Episode 36
Desmond’s POV
After Mrs Wilson left Fred moved towards Desmond and unshackle the chains on his body and he dragged him out of the cellar.
While Desmond is being dragged to the abattoir he started hearing an impossible voice while in his unconsciousness.
” Wake up” the voice said.
” Brother wake……up, wake up brother wake up”
” wake up, wake up ”
wake up, brother wake up, c’mon wake up ”
” it’s time to wake up, BROTHER WAKE UPPP”
the voice shouted and Desmond opened his eyes.
He realised he’s being dragged then he jerked himself away from Fred, when Fred saw this he was surprised.
Desmond pounce on him immediately before he could make a noise, he grabbed his head then snapped his neck.
He dropped his lifeless body then he tried to move ahead then a thought came to him that what if they tried the bell again.
Then he looked for something to cover his ears and saw a pillow at a corner, he picked it and tore it apart and bring out the foam.
He cut a little part and stuffed it inside his ears to prevent what happened before.
As he continue moving he passed a room and he saw Mr Wilson holding a dgger, mr Wilson looked up and was surprised when he saw Desmond.
” how is this possible?…..you aren’t supposed to wake until the next five hours” Mr Wilson said.
” apparently you’re wrong ” Desmond said then charge at him.
Mr Wilson made to $tab him but Desmond held his hand then give him a headbutt and he staggered back.
He made to strike again and Desmond dodged all his advances then grab hold of his hand then break it.
” Aaaaahhhhhh” he screamed out loud then gave him an uppercut which sent him to the ground.
Desmond move towards him and snapped his neck, he stood up and made to leave the place and he stopped.
He returned and pick up the dgger and stb him countless times on his chest before sltting his thr©at just to be sure he doesn’t have any power to resurrect himself.
Desmond left the place and climb the stairs up to the main house not minding his nkedness.
He went to the parlor and saw both mother and daughter sitting on the couch watching a movie.
” aren’t you too relaxed ” Desmond said and they both sprang up to their feet and there’s fear written all over their faces.
” Oh my God……..How is this possible?” Mrs Wilson said then she reached for the bell.
” Mom hurry up” Angela said frighteningly as desmond moved closer to them.
Mrs Wilson jingled the bell continuously and nothing happened to Desmond as he already stuff his ears with foam.
” fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me, Never again” Desmond said.
They were both surprised to see him still standing on his feet and Mrs Wilson jingled it harder but nothing happened.
” You know one thing about me is that, I don’t spare ev1l doers whether it’s a male or a female…..i don’t spare any” Desmond said then charged at her.
He gave her a heavy blow and punch Angela on the face which sent her the ground while her bl.eeding face.
Desmond grab Mrs Wilson neck tightly then Angela stood up and tried to run away.
” if you dare run I promise you, you won’t reached the gate, and you will never be able to run again” Desmond said and she stopped.
” you all are one devilish family……but today is the last day” Desmond said then slit Mrs Wilson’s throat.
Angela stood there shaking as she see her mother choking in her own bl©©d till she gave up the ghost and she couldn’t do anything.
” please don’t kill me, I don’t wanna die” Angela begged crying as Desmond moved towards her.
” you don’t want to die huh, but you find comfort in killing people……you enjoyed it” Desmond said then stab her shoulder.
” Aaaaaahhhhh” she screamed in agony and said ” please forgive me, please I beg of you”
” Okay fine…….you are going to tell me some things, but first bring me my clothes and my phone?” Desmond asked.
” oo..okay…okay” she said then went to the backyard while Desmond followed her.
They got to the backyard and she gave him his clothes, they went back inside and gave him back his phone.
Desmond wore his clothes and put a call through to the ASP and she pick up after three rings.
? ” Hello” Desmond said.
? ” Hello SIR” she said.
? ” are you at the station?” he asked.
? ” yes Sir” she said.
? ” I will text you the address come over here immediately, and call the ambulance as well” he said.
? ” Are you okay sir?” she asked.
? ” I’m fine, just come over” he said.
? ” okay sir” she said then the call ended.
” tell me the address of your house” he asked facing Angela and she told him then Desmond text it to the ASP.
” Now tell me……what happened to the people you kidnapped?…..where are they?” Desmond asked.
” they are all dead” she said.
” whaaaaat, what did you do to them?” he asked.
” we…we….cut their body parts and deliver it to some of our clients ” she said.
” oh my God, what is wrong with you people?…….what kind of devil is inside of you”
” how are you even sleeping knowing you butchered so many people in cold blood” he said.
” God……who are these client of yours?” Desmond asked.
” I don’t know them, only my parent does…..but I know where you can find some of them” she replied.
” how can you stomach all this?……how can you do this to your fellow human?, are you even human at all? ” he said.
” It’s not our fault…… we…we were brought up like that…….we were trained since we are little” she said.
” Shut up, that’s acl crazy excuse….. don’t you know Good from Bad……. I can’t believe this” Desmond said then he started hearing the police siren as the police entered the compound.
Desmond stood up and went to the front door to allow them in, the officer were shocked to see the state Desmond is with his swollen face.
” Sir, are you alright?” The ASP asked as they entered the mansion.
” I’ll be fine, the good news is that the criminals are dead except one……and the bad news is that the the victims are all dead too” Desmond said.
” oh my God……..what about her?” she asked.
” she’s one them, she will show you the underground cellar, the others are there” I said.
” who are they?” she asked.
” they are one insane family” I said then went back inside.

