Chapter Twenty Eight
AUTHORESS PROSPER POV
Kyree came to an halt in front of a white gate. He pulled off his helmet and climbed out of the bike.
He smiled sadly as he stared at the gate. Soon, he knocked on the gate and a hefty man opened it.
“Hi Sir, am here to see Jeanann”.He said to the man who kept staring at him without blinking.
“Who are you?”.The man’s voice was deep and quick to intimidate Kyree.
“Am Kyree, you must have seen me here before”.
“Oh! Miss Jean’s boyfriend! Please wait here, let me go inform her of your presence”.The man was about to go away but Kyree stopped him.
“No! Don’t inform her! I mean….”.He scratched his head nervously. “..am her boyfriend, am not a stranger to her, so she would let me in”.
He added and the man nodded before he opened the gate widely for Kyree.
Kyree stepped into the large compound, marveling at the sight of the house.
The house was beautiful.
He was lead to the living room and immediately he sat on a sofa, the security man left. A young girl, the maid, walked up to him with a smile plastered on her lips.
“Hi. What may I offer you?”.The maid asked with a slight bow.
Kyree didn’t feel like eating anything in fact, his conscience was already feeding on him.
“Nothing”.He replied, turning to the TV which was showing off a movie.
“Nothing? Am sorry sir but I must offer you something, I don’t want Miss Jean to get angry”.She said and Kyree shrugged.
“Fine! Get me a glass of chilled water”.He said and the maid went to carry out the order.
She handed him a glass of chilled water seconds later and he took a sip, pondering on whether he was going to keep staying in the living room or go meet Jeanann in her room? He was confused..
After few minutes of thinking hard, he finally mustered the courage to go to Jeanann’s room. She isn’t even aware of his presence.
He climbed the stairs and when he saw the door which he recognized to be Jeanann’s room door. He knocked on it.
“Dmmit! Who the hell is there?”.He heard Jeanann’s voice and suddenly he smiled. That was what he wanted to her, her voice but he could sense she was angry. It was felt in her tone.
He contemplated on opening the door or continue knocking and after of, he opened the door and went in.
He saw Jeanann combing her hair while a small hand mirror was on her hands. She was sitting on her bed, humming to a song her brother sang.
Her brother, Jeff, recently uploaded the music video on IG and since then, it have been trending on social media.
She loves learning to sing his songs, she feels good whenever she sings his songs. It also helps to wash away her boredom and anger.
Kyree on the other hand stood watching her, he would admit she looked gorgeous even though she was backing him. He could only see her back view.
“Jeanann”.He called her name fully without knowing but that word, that sound made Jeanann turn back to face Kyree with her eyelashes brushing against each other in anger.
“Kyree?”.Her voice was high and full of surprise. She wasn’t expecting him to come.
“Jean, I can expl…”.
“What the he.ll are you doing in my house?”.She stood from the bed, fisting her fists.
Kyree words in the restaurant kept stinging her ears, she felt mad.
“Jean, I only came to apologize. Please forg…”
“I can never forgive you, Kyree!”.She gritted her teeth as she glared at him. “In fact, right now, this moment, our relationship is ov…”.
“No, Jean! No!”.Kyree quickly went on his knees.
Jeanann was kinda surprise at his action. Yeah, she knows Kyree loves her but to this extent?
She felt special as she stared at the kneeling Kyree. She was glad someone loves her, she felt happy.
“Jean, please don’t do this. Please, am sorry! It was my fault, I shouldn’t have asked you that. Trust me, if I had known my words would lead to this then I wouldn’t have said anything. Please Jean, forgive me, don’t break this relationship please!”.Kyree begged with tears in his eyes.
He didn’t want his relationship with Jeanann to break, not now, not ever.
“Fine, Kyree I forgive you but if you get me angry again, believe me, this relationship will end”.Jeanann warned and Kyree smiled, getting on his feet.
“Thank you so much Jean, thank….”.
“Shh! Don’t thank me too much, and if you must know, their is a prize for every sinner and you will receive yours”.
Kyree at first felt confused as to what Jeanann said but later on, his eyes dimmed as he realized what she meant.
“Do you want me to make it up to you?”.He asked.
“Of course yes and since the bch, Angela refused to come to my house today then I guess I have the whole house to myself. So, am feeling bored and lonely and I want you to spend the day with me. You can go back to your house at night, just stay with me”.Jeanann said and Kyree gulped.
Spending a day with Jeanann? That seems so hard but since he have no choice, he have to agreed.
“Okay, fine but first what are we going to do to erase the boredom?”.Kyree asked as he walked closer to Jeanann.
“Games. We are gonna play games, I just saw a new game trending. Its name is Ricky’s Day Out, it’s quite interesting and fun”.She said as she brought out her laptop.
“Alright, bring it on!”.Kyree smiled

The Next Day
Grace was standing right outside the gate. Mr Lucas have driven her to Dylan’s residence but Grace was finding it hard to knock on the gate. All that she said to Dylan the other day flashed into her mind and she sighed.
Sluggishly, she knocked on the gate and few seconds later, the gate was opened by no other person but Jasper.
