Episode 27
Author’s POV
After the call ended Mr Wellington threw the phone away and he was fuming angrily.
” Idi©ts, I can’t believe those m©r©ns fail to kill him” he spat out then called on one of his men.
” The men I sent to kill that ba$tard failed, now he’s coming for me” Mr Wellington said.
” Boss let him……..it’s a great move you made earlier about us vacating the mansion……..if only he can find us here” the guy said.
” yeah…..But I don’t want to underestimate that ba$tard, he might follow us here……or someone might have to him about this place” Mr Wellington said.
” well then let him, I and the men are ready for him or anyone that appears, how is he going to take on fifty men all by himself ” the guy said.
” make sure all the guys are with gun and it’s fully loaded” Mr Wellington said.
” Sir that might be difficult, cause only few of us have guns with them, we are unable to gather more due to us being in a hurry” the guy said.
” will that be enough?” Mr Wellington asked.
” of course Sir, even the rest have machete with them, there’s no way he can come through” the guy said.
” Good…….i just need this night alone and the first thing tomorrow morning I will fly out of this country” he said.
” You have nothing to worry about sir ” the guy assured.

Desmond’s POV
After I ended the call with Mr Wellington I stood up and pick my laptop and went out of the office.
I give back the phone to the police officer and went out without telling any of them my intentions.
I don’t know who to trust, there might be mole in the station especially with what is happening recently.
I stopped a taxi which took me back home, and as the taxi parked right in front of my house, I got down and I paid him.
I entered then went straight to my room and change my clothes to a black outfit which will blend well in the dark.
But before putting on my clothes I adjusted my wound so as to not reopen it.
After I’m done I tied the cartridge belt over my body then I inserted my gun and take three more rounds of cartridge and put then in place.
I took my dagger as well and set it beside me and use a coat to cover up, and as I was about leaving the room I thought about taking my favorite toy with me, so I quickly grab it and went back to the living room.
I linked the location of Mr Wellington to my phone to use as direction and also to know if he’s on the move, I remember what the DPO was telling about since morning then a thought came to me.
I bring out my phone and put a call through to my sister.
” hello” I said immediately she picked.
” hey Des” she said.
” Hi Sis, I need a favor to ask you ” I said.
After the call with my sister I went out of my house and took a taxi to the destination on my phone.
About half an hour later the taxi reached the destination and I told the driver to park at a few blocks away from the house.
I paid the man and got down from the cab, I moved closer to the house and looked through the gate and see the house fully guarded.
But not with security agency but with thugs due to their mode of dressing, and also there are lots of cars in the compound.
I can’t enter through the gate as they are ready for me with the guns in their hands.
The only other way to enter is through the fence which is surrounded with electric barbed wire.
Well thank God I have my favorite toy with me, the electric wire can only work if there is electricity.
I move away from the spot and find a very safe and secluded area for me to begin, and since it’s dark already I have a chance against them.
I put a call through to the DPO to let him know of my intentions and also for him to cover just incase things didn’t go as planned.
” hello sir” I said.
” MIA, we got to his house we can’t find him,…..the place is dead silent, do you think someone informed him we are coming ” DPO said.
” I don’t know but the reason I called is to tell you that I know where he is” I said.
” Really?…..you do?……… Where? ” he asked.
” I’m right there as we speak……i will send the address to you” I said.
” wait……whaat?……..you’re there?……what are trying to do?……do you want to get yourself killed” he said.
” Sir, he’s going to escape if I don’t stop him” I said.
” you can’t take on him and his men alone” DPO said.
” which is why am calling you for back up……..come over and help me” I said then ended the call.
I sent the address to his phone then I bring out my favorite toy(the E.M.P) then Activate it on and all the lights from the vicinity went off.

Author’s POV
Immediately the light went off Mr sprang up on his feet in fear and he started looking around.
” Heyyy, Anybody there?…..Heyy Musbad” he called and leader came in.
” Sir” he said as he entered.
” what happened?…….why is the light off? ” Mr Wellington asked in fright.
” we don’t know……cause it’s not only in this place but everywhere also” the guy replied.
” well, start the generator ” Mr Wellington said.
” the guys are working on it” the guy said and just immediately the generator was on and Mr Wellington heaved a deep sigh of relief.
” Good……please be on alert…..we d……” he hasn’t finish his statement when the light went off again.
” What the hell is going on? ” he shouted.
” I’m coming Sir….let me check on it” the guy said and he left and just a few minutes later he came back in.
” what happened? ” Mr Wellington asked.
” looks like the generator went off on it own and refuses to start” the guy answered.
” He’s here, I know he is” Mr Wellington said looking around.
” that’s not possible Sir” the guy said.
” I said he is……..Now go out and tell the rest to be on the lookout, and send ten(10) men in Here to guard me” Mr Wellington said.
” I need to get my things and leave here immediately” he added and the guy went out.

