Episode 25
Desmond’s POV
” Do you know someone by the name…..Dele Bakare?” he asked.
” Nah……I haven’t heard about that name before” I said.
” the boy was missing about seven days ago and from our findings you are not in town as well……so where were you?…..where exactly did you go” he asked.
” I don’t like where this is going?” I thought.
” I was suspended so I took some time off” I said.
” where did you go?” he asked again.
” I was out of town and trying to clear my head of things that’s happening in this City” I said hoping he’s going to stop there.
” but I……..”
” what’s happening?……are you taking me as a suspect without having any proof but a word from an unknown person” I said.
” do you mind if we go over to your house and search?” he asked.
” no problem……whenever you’re ready ” I said.
” let’s go now” he said and I and two of the agent went over to my car and I opened it.
I entered and I realized the other two are outside sniffing around like a mouse.
” what’s that smell?” he said.
” what smell……i don’t smell anything ” I said and he started searching around.
” open your boot” he said.
” there’s nothing in there……..i can assure you of that” I said with confidence.
” please sir……. Open this booth” he said then I press a button in my car and the boot opened.
The agents went over to the boot and just as I expected they came back to the door but with a devilish glare.
” Get out of the car now” he said pointing a gun at me which got me confused.
” What happen?” I asked.
” I said come out of the car now” he said again.
Some officers including the DPO went over to the boot and they are shocked with whatever they saw in there.
I got out and the agent handcuffed me and I went to the boot only to see a dead body of an unknown person in my boot.
I was surprised and confused at the same time, surprised how the body got there, confused at how someone would think of doing something as crazy and stupid as this.
” this is impossible, someone is trying to frame me here” I said.
” you can tell them that when you got to the national district ” the agent said then put me in their car.
I can see the look on the DPO and some other officers, they were shocked and surprised as well.
I’m not angry because they found a dead body in my car, I’m angry because someone tampered with my car.
They started the car and drove out of the station, while One of agents entered my car and drove after them.

Author’s POV
One of Mr Wellington’s men came to him in his house to relay the latest news.
” Boss, I’ve brought news” the man said.
” okay……spill it out” he replied.
” The plan worked…..MIA has been arrested ” the man said and Mr Wellington was filled with joy.
” woww…….that’s a good one….where is he now?” he asked.
” he’s been taken to the national district ” the man answered.
” good…..now proceed with the next plan” he said.
” yes Sir ” the man said.
” be fast with it…….we can’t take any chances ” he said.
” yes sir” the man said then he left the house.

(Da Silva Residence)
” Mom come see the news” Grace called to her mother in the kitchen and she came out to the parlour.
” The news about the famous police officer, ASP Michael I. Adams popularly known As MIA…….has been accused of murder”
” The dead boy is the son of honorable Biodun Bakare, who has been missing for about five days ago”
” The news was brought to us this morning about the missing boy to be found in the boot of MIA’s car”
” This came as a shock to everyone as no one could believe the news cause we all know who MIA really is”
” Nothing is certain as of now but the matter has being tend to”
” Right now as we speak the issue has being investigated by Federal intelligence and investigation bureaucracy “.
” Mom, that can’t be true?” Grace asked.
” Of course it’s not…… Desmond kill openly for people to see and he only kill bad people, we can’t always believe what we see on the news” Mrs Silva said.
” It his mess……he will find a way out” she added then went back to the kitchen.

