctor managed to calm them down by then Annalisa’s parents were already at the hospital demanding for their child . The police wasn’t involved though and my mother walked out of the hospital in anger followed by my father . Annalisa’s parents took their daughter and left the hospital . It felt a little better without them around and the doctor explained everything I had to do to help Daniel and I happily thanked him .
I don’t know who to believe between Annalisa and my mother because they are saying different things . They are both pointing fingers at each other . I would hate to take sides but I suspected this from the beginning . I’m not surprised my mother was involved because she desperately wants me to marry Annalisa and I can’t believe my father supports that . Negative thoughts aside , I thank God I didn’t eat that food because right now I would be stuck with Annalisa if I did .
When I arrived home i found Hayden watching a movie whilst Isabella was fast asleep next to him . I breathed out in annoyance as I sat across the room .
” What Happened man ?You look exhausted . Did everything go alright at the hospital ?” He shot me a look as he covered Isabella with a blanket .
” Well , you wouldn’t believe this but Annalisa tried to use a love potion on me but Daniel ate the food before me !” I muttered quickly trying my best not to punch Hayden’s face for what he is doing to my Isabella .
” Really ? That’s so funny man . I can’t believe Annalisa out of so many people wanted someone like you ?” He laughed silently and that took me off guard .
” What do uou mean someone like me Hayden ?” I stared at him as he kept brushing Isabella’s thigh .
” Nothing bro it was just a joke . And hey ,. I’m taking Isabella out so she can meet my parents ”
” Your parents ? Why ?” That surprised me because Hayden’s parents hardly cares about him and last time I checked they disowned him because he is too wild .
” I told them about Isabella , your cousin of course and they were so happy ” he winked at me ” I don’t mean to brag but I love this girl !” He pointed at Isabella .
” You just met her few weeks ago man ? I have never seen you this serious about a girl . ” I said curiously , Hayden never takes girls home to meet his parents and now this , God what changed him .
” Hey man , once you fall head over heels in love with a girl then you won’t over think things . You will just do it without hesitations ” Hayden smiled ” Isabella is a unique girl and she makes me happy . My family already loves her ”
” You don’t even know her Hayden . A least sit down and talk with her first before you take such a big step . She might surprise you !”
” Fuck knowing her ! As long as she is your cousin then there is nothing more i should know about her ”
” You and I need to talk man and Isabella must be present so I can explain everything to you carefully ”
” Ethan , relax a bit hey . I got this sorted . I love Isabella for who she is and I can assure you that she loves me too ” Hayden kssed Isabella’s forehead and stood up ” She is everything I have ever wished for in my life .” He smirked as he walked out of the room .
I covered my face with my hands furiously . I can’t believe Hayden once again beat me out of something . At first it was Annalisa now Isabella . The girls always falls for his charms and no one falls for me . Fk ! I’m $¢rewed and I’m scared that if I tell him the truth he would love Isabella even more and I won’t stand a chance .
” You should have told himt the truth about me Ethan . I don’t want to live like this anymore ” Isabella murmured on the couch .
” Aren’t you asleep ?” I slowly glanced over her as she shoke her head no .” You heard everything ?”
” Yes and I feel as if you don’t want me Ethan . Honestly speaking I want all of you . I want you ” she pointed at me .
” Isabella , Are you feeling okay ?you should get some sleep . I think you are hallucinating or something ” I stood up and walked over the couch she is on ” You take some rest ” i took the blanket she kicked on the floor and covered her body .
” Ethan please , Don’t let me meet Hayden’s parents . Tell him the truth . I’m tired of pretending as if I don’t want you while I do ” she whispered as she lied down on the couch ” I’m begging you ”
“Isabella don’t think about that right now . Just go to sleep ” I said softly , pushing aside the fact that she just said she want me . I’m surprised that she would want someone as boring as me .
” I love you Ethan. ” She breathed out as she closed her eyes slowly . I just nodded in confusion .
I stood by her for a few minutes to make sure that she is asleep then I walked out of the lounge.
Isabella , out of so many girls I have dated wants me . A boring overprotective freak . I can’t believe what she told me . At first I thought she liked Hayden more than me but she just said the three words that I have been dreading to hear from her and it hit me hard that she might be feeling the same way about me as I do . What scares me the most is my own best friend wants her too . Is this a competition or what ?
? Annalisa ?
” Hon , drink some coffee . You will be fine okay ? ” My mother handed me a cup of coffee as she sat beside me on the chair .
My father stared at me ” I can’t believe you could stoop this low Annalisa . I didn’t raise you like that . How dare you embarrass me in front of the whole world ?” My father poked the table so hard .
” Im sorry father but it wasn’t my fault . Ethan’s Mother is the one who forced me to do all of that ” I replied quickly trying my best not to scream at my father so he can spare me .
” Don’t you dare bring her into this . Why didn’t you tell us before you did all of those stuff to Daniel ? Look now , everything is all over the media and everything points out to you “my father half yelled and my mother just kept nodding as she squeezed my hand .
” Dad , you never listen to what I say no matter what and beside the truth will finally come out soon . ” I stood up furiously ” Just wait and see !” I grabbed my cup of coffee and walked out of that room before my father $lapped me .
My father is the richest and most respected man in town and everyone looks up to him to be perfect and they expect their dear daughter to be perfect well , I’m not and i hate that i was born in the family .
It feels like I’m a prisoner in my own life and I can’t do anything wrong without being yelled over or $lapped . My mother always listens to my father and because of that she lost her baby 17 years ago , because of my father’s disapproval . My baby sister who was supposed to be turning 17 this year was thrown in a dump by my very own father after my mother gave birth to her. I hate that my father wants everything to go according to his own plans and I hate that I lost a little sister because of that .
I threw myself on the bed and looked over the ceiling . I wish my sister was here to witness this , maybe she could have supported me and gave me a shoulder to cry on unlike my parents here .
I sat on my bed and slowly I drank up my coffee thinking of how I’m gonna prove to everyone that I’m innocent and Ethan’s Mother isn’t .
My phone brought me back to reality with it’s loud ring . I picked it up without looking who is calling . I just answered .
” Hello Annalisa . I hope you aren’t planning on fighting this one because you are going down ” a familiar voice brought back my wildest dreams , Ethan’s mom don’t know when to give up .
” What do you want from me ? Are you scared that my truth will win over yours ?” I replied quickly .
” No ex-daughter in-law . You are going down and I’m not going with you because the truth will finally come out ” she said through the line .
I sallowed the lump in my throat ” We will just see about that because it’s your fault that she died ”
” What ? Now you are blaming me for what you did . Oh please Annalisa , save your accusations for another day ” then she hanged up without giving me a chance to reply .
I’m innocent In this situation , last year there was some misunderstanding between me and Ethan’s ex girlfriend who died but I wasn’t the one who pulled the trigger . My hands are clean and I’m going to make sure that Ethan mom goes to prison for a very long time . I’m tired of her manipulating and blackmailing me . She is going down !
