EPISODE 50

“Holla!, stop looking at me and sign the freaking document!” Avery said strictly and Harry staggered back in shock.

“Avery…?” He asked to be sure.

He couldn’t believe it. It came to him as a shock. He trusted Avery and if anyone had told him she would betray him, he wouldn’t have believed.

“The one and only” Avery answered smirking.

“Oh Jeez!” Harry muttered disappointedly.

“Can you just sign the document. You are taking too much time already!” Avery groaned.

“Harry, don’t sign it” Chloe said, tears falling off her eyes.

Harry knew he got no choice. With shaky hands, he signed the document.

“Harry!” Chloe screamed tears falling off her eyes.

Harry said nothing and looked away.

“You value your sister afterall” Finn smiled and faced Mr Campbell.

“The rest is up to you” He said and Mr Campbell sighed deeply and signed on it.

“Can you please let my sister go please?” Harry requested.

“Sure” Finn smirked and ordered his men to release Chloe.

They unchained her and Finn pushed Chloe towards Harry.

Chloe almost fell but Harry was fast to caught her. She was really weak and feeling dizzy at the same time.

“Can you walk?” He asked her.

“I think so” Chloe answers painfully.

Chloe made Chloe place her arm on his shoulder and led her outside.

He looked at Finn, a smirking Avery and finally his dad.

“I pray I never see you again” He said to his dad.

“Son..” mr Campbell tried saying.

“I’m not your son!” Harry yelled painfully and his dad flinched back.

Harry tried not to cry and turned and left immediately.

He got outside and helped Chloe into his car. At least he still his car and house.

He got into the driver’s seat and drove off.

After some minutes, he got home. He came out of the car and helped Chloe out.

Chloe tried walking but fell down. Harry carried her on his back and carried her inside.

He placed her on her bed and sat beside her on his bed.

“You fool! Why did you sign it?” Chloe frowned at him.

“So i shouldn’t have and make you lose your life” Harry said.

“Actually. Yes!” Chloe answered.

“Just shut up. It isn’t a big deal” Harry shrugged.

“What do you mean! You just lost the company you worked hard for”

“Yeah, i worked hard to make it grow but it isn’t mine. The company belongs to dad” Harry said.

“But he handed it over to you already!”

“Oh Common! It have happened. There’s nothing I can do. They can go to hell for all I care. I still have my house, car and some money in my account”

“And I also have money. My job is still intact” Chloe added.

“Yeah. You see. So I’m not broke! Just go to bed. We just have to do something. Tomorrow we will talk” Harry told her.

Chloe nodded trying to be optimistic.

Harry kssed he forehead and left the room closing the door behind her.

Chloe laid back on the bed trying to stop the thoughts of Finn and every other thing that happened.
It was really hard but after some minutes, she was able to fall asleep.

THE NEXT DAY

THE HOSPITAL..

Mrs Taylor entered the ward Annie is in and closed the door behind her.

Annie was seated her hands wrapped around her body, a worried look on her face.

Mrs Taylor placed the baskets full of different types of fruits in it.

“I brought you fruits” she said.

“I don’t have an appetite” Annie said looking away.

“Common, you just recovered. You need this!” She said giving her an apple.

“I don’t want.” Annie maintained her ground.

Mrs Taylor sighed deeply wondering what she’s going to do.

She looked at Annie who was looking around the room blankly.

“I know you are worried about your friend but you should be rest assured she’s going to be fine” Mrs Taylor said and Annie faced her.

“When? Like when?” Tears dropped off her face.

“Camille isn’t even showing an attempt to wake up and you expect me to continue living my life like everything is fine! He.ll no!”

“You just have to calm down”

“Don’t tell me to calm down!” Annie flared as the tears voluntarily fall off her eyes.

“I’m going crazy right now. I’m trying to be optimistic but it is not working at all. Maybe it is because a part of me feels like it’s not going to okay..I don’t really have to give my self hope”

“So you just want to give up on your friend? Just like that?”

“No. I’m not but…I don’t even one. I’m so confused and frustrated right now. We both got into the accident together. How come i’m fine and she’s not.? Why???” Annie asked dejectedly as tears fall off her eyes.

“Annie, you don’t have to feel this way. Just pray for your friend and I’m 100 percent sure she is going to wake up soon”

“Sure, I will pray as far as it’s going to bring her back to life” annie sniffled cleaning her tears.

Mrs Taylor stood up and hugged Annie. Annie hugged her back needing the hug badly at the moment.

Annie cried on Mrs Taylor shoulder while she patted her back.

“It will be fine okay?” Mrs Taylor assured.

After some minutes, They both disengage from the hug.

“Now, can you please eat these fruits at least” she pleaded.

Annie nodded and collected the apple from Mrs Taylor and started eating it sniffling.

Mrs Taylor Watched trying her best not to cry too.

Few minutes later…

Mrs Taylor was in the Doctor’s office waiting for him to show up.

He showed up after what seems like forever and sat opposite her.
