Chapter Twenty Three
AUTHORESS PROSPER POV
Jeanann scoffed as soon as he hung up.
How dare he hung up on her? And the fact that Grace did same to her yesterday made her eyes turn red.
However, she was happy that Kyree wants her out. It have been days since she had fun and now, it wouldn’t be bad if she catch some fun with her boyfriend, right?
She smiled and climbed the stairs.
But why did he say it was urgent? Was he just joking or was he serious?
Well, maybe he did that to make her come but he sounded serious on the phone. Hmm…she was confused.
She got to her room and pulled off her clothes as she smirked, marveling her gorgeous naked body.
She stepped into the bathroom and laid on the jacuzzi, she then turned on the faucet. She smiled as the jacuzzi got filled with water.
Thereafter, she turned off the faucet and rub her pinky bathing sponge with her usual soap before she began rubbing her body with the soapy sponge.
When she was done bathing, she went back to her bedroom and after applying a moisturizing body cream, she wore a sweater like dress and a black boot before she packed her hair.
She went over to her dressing room and began applying all sort of makeup she think will look good on her on her face. Her beauty therapist really did taught her well.

After she was done, she took pictures of herself and posted it right away on social media. Her followers should better react on her photos or else…
Just as she was thinking, reactions and comments poured on and her expression changed. She was excited!
She grabbed a dark colored handbag and existed the house. She scoffed at the security men assigned at the house, they were sending her flirty winks. Though she wouldn’t deny that she didn’t like it.
“Jack!”.She yelled as she dialed a number on her phone, the receiver had already picked it up at first ring. It was her driver, Mr Jack.
“Y…yes?”.Mr Jack asked, with fear evident in his voice.
“Hey! Don’t ask that damn question? Where in hell are you?”.She rasped angrily.
“A..am..um…”.Mr Jack couldn’t form the right words to say.
“Geez! Where are you, huh? Why aren’t you here beside the car?”.She asked with a frown.
“Am so sorry Miss Jean. I actually had an upset stomach and I had to go back to my home since you wouldn’t let me use the toilet in your home. Right now miss, am in the toilet and am sorry to say this but I might not make it to your house at this hour”. Mr Jack apologized but Jeanann growled, as she punched the car standing next to her.
“You fllthy bald headed old ba$tard! You jack! Your name says who you are anyways”.She sneered and the sixty seven years old Mr Jack gasped over the phone but before he could make a sound, Jeanann ended the call.
She stopped a cab and got in while maintaining her frown. Dmmit! She hated cabs a lot.
“Miss, where is your destination?”.The nice looking driver in his early thirties said with a smile on his fading pink lips.
“Just drive to the Goodies, you old punk!”.She spat out and the man’s smile wiped out of his face immediately.
What?! How can a young girl like her be so insolent? Even his own daughter can’t behave like this.
Sighing, he shook his head at the girl’s disrespect before he turned the car into motion.

Kyree was waiting impatiently for Jeanann. His hands were fisted together and his lips were pushed out angrily. He was frowning as he.ll.
What was taking Jeanann so long?
Just after he thought that, Jeanann walked into the Goodies which was a popular restaurant in the state.
She sighted Kyree sitting alone on a seat and her frown brushed off as she cat walked to him.
Most of the guys in the restaurant, both the ugly and the handsome were staring lustfully at her. That made her blush slightly.
Oh Goodness! She wouldn’t leave here without talking to the handsome ones, of course.
Kyree noticed her walking to his table and his frown waved off when he saw how Jeanann was looking. Gosh! Even Grace’s beauty couldn’t march hers at that moment. Though, he knew Jeanann applied makeups but hell, he didn’t care.
“Um…what took you so long?”.He cleared his throat as he suddenly felt shy.
“Gish! Is that what you say to your girlfriend after missing her for so long?”.She chuckled but little did she know that Kyree felt his heart jump at her laugh.
Okay? Why was he suddenly feeling this way? He called her here for a reason and he must accomplish his mission.
“Jean, I called you here for a reason”.He said, his palms clapped together.
“Say it then and make it snappy!”.She frowned when she realized he didn’t order anything, the table was empty as he.ll.
‘Stingy boyfriend’.She rolled her eyes at her own thought.
“Well, I hope you would answer me…”.He said as he frowned at Jeanann’s words.
‘Beauty without character!’.He thought, frowning.
“…Cause it’s about Grace”.He added and the word ‘Grace’ took her attention.
“Hey, say it! Stop speaking like a snail”.She half yelled.
“Snails don’t speak!”.He snapped.
“Whatever”.Jeanann relaxed her body on the seat as she glared at Kyree.
“Fine then! I actually wanted to tell you that….”.He paused, watching her expression. “That you should tell me Grace’s phone digits”.
As Jeanann heard that, she sprang up from her seat like a wounded lion.
“W..hat. Did. You. Just. Say?”.Her voice was filled with surprise.
“I.. believe you heard me right?”.Kyree didn’t know if he should be saying all this but geez, he missed Grace. He haven’t seen her for two days and he really wanna hear her voice.
“You might be out of your mind. Why do you want to talk to that bitch anyways? What do you have with her? Am your girlfriend, Kyree! Am enough for you! But dmmit, you now spend all your time with her at school. You ignore me almost every time, you hardly call me nowadays and you hardly pick up my calls”.Jeanann voice shook.
“Jean….”.
“Oh please, just shut up! I know I don’t love you the way you want me to but still, I consider you as a useful person in my life but today that record is broken. You are useless to me now, you are now a piece of shit to me. Damn you Kyree!!”.Jeanann said, trying so hard not to cry as she walked out of the restaurant ignoring the boys who whistled at her.
When she got outside, a tear dropped out of her eye but she caught it with her finger before it hit the floor. At that moment, her phone rang.
It was her mum call…
She answered the call with hesitation.
“Hey darling!”.She heard her mum say and she sniffed, pushing back the tears in her eyes.
Why was she crying? She should be strong! The Jeanann everyone knows rarely cry.
“Hey mum, you finally call me, huh?”.She gave a sad laugh and her mum sighed.
“Am sorry honey but I will make it up to you”.Her mum said and she scoffed.
“Why did you call me? You always call me for an important reason”.She said and her mum got speechless on how to reply back at Jeanann’s last words.
“It’s just that…”.Her mum sighed. “I and your dad are coming back home this week”.
Immediately Jeanann heard that, her eyes dimmed.
