Desmond’s POV
(Next Day)
The news about the death of George Wellington surface the net and I can see the DPO coming and leaving the station from time to time then he came to meet me.
” MIA, how about you help us find the shooter instead of you sitting down here doing nothing” the DPO said.
” Sir, I don’t want to get involve in that family……just like you said two days ago…i should stay clear from them” I replied and he looked at me somehow and left.

(Evening)
I needed to go to Mrs Idris house so I stood up to inform the DPO of my departure, as I got to his office I can hear him talking to someone on the phone.
” okay….okay…..i will be there in few hours time” I heard him say then I knocked.
” come in” he said.
” I’m leaving Sir” I said.
” fine, whatever” he said then I left his office.

Author’s POV
The men that Mr Wellington sent to find the details about Desmond came back to him to report.
” tell me you got something” Mr Wellington said.
” Sir……the guy is impossible” the guy said.
” what do you mean? ” Mr Wellington asked.
” I look for everything I could find about him, only to see that he’s an orphan…..he have no friends, no girlfriend, no family, he doesn’t associate with anyone” the guy said.
” so you saying…..there’s nothing you can find about him” Mr Wellington said.
” Nothing sir……he’s all alone” the guy said.
” then he will have to pay for it alone,…..find him and bring him to me, use every resources at your disposal to find him, call on all our men to find him and bring him to me alive……i will finish him myself” he said.
” yes sir” the guy said then left.
” No one messes with my family” Mr Wellington said.

Desmond’s POV
I entered my car and drove to Mrs Idris house and some minutes after I got there and knocked and her daughter opened the door.
” Good evening sir” the girl said.
” How are you Ayo?” I said.
” Fine Sir……please come in” she said and I entered and I saw her mother in the parlour.
” good evening ma” I greeted.
” Good evening my son, please sit” Mrs Idris said and I sat down on the couch.
” my daughter told me about what happened yesterday and I still can’t believe it” she said.
” ma, the culprit behind your son’s death is dead” I said and they were surprised.
” Really?” she said.
” yes ma’am, so you don’t have to worry about anything…….the money that was transferred to your account is for you” I said.
” all of that money?……that’s a lot” she asked surprised.
” you should do what you want with it and don’t worry about anything else…just take care of yourself….and also make sure no one knows about this” I said.
” thank you so much my son…….I’m forever grateful to you” she said crying.
” thank you so much sir” the girl said.
” it’s okay…….you should do what you want now” I said.
I spent about three hours in their house cause they made me wait, for me to have dinner with them.
After the dinner I announced my departure and they escort me to my car.
” I want you to do something for me” I said.
” What is it?…..my son” she asked.
” Please don’t come to look for me unless there is trouble” I said and they were surprised.
” But why?” She asked.
” It’s for your own good ma…… don’t call me as well” I said.
” Is it that serious?” She asked.
” Yes ma… it’s serious and dangerous infact forget we met…… don’t tell anyone you saw me” I said to her.
” Okay……we never saw you” she said.
” Good…I have to go now” I said then entered my car and drove off.
As I was driving away I saw the DPO’s car driving along the road and I wondered what he’s doing around here at this time cause it’s the complete opposite to his house.
Then I decided to follow his car to see what he’s up to, I keep following his car until I realised that we are heading towards the port.
What’s he doing here?……this is an abandoned port…..what’s he doing here by this time of the night.
As he parked his car I also find a dark spot to park my car, I came down and move towards them.
I saw the DPO and two other officers coming down from the car and I wondered what their business here could be.
They keep entering the port and I followed them silently hiding in plain sight.
I saw a ship at the shore and some white people came to meet with them and they started their discussion.
I knew something is fishy about this as I have been suspecting the DPO for quite some time now.
Then I bring out my phone and started recording everything.
Then six other black men came out from a bus parked at a corner and open the bus.
I was shocked when I saw them carrying children of about 5years old out of the bus into the ship.
The children will be up to ten of them and I saw the white people giving the DPO a briefcase which I assumed to his payment.
” Ba$tard……i never thought you will be involved in child trafficking” I said to myself.
I checked my side looking for my gun but I couldn’t find it and I remembered that I left it in the car.
Just as I was about to go and get it my phone started ringing
” Dmn” I cur$ed as I quickly silenced it but the deed has been done already as they knew I was there.
” MIA” the DPO shouted and all of them started shooting at my position.
I ran away from there immediately and they all pursue after me.
I tried to ran towards where I parked my car but there’s no way i’ll do that and not get shot at cause that’s exactly where they are.
So my only option is to get away from there, so I ran away as they never stop shooting at me.

Author’s POV
The six black men pursue after MIA as he keep running away from them.
” Dmn it” the DPO cur$ed as MIA got away.
” Sir….what should we do now?…..this is trouble” one of the officer said then the DPO went to meet the white men and told them to leave the shore immediately.
After the ship left the port the three of them went back to their car.
” Sir….what do we do about MIA?……what if the guys couldn’t catch him?” the second officer asked.
” I have an idea” the DPO said then he bring out his phone and put a call through to one of the DPO at a station nearby.
” Hello DSP Gbenga” the other DPO replied.
” Hello DSP Taiwo………there’s something you need to know” the DPO said.
” what happened? ” he asked.
” MIA has gone rogue?……he is wanted and to be killed at sight” the DPO said.
” what happened?…….what did he do?” he said.
” he killed two police officers and now he’s on the run” the DPO said and the two officers are surprised as they look at each other.
” whaat…..he killed two officers?” he said.
” Yes and no he’s nowhere to be found…..so send out your men if any of them find him…..kill him immediately…..he is dangerous” the DPO said.
” Sorry gbenga, but we can’t kill him……you know very well he’s no just any ordinary police officer……this is MIA we are talking about” he said.
” so what?…..you’re going to let him get away easily….. What if he come after you or your men?” DPO said.
” If we kill him we are bringing war into our door step, the civilians loves him and if that happens, it’s not something that can be settled without shedding blood” he said.
” So what are you saying?” DPO asked .
” there’s only one thing I can promise you Gbenga……. I will arrest him if any of my men found him” he said.
” fine……arrest him and bring him to me” DPO said.
” okay good…….i will talk to you later……be careful” he said then the call ended.
The DPO called some other DPO and report it to them as well using the first statement.
Some of them agreed to kill him if they find him and some said they couldn’t but promise to arrest him.
” Dmn it” he cur$ed after the calls then the two officers came to meet him.
” sir, what did they say?” one of the officer asked.
” Few of them agree to kill him, while the rest said they can’t but to arrest him” DPO said.
” but Sir……i heard you telling them he kill two officers……but who?” the second asked.
” he hasn’t killed any officer lately” the first one said then the DPO shot him and he fell down dead.
” He just did” DPO said.
The DPO looked at the second one then pointed the gun at him.
” aaahhh….please Sir” he begged keeling before him.
” sorry boys……i know immediately they catch anyone among you will spill out everything that goes on here” the DPO said.
” sir……i swear I will never do that…..i swear” the second one begged.
” sorry boys……but I need people to believe the headline tomorrow morning and the only way to do that is to make it real” DPO said then he shoot at him and he died.
” Don’t worry……MIA will pay you a visit very soon”.