Desmond’s POV
Immediately I took of the generator as well then I pull off my coat and climbed the fence.
As I reached ontop I look around to make sure no one is around then I jumped into the compound.
I move stealthily in the compound and uses the bricks as cover as the place is crowded with thugs, I pull out my dagger then move to one and slit his throat.
I laid him down gently and pull him into a dark corner, I moved gently watching my move as I walk then moved behind another one and snapped his neck.
I did the same to about four more until the fifth one make a shout which alerted the rest then I killed him.
I heard the rest of them coming towards my position then I ran away from there and pull out my gun.
One of them spot me and shoot at my position but I use the wall and Cars as my cover.
Then I started shooting back at them killing them and sparing some but not without being injured, I keep changing my position as more and more of them keep running after me.
I realised most of them are carrying machete which give me a chance, then suddenly one of them appeared right in front of me.
Then he charged at me with the machete and as I tried to dodge it but I got cut on my arm.
As he tried to attack again I shot him four times on the chest before he went down.
This time around about ten of them are right in front of me holding machete and they attack me together.
As one of them got closer I shot his leg then took his machete and use it against them along with the gun.
Then it down on me that I’m out of bullet so I’m down with the ma¢hete, as one of them attacked me I caught his hand and then cut it.
I tried to run as the rest came after me then some other groups came right in front of me then I ran into the many cars in the compound.
Another one appear before me and made to hit me then I caught his hand then hit him at his balls and took his machete then cut off his hand.
I bring out my dagger and continue to run then a bullet hit me at my back.
” aaaaahhhh” I screamed then quickly move away from there.
I saw the guy moving closer and looking around for me, I quickly grab him by the neck and stab him continuously on the chest till he went down.
I took his gun and shoot at some others coming closer, I can’t use my left hand very well due to the gunshot I sustained in the evening, and now I can’t move very well due to the gunshot from now.
I continue hiding behind the cars as I listen to their footsteps, as Six of them walked passed I shot at them.
I was able to kill three then I ran out of bullet and I quickly pull out my d@gger and charge at them.
As they attacked I dodged their advances and $tab them with the dgger, the second tried to attack and I $tab him at his armpit then $tab him multiple times on his ¢hest same to the third one till they l went down.
Now I’m bl.eeding all over the place then I see someone behind me who tried to attack, and I tried to dodge it but I was unable to.
Then I was cut at the back which cause me to fall on the ground, as the guy come closer I threw the dgger at him and it went straight to his eyes.
I groan loudly in pain as I stood up and remove the dgger from his eyes and then sl1t his thr©at.
I looked around but see no one coming then I dragged myself towards the entrance of the house.
Then I stopped I know whatever is waiting for me behind that door is no good so I look around looking for another way in.
I couldn’t find another way in then an idea came to me, so I went back and entered into one of those cars.
Luckily the keys is still there so I ignited the car and drove with speed straight for the entrance which burst the door open.
Those at the other side aren’t aware of what I’m about to do which made me hit five of them hard with the car.
The rest of them ran away from the direction then I caught sight of Mr Wellington running upstairs.
I came down from the car and see among the five that I hit three of them are unconscious, while the two are on the ground bl.eeding.
By Now I’m soaked all through with bl©©d Then I see another five running towards me and I pull out my dgger, and move away from my position.
The ran after me then I charged at one of them, as he made to strike at me I took hold of his hand and stab him on his neck.
Then I see one getting closer I kick him down and broke his arm and as the rest tried to attack I used him for cover.
Then I sl1t his thr©at and faced the remaining three then I can hear the police siren from outside.
The three also heard it and run for their life leaving me alone, well I’m not here for them particularly.
I dragged myself upstairs to the room Mr Wellington ran into earlier, I tried to open the door only to find it locked.
I looked around and see a fire extinguisher at the corner then I went to grab it and hit it at the door and it open.
I entered and see Mr Wellington pointing a gun at me then I draw closer to him.
” You’re a m©nster?…….what the hell are you? ” he said.
” you don’t have to worry yourself about that cause you are going to die soon” I said then threw the kn1fe at him and at that same moment he shot at me which hit me on the chest.
” Aaaaahhh” we screamed together cause the kn1fe hit him on his arm causing him to drop the gun.
As he made to go for the gun I grabbed the flower vase on the shelve and throw it at him which hit him on the head.
I moved towards the gun and picked it up and pointed it at him.
” please, please don’t kill me……i don’t want to die……please ” he begged.
” I tried showing you mercy but you take it for granted, I tried giving you a second chance but you misused it” I said.
” it is quoted that ” if you continually show mercy to a reccurent provoker, your mercy will continue to less and less till you become merciless ” I said then shot him at both of his legs.
I moved closer to him and hit him hard several times till he went unconscious.
Since my left hand is inactive I used my right hand to drag him out of the room, I was on the stairs when I saw the DPO and the officers entering.
I dropped him right before the DPO and he was looking me all over like he’s seeing a ghost.
” He’s alive by the way…….i Tried to listen to you ” I manage to say.
” yeah he and some others in the compound, and you made sure they are half dead as well” DPO said.
” that’s what they get for being the bad guys” I replied groaning due to the pain.
” come, let’s get you to the hospital this time around, you look like sht” DPO said then help me out of the building.
The officers also caught the ones that tried to escape earlier and some others.
I can see the officers staring at me like I’m some kind of an alien, I even heard one of them saying ” Damn, this guy Is a total badass ” .

