Jimi lay in his bed, cuddled up like a baby when Simi walked into his room, he looked terrible, confused and destabilized
He just took a shower and went straight to bed trying to wear out the rest of his hangover
“Folajimi…”
Jimi raise his head to see his sister
” Simi you’re still here”
“I couldn’t go, I had to make sure you’re okay”
“Or you just want to add insult to injury”
“No Jimi. No insults I promise”
“Is mom still here coz I really can’t deal”
“No she left. I convinced her to go that I was going to look after you”
“Am not a baby Simi I don’t need anyone to look after me”
“I know”
“Then why are you still here”
“I don’t think it’s ok for you to be alone right now. This really shook you bro, I mean I have never seen you so sad and out of color. It’s like you are a shadow of yourself”
She nodded pitifully
“You know there’s always a first for everything we just heal differently. This is your first time at getting heart broken”
“Indeed” Jimi admitted
“Well at least you admit it”
“What’s the point of denying it. It has happened it has happened. What else do you want Simi”
“Am here because am worried about you, after all you are my only brother”
“You can see how well am handling this so get on with it”
“Jimi in the video, You said you loved her…. So am curious did you just say it or you really meant it because I have known you forever and you never believed in those words let alone say it and really meant it……. Did she really do it, did she succeed in making the almighty Jimi Benson succumb to the ties of love and eternity, did she really make you vulnerable and clueless, did she snatch your chance to freedom and careless lifestyle, did she take away that ego and pride that runs in your veins, did she make you feel lost and empty without her….. Did she put you in that spot where nothing makes sense but being with her, did she revolve around your paradise and sunset that makes you want to spend eternity with her…. Did she…. Jimi interrupted promptly
“…. Shut up already….. Geez did you come here to interrogate me or what…. Well if you intend to drive me nuts don’t bother am already out of my mind”
“Really Jimi…… Just answer the question”
“Oh questions you mean”
“The truth would make you feel better…… You already said it’s pointless denying it so why not just say it ”
“Well yes… Yes, am miserable without her , thinking that I am never going to be good enough for her was nothing compared to actually hearing her say she doesn’t want to tangle up with me, she doesn’t want to be with me, she doesn’t want to be my wife”
“You proposed marriage to her jimi…. That is so unlike you”
“Well are you not hearing me I said I love her but unrequited, this feeling that erupted from nowhere turned out to be one sided, it’s uncontrollable and fascinating at the same time.. I don’t know how am going to live my life without diana because I can’t…..”
“Then don’t…”
“I thought you said you watched the video, didn’t you hear her state clearly that she doesn’t want anything to do with me”
“So she said that, that’s no reason for you to quit, You didn’t exactly give her much of an option, You can’t blame her for turning cold on you….. Marriage is a big deal and anyone would freak out when the someone is you”
“Wow Thanks sis”
“No jokes jimi but even if she had not seen you trash other ladies, she must have heard and chicken out…. It is now up to you to decide whether this horse is worth riding again because an adage says if an horse tumbles you down you will ride that horse again until you gain your ground.
Fine she doesn’t trust you now but she will when you are worth it and brother make sure you fight for what you really want because so many people miss their chances at love because they gave up too easily”
“So you think she’ll gimme a chance”
“If she loves you, she definitely will…”
“Wow that’s so much for a relieve thank you simi I really appreciate you coming here and helping me back on my feet”

“I don’t know, you’ve never really liked kids and single mothers…. ”
“This is different and special Besides Abby is so adorable”

“No… I think you need to do this yourself”