Desmond’s POV
(National bureau of investigation)
The car arrived at the agency and I got down and they took me in, as we enter the agency I saw one man coming straight ahead to me.
” Heyy….why the handcuff like a prisoner?……
..remove it immediately, don’t you know who he is” the man said and the agent uncuffed me.
” looks to me like they don’t, but I’m not angry they are just doing their job” I said.
” I’m so sorry, ASP” he said.
” no problem ” I replied.
” I’m special agent-in-charge Seyi Thomas” he said.
” nice to meet you” I replied.
” please come with me” he said and I followed him.
As we keep going the people there are just staring at me as we go, I followed the man to one room and I sat down.
” Sir, this is really a difficult situation…..and I believe you have nothing to do with the death of this boy…….all you need to do is convince everyone that you took no part in that” he said.
” okay” I replied.
” alright…….you may begin” he said to the agents that came to get me and they move forward.
” MIA……why did you kill Dele Bakare?” he asked.
” I didn’t ” I answered.
” then who did? ” he asked.
” I don’t know…….probably someone is trying to pull a fast one on me ” I said.
” did you know dele bakare? ” he asked again.
” no I didn’t ” I answered.
” then what’s he doing in your boot?” he asked.
” like I said earlier……i don’t know maybe someone is trying to pull a fast one on me” I said.
” where were you five days ago?” he asked again.
” this question again? ” I thought.
” I was suspended” I answered.
” you are not in your place……so where did you go?” he asked.
” you see you keep asking stupid questions……
instead of you to let me help you with your investigation ” I said.
” well you’re not giving us anything ” he said.
” or I’m not admitting to what you want to hear…….oh please I’m a police officer…. I know what you’re doing ” I said.
” so tell us……how can you help?” he asked.
” now you’re talking………i have a camera in my car which I’m very sure will capture how the people put the body in my car” I said.
” you have a camera?…….why didn’t you say so?” he asked.
” well you’re not giving me a chance…….you just keep asking stupid questions” I said.
” how do we get the feed of that camera? ” he asked.
” get me my laptop….. It’s all in there” I said.
” okay let’s do that immediately ” he said and they made to leave.
” No no no……don’t worry……i don’t trust you people……you might just tamper with everything ” I said.
” then how do we get the recording ?” he asked.
” I need a system” I said.
” fine, let’s go” he said then we went out of the room.
As we came out of the room I saw a commotion right outside of the agency then a man came in.
The countenance on his face shows that he’s very angry and he made his way right towards my direction.
” Honorable Bakare, what are you doing here? ” SAC(special agent-in-charge) Thomas said.
” You……you killed my son….. How dare you” the honorable said then punch me on the face.
” Hon. Please calm down……we are not sure yet” SAC Thomas said.
” you’re not sure……this man is a criminal….a murderer….he’s supposed to be killed……And I’ll make sure you rot in jail for what you did” the honorable said.
” listen honorable or whatever they call you……i don’t know you and not even your son…..and if you keep insisting that I killed your son……you’re going to give yourself hypertension ” I said.
” then it will be so sad…..that you had to visit your son in wherever he is” I added.
” But if you dare lay your hands on me again……it will be sooner than you think” I said and I can see his angry growing more then I turn to the SAC.
” how dare you threaten me” he shouted.
” let’s do this…….and let me get the hell outta here” I said and they took me to one of the system in there and I sat down.
I begin typing and logged into the account I used for the cameras and after a minute I was in.
Everyone gathered beside me to see as I reminded the feed back to where the body was being dumped in my car.
I searched until it got to a place where I saw them putting the body, the car is still at the police station then.
The feed show me entering the police car after we left when we heard about the gunshot at the market place.
Then I saw two strange people dressed in police uniform carrying the body into my car, everyone saw it and they gasped out lout in surprise.
” Now do you all believe I have nothing to do with it ” I said staring directly at the honorable who is now shaking.
” please don’t kill me………I’ve heard about you…. Please spare me” he pleaded.
” I only kill bad people, as long as you are not one……then you are safe ” I said.
” who are those officers?” the SAC asked.
” I don’t know…… I’ve never seen them before at the station, see here ” I said zooming to their uniforms name which is blank.
” they have no name or identification on their uniform, they aren’t police officer, they only use that to gain entrance ” I said.
” how did they do that where there are officers all over?” the SAC asked.
” they are one clever bastard, they waited for the time the station will be left vulnerable ” I said.
” at that moment, a large part of the officers left to the market because we heard about the shootout ” I said.
” they are probably the one shooting at the market, they knew I will be at the crime scene so they could do their dirty job” I said.
” they are smart i’ll give them that but not smart enough ” I added then stood up.
” who do you think is trying to frame you? ” the SAC asked.
” I don’t know…….I’m not sure but whoever they are….I’ll find them ” I said.
” so what will you do now?” he asked.
” I’ll do what I do best……I’m going to hunt” I said then I turned to the honorable.
” I’m sorry for your loss honorable, a father shouldn’t lose his child in that manner ” I said then turn to the SAC.
” so can I go now?” I asked.
” of course sir…..sorry for the inconvenience” he said.
” no problem” I said.
” your car will be ready for you in a minute” he said.
” No… No need….the car is a mess now……beside
s investigation is still going on” I said.
” then we will order a cab for you” he said.
” no need, let your men take me back to the station the same way they brought me here” I said.
” whatever you need sir” he said then he gestured to some of his men and we left the facility.

Author’s POV
Mr Wellington was on a call with someone when one of his men entered, and immediately he saw the guy he hurried up with his call.
” yes, how did it go? ” he asked hurriedly as he ended the call.
” Sir, things didn’t go as planned” the guy said.
” what do you mean?……what happen? ” he asked.
” Sir……he was released immediately, looks like he have a camera in his car……everything was caught on camera which vindicate him” the guy said.
” whaaat, Damn it……. How is that possible?…..did he know we are going to do something like this?” he said in disbelief.
” right now……..the two men that were caught on camera are being wanted,……every police is looking for them as we speak” the guy said.
” Take some men with you……make sure you kill him today……..don’t let him suspect anything…..ta
ke him out unnotice” he said.
” yes boss” the guy said and he left then Mr Wellington called on another one of his men.
” yes boss ” the guy said.
” I need to move away from here just in case they got hold of any of those guys” Mr Wellington said.
” Alright Sir” the guy said.
” prepare to vacate……and gather the rest of the men, we are leaving this minute ” Mr Wellington said.
” okay boss” the guy said and they left the place.
