Few moments later, old Gerald left the hospital giving the doctor strict order not to allow her go home for tonight but only be discharged tomorrow
That wasn’t all, Old Gerald knew his defiant daughter, so he assigned bodyguards to stay around so as she wouldn’t leave the hospital until morning.
“Hey Georgia” Leah said as soon as Georgia picked up the call
“Leah what’s up? Georgia asked lazily in bed, she could barely sleep in the damn hospital. sigh
“I have good news! my Brother is awake!
Leah squeeled happily
Georgia was happy too, at least her efforts paid off
“that’s good news Leah, how is he?
she asked
“fine at least alive but he’s still weak though” Leah said
“where are you Georgia, I need to come see you like right now” Leah asked
Georgia sighed,
“Leah promise me you wouldn’t freak out? Georgia asked slowly
“i don’t understand, why should I promise you that? why would I freak out in the first place? Leah threw the questions bewildered
“well I’m in the hospital”
“WHAT?!!! Oh my goodness Georgia, what happened to you, oh God I’m freaking out! text me the address right away!!!
Leah screamed that got Georgia take the phone a little far from her ear
She felt her head was going to explode by Leah’s shouts

“you’re all dismissed from your work, collect the payment and leave”
Mr Clifford informed five men clouded in black
“Sir please let us talk to Old Gerald, Maybe he would reconsider” one of them pleaded
“that means you don’t know him at all, once he makes a decision he doesn’t reconsider and to top it all, you know the circumstances responsible for his decision” Mr Clifford said
The men bowed their heads.
“we failed to protect Miss Sterling”
“I’m glad you remember, you’re dismissed”
with that said, Mr Clifford left
“have you sent them off?
“Yes Sir”
“Cancel the contract with the Davidsons”
Mr Clifford widened his eyes, totally transfixed, does Old Gerald really mean it
“Sir but this contract worth millions of dollars” he really couldn’t believe that Old Gerald would think of cancelling the contract
“Clifford how long have you worked for me?
Mr Clifford was thrown off balance by the sudden question, thinking about it he actually couldn’t remember
“you can’t remember right? that shows how long you have worked with me so you should have known by now that a few millions of dollars doesn’t mean anything to me when it comes to her”
“I will keep that in mind Sir” Mr Clifford acknowledged and left when signaled to
old Gerald sighed heavily and opened his wallet
A picture of a lady smiling brightly without a care in the world was attached at the top of the inner wallet
old Gerald caressed the lady’s face as a single tear dropped from his eyes
“I couldn’t protect her Evelyn, hope you would be able to forgive Papa?
