**CAMILLE’S POV**
“What the hell was that for?” I asked Annie in horror immediately Asher left.
“What do you think it is?” Annie replied me comfortably.
“You just took this to court. Do you know what that means?”
“Enlighten me please” Annie requested, the comfortable look still settled on her face and I fought the urge to smack her really hard.
“Annie! Asher is going to win! That for sure. I don’t seem to understand you again. I have no proof he hits me. I have nothing. How do you expect us to win. I understand you want this to go your way but this is just stupid..”
“Uhm..are you done?” Annie asked and this time around, I clenched my fist. I swear to God, Am going to pun¢h Annie any minute from now.
“Are you even listening to me? Annie! What is going on in that head of yours? I demand to know. Like right now!”
“We are going to court baby!” Annie said dryly.
“I know that already. How are we expected to win? We don’t even have a lawyer”
“Just leave that to me”
“But..we need a really good lawyer to be Able to win the case and Asher really isn’t going to allow that happen. I don’t even have the money to hire a lawyer.”
“Camille” Annie called calmly. “Just leave it to me please”
“I don’t want to bother with all this. Getting a lawyer will be really expensive”
“Damn!, camille, Am not complaining,.”
“Just leave it to me”
“What if we lose?”
“We can’t” Annie assured.
“And how sure are you we are going to win with no evidence?”
“Camille, do you trust me?” Annie requested.
“I guess so”
“Can you then trust me on this?”
“I don’t know. You are behaving really weird and honestly, it is annoying. You should have at least allow us gather enough evidence before bringing up court.”
I said ranking my hand in my hair frustratedly.
“We would get a good lawyer and trust me, when I say we would win the case”
“But am scared…” I said.
“Don’t be. Just trust me..”
Trust her.. okay, that seem like a really hard thing to do.

MIDNIGHT)
“Camille..camille..” I heard Annie’s voice as she frantically taps me.
“No..no..” I shouted and jumped off the bed. I was sweating profusely and on seeing Annie, I screamed.
“Hey, calm down. It me” Annie saId assuredly and I breath out in relief.
“A nightmare? You were screaming in your sleep” Annie said with worry on her face.
My heart pounded as I remembered the dream I just had.
“I..I was in the court room.. and ..”
Annie interrupted. “Don’t tell me you dreamt about that..”
“I hope I didn’t but unfortunately I did, it was scary to be honest. The lawyer that represented Asher was really tough. Our lawyer couldn’t defended us anymore because there was no evidence…”
I started shaking. “Asher won. I was hopeless.. I had no choice but to go back at him and he took me back home and the old Asher was back again. He hit me and I tried to free my self from him and when I succeeded, I ran off to the kitchen and…”
A tear slipped off my eye. “I wanted to stab myself..Annie, that was when you woke me you. God, it looked so real and scary and scary at the same time. Am afraid the dream would come true. Annie, am scared..”
Annie stared at me for some minutes before taking. “Camille, I know why you had this dream. It was all in your head. You thought about it before going to bed right?”
“Yeah” I sniffled.
“I told you to trust me. Common, I have got this. Asher isn’t going to win. You aren’t going back to him. He can’t dare lay his hands on you and you aren’t $tabbing your self. Just get all this out of your head and try to be optimistic.”
“But…”
“Okay, this is it. You try to think negatively again, am going to smack you really hard.” Annie threatened.
“Okay okay..” I surrendered.
“And stop crying. Anyone told you you look really ugly when crying?” Annie rolled her eyes.
“No?”
“Well you do. Now stop crying like a baby.”
I chuckled and cleaned my tears.
“More like it. Go to bed and don’t you dare think about it again or you won’t like what I will do to you.”
“Okay mommy” I said mockingly and lay back on the bed.
I closed my eyes and tried to sleep but the sleep isn’t forthcoming so I just laid there, awake and trying not to think about Asher.
Half an hour later, I fell asleep.

MORNING

After taking my bath, I went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. It was Saturday morning and Annie rest her back on the kitchen counter talking to only God knows who.
I shut out whatever it is she is saying to the person on line with and concentrated on the food am cooking.
She finished making the call and glanced at me.
“So what are you making?” She asked with a boring tone.
“Now you remember I exist” I said sarcastically.
“Ha ha!” Annie said dryly.
“Anyways, bye” She said and made to leave the kitchen.
“Where to?” I frowned.
“My room…”
“Won’t you help me out here?”
“Am not sure you need help..” Annie replied dryly.
“Oh really?”
“Camille..I need to figure out somethings. Getting a good lawyer will really be tough judging by the fact that their charges is really high so have been thinking. The domestic violence story you told me about. About the woman committing suicide and all that so I decided to look into it. So I chatted Chloe Campbell up. I mean, I think she would be of great help because of the way she handed the story and well, it is similar to yours. But I do help she reply because you know, she is a popular blogger and can hardly see messages…”
Wow..Chloe Campbell. Why didn’t I thought of her. She would be of great help. But I lied to her. She didn’t even know am married.
And besides, I didn’t reply her messages. Now, it looks like I will be needing her help.
“Actually..,Annie..” my voice shook. “I know Chloe”
