CHAPTER 48
The next day he drove back there, around the time Abby got back from school not long after Abby went inside Diana hurried out of the house
That’s strange because she never leaves Abby alone in the house.
Out of curiosity Jimi went inside to check up on Abby and see what’s going on
He knocked on the door and Abby opened looking really tired and sick, she wasn’t her usual cheerful self when she hugged him
Jimi realized she was feeling feverish”
She laid back on the couch and covered herself with a blanket, she was feeling too weak to talk so Jimi just stayed with her on the couch
He noticed a picture frame on the table and picked it up, it was a younger Diana and another lady smiling broadly at the camera
Jimi took another look at the picture and noticed their t-shirts saying sister for life
He can’t remember Diana mentioning a sibling but the truth is she barely talks about herself and for some reason he left it that way and didn’t dig into it
He glared at the picture and for some reason the another person’s face keeps popping in his head she look so familiar but he can’t recall where
Abby was already snoozing off on his lap so he couldn’t stand up, Diana is going to come back and find him here
While trying to figure out who Diana’s sister is and why she looked so familiar
Diana returned from the pharmacy and the moment she noticed the door was unlocked she freaked out only to find Jimi sitting on her couch with Abby sleeping on his laps
She let the drugs slip from her hands and placed her hand on her forehead
Is this guy crazy or plain dumb
Why can’t he just leave her the h’ll alone
“How did you get in here”
“Abby opened the door for me and before you freak out I had no idea where you were so I couldn’t leave her alone especially when she’s sick”
“You’re unbelievable Jimi. You can’t just come into my home like that ”
“I know am sorry, am just worried about Abby. Why don’t you just take her to the hospital”
“No thanks doctor. It’s just an headache it will pass”
“How do you know that”
“Are you a father? Have you ever been responsible for a child?” He nodded
“So yeah when I tell you it’s just an headache that’s what it is because I have years of experience dealing with it”
“Okay fine”
“Can you go now. I can take it from here”
“You know you don’t have to do all this by yourself”
“Jimi for crying out loud. Can you just go…”
“Ok. Ok. I’ll go. We don’t have to wake Abby up” he moved slowly so she can pull Abby’s head to a pillow
He quickly put the picture in his back covering it with his jersey
“I’ll go now. ” He turned to leave then stop
“Can I call you later to see how Abby’s faring”
“That won’t be necessary”
“It’s either that or I come banging your door to see her”
“I’ll let you know when she wakes up”
Diana reluctantly agreed so he can just get out of her breathing space
“Thank you”
She shut the door after him.
Saying to herself that he won’t even realize when they will leave. He can continue to stalk them in his dreams.
She tend to Abby not realizing that the picture of herself and Dorcas was missing

The one person Jimi could think of to figure sht out was Bj .
His friend has a very authentic memory if he had met this mysterious sister of diana before. Bj is the right person to ask unless he wasn’t there at that moment but if he did meet her for sure he’ll remember
So Jimi drove straight to his club and head to his office where he was wrapping up with his female companion
“Sht Jimi! Why didn’t you tell me you’re coming”
“I didn’t think it was necessary. Am I interrupting something” the girl was trying to pull back down her dress
“Not at all, we were just finishing up”
“Oh great. Coz I really needed to talk to you”
“Alright Lara pls excuse us …”
She hissed faintly and walked out stretching her long legs
“What’s up man…. Woooah hold up we need a drink”
“At the moment I think I will take a bottle”
“Vodka or whiskey”
“Definitely whiskey and on the rocks pls”
“Alright brother”
Bj cracks and called in for a bottle of whiskey
“So how are you doing”
“Terrible. I guess you heard about it”
“I watched it and so did everyone on social media. What the hell happened man I thought that was going great, why’d she turn you down”
“I have no idea”
“She didn’t tell you”
“Nope”
“Well maybe you asked too soon, when I asked you not to lose the girl I didn’t mean burden her and drag her down the aisle”
“I know man but it just felt right”
“Besides you know she’s a single mother and maybe she’s not ready to dive into something she’s not certain about”
“I feel there’s more to it, she’s so angry at me and I can’t figure out what it about”
He placed the frame on the desk for Bj to see
“What’s this”
“Check it out. That’s Diana and her sister. I bet have seen her somewhere but I can’t remember, I thought you might be able to recall”
“How am i supposed to….” Bj stare at the picture and it clicked
“Yohhh this is Dorcas nah . ” Jimi shook his head
“I know you would remember. Which Dorcas is that”
“Dorcas Bakassi, the nerd freshman who was all over you in Unilag”
“Dorcas!!!”
“Yes now’ the one with the big backside,shy Dorcas with the tiny voice”
“Ohh the one who wrote the letter” Jimi gasps
“Yes that one. Wait is she your babe sister for real”
Bj wondered
“Yeah I think so. What happened with her now”
“I don’t know but if she’s really her sister. I get why she’s mad as h’ll, you treated that girl badly ”
“How”
“She was the one night stand that got the bedsheets bIoody”
“The vrgn…… Sht!” Jimi’s mouth fell apart
“You s¢rewed her over big time”