HOSPITAL
(Next Day)
After the terrific incident that happened yesterday, I can’t even remember much of how I got here in the hospital.
All my body hurts like hell, I can feel the pain at my back and leg almost like everywhere, all my body has been bandaged then the door open and the DPO entered.
” you’re awake ” he said as he move closer.
” Good morning Sir ” I said.
” No, it’s afternoon actually…… How are you feeling? ” he asked.
” like there’s a fire burning all through my body” I replied.
” yeah……that’s because you sustain a lot of injuries, you’re pretty banged up ” he said.
” you took them all by yourself, do you have a death wish going against them like that” he said.
” Sir, I had to cause I don’t trust anyone in the system, I’m sorry to say this sir…..Not even you” I said.
” that man has the previous DPO wrapped around his little finger which he could control anytime…….i don’t know if he have someone else in the station so I can’t let my intentions known to anyone” I said.
” I understand that you don’t trust anyone but at some point, you will have to trust someone ” he said.
” Sir, what made me stay alive this long is not because of my courage but because I don’t trust anyone ” I said.
” The system has been corrupted, sir no one can be trusted and I’d advise you not to trust anyone, not even me and it will keep you alive longer” I said.
” you have a point” he said.
” so what about the criminals?” I asked grinning to myself remembering the event again.

(FLASHBACK)
” Hi Sis, I need a favor to ask you” I said to my sister.
” is everything alright?…….you’re on the TV since morning” she said.
” yeah…..just dealing with some crazy people” I said.
” you mean those responsible for the dead we see on the news?” she asked.
” yeah” I replied.
” what do you need? ” she asked.
” I need you to prescribe a slow poison medicine for me, which will take a few hours to take effect” I said.
” why can’t you just kill them?” she said.
” I have my reasons” I said.
” alright…..uhmmm, if you can get Warfarin(COUMADIN)……it causes blood clothing ……that will do the trick but you will have to give that person a very high dosage” she said.
” alright……thanks sis” I said.
” welcome……..please be careful ” she said.
” yeah bye ” I replied then ended the call.
After ending the call, I went to the pharmacy not far from my place, and asked for the drug.
” where’s the doctor’s prescription? ” he asked.
” I lost it but I know what’s for……..it’s us! To treat blood clot” I said.
” and it can also kill someone if overdosed” he said.
” yeah I know, how much?” I said and he went to bring it then paid for it and I board a taxi to Mr Wellington’s location.
When I punched Mr Wellington to unconscious I bring out the medicine and since my sister says overdose I opened his mouth and pour it all into him before dragging him out of the room.

” Seriously?…..i thought you and I are having an understanding, when I first saw some of the criminal at the mansion alive, I was impressed that you didn’t kill them all”
” And when you bring out Mr Wellington alive from the room, I was more impressed that you finally listen to me” he said.
” Mr Wellington was announced on TV this morning as the man responsible for the incident happening in the city and was to be taken to court tomorrow Not knowing you have it all planned out” he said and I grin widely.
” Only for me to receive a call this morning that Mr Wellington is dead, they found a large amount of p©ison in him which made it unable for the doctor to save him” DPO said.
” ohh…tsk tsk tsk tsk tsk……that’s so unfortunate” I replied.
” bullsht……spare me the drama Mike, I know you’re behind that” he said.
” I don’t know what you’re talking about ” I said grinning widely.
” well our superior applauded us for the job we did to apprehend the criminal, especially you and I think there might be a promotion for you” he said.
” you think so?” I asked.
” I know so….and I believe you deserve it cause of the great job you did” he said.
” thank you Sir ” I said.
” I can’t believe I will be saying this……..I’m proud of you MIA……So proud of you ” he said.
” thank you sir” I replied.
” rest well” he said then went out.
” pheeeeww, I think I need a week or more to rest” I said to myself.
After this what next, I hope I don’t get myself killed one of these days, cause I barely made it out.
The only reason I’m still alive is because they all don’t have gun if not I will be long gone.
Well what can I say…..this is a battle of life and death and only destiny will choose the position we will be.
But as long as I’m alive the evil people will never go Scot free, I will take them all down and I will show no mercy.