(An hour later)
The press and the people in the neighborhood and also the parent and friends of all the victims came to the place.
The paramedics are looking into the injuries that Desmond sustained and they advised him to visit the hospital for proper treatment.
” Sir, you should break the news to the Press” The ASP said then he stood up and went to them.
” Sir”
” Sir, sir”
” Sir, Sir, Sir ” all the report shouted as he draw closer to them then he pointed to one of them.
? ” SIR, can you please tell us what happened here?” he asked.
? ” you all must be very worried about the people missing in this province for some time now, well they’ve been stopped” Desmond said.
? ” they are one crazy family who kidnapped people and make them for money” I said and they all gasped.
? ” Sir, can you please tell us what happened to the people they kidnapped?” he asked.
? ” I’m sorry to announce to you that they are all dead, they’ve cut their bodies’ part and sold them. ” he said and they all gasped out loud while some scream in agony.
? ” they didn’t kidnapped them, they lure them to this place, they use money and sex to lure them in…….please let’s be watchful who we get acquainted with” he said.
? ” they are still others out there and we are going to get them, the police are doing their best to capture the rest like them ”
? ” For those related to the victims, I offer my condolences…….I’m truly sorry for your loss ” he said then left the place.

(Conference room)
All the DIG’s are in the conference room except DIG Martins, they are discussing about the situation on ground.
” We need to act immediately before the others beat us to it” DIG Williams said.
” where is Martins?……he should be here by now” DIG Peters said.
” I called him and he said he will be here very soon” DIG Elliot said.
” remember he and the IGP doesn’t know the full story, so let’s be watchful of what we say” DIG Williams said.
” remind me why he should be here again? ” DIG Aliyu said.
” you know what needed to be done, we can’t invade the country with our agents, we need to be discreet, especially with this kind of mission” DIG Peters said.
” which is why we need Martins Agent, agent blackbird, with the way he did a clean job last time, I’d say he’s the best one for this kind of mission ” DIG Peters said then DIG Martins entered.
” sorry for keeping you all waiting ” DIG Martins said then he sat down.
” No worries ” DIG Williams said.
” so what’s this meeting all about?” DIG Martins asked.
” we have a situation at hand, there is a shipment heading here in Nigeria through the sea but there was windstorm which claim lives of those in the ship” he said then continue.
” why didn’t I hear about this?” DIG Martins said.
” because it is to be done under the radar…….and also it happens so fast that we don’t know what to do” DIG Peters said.
” why am I the last one to hear about this? ” DIG Martins asked.
” because we aren’t even sure about any of this………you think you’re the only one?……even the IGP doesn’t know about any of this” DIG Williams said.
” he’s telling the truth Martins, we aren’t sure……….we can’t hold on to something as crazy as this……which is why we need to be sure before we proceed and now we are” DIG Aliyu said.
” what is inside the container?” DIG Martins asked.
” we don’t know…..we have no idea, don’t you get it……it has to be valuable” DIG Peters said.
” what happened to the ship and the container…… did it sink?” DIG Martins asked.
” according to the captain of the ship, he said the contain has landed in a place but we don’t know where, the captain is the only survivor but not for long ” DIG Peters said.
” what do you mean? ” DIG Martins asked.
” he died few days ago but before he died he saved the location and everything about the container in a flash drive and also put a password to the flash drive keep it in a safe in that country” he said.
” which country?” DIG Martins asked.
” A bank in South Africa, in a town called umtata, so we need to get the file ” DIG Peters said and DIG Martins sighed.
” so how do you plan to recover this?” DIG Martins said.
” it’s a foreign country, you know we can’t do as we wish so we need to be discreet enough and attract no one” DIG Williams said.
” Lemme guess you need Agent blackbird ” DIG Martins assumed.
” yes Martins, with his last mission we were very impressed with the way he handled everything………so we decided he’s the best man for this job” DIG peters said.
” do you also remember what happened last time, someone tried to ruin things for him, he doesn’t trust you anymore ” DIG Martins said.
” for that we are deeply sorry but I assure him this is not dangerous, just to recover the file then get out the way he entered the country” he said.
” Fine……what about the bank?” DIG Martins said.
” the bank is called RMB private bank, it’s in safe no 292, but the problem is that before the captain died he was unable to give us the password of the file” DIG Peters said.
” But not to worry, we will be sending one of our cyber breacher with him, to do the job before they got out of the country……that’s all” he said.
” I’ll talk to him and hear what his reply with be” DIG Martins said.
” talk to him?……you’re supposed to order him not talk to him?….. He’s at your command for crying out loud” DIG Williams said.
” well unlike you all…….i treat my agent like a human being, I respect him and he respects me……. So if he doesn’t agree to it I’m sorry I can’t force him” DIG Martins said.
” this is unbelievable ” DIG elliot muttered.
” if he reject it……you will have to find another agent to do the job” DIG Martins said.
” Fine…….talk to him, and tell him how urgent and important this is” DIG Peters said.
” But you still haven’t tell us who this your agent really is, we know nothing about him and if he’s going to do this we need to know who he is” DIG Williams.
” I told you all before…….the only thing you need to know about him is that he’s Agent Blackbird….. that’s all ” DIG Martins said.

Desmond’s POV
After the encounter i had with the crazy family, I haven’t been able to go to the station cause I’m at home after being treated at the hospital.
The police arrested some of their clients and other people who helped them with their dirty job.
The commissioner and the other highly ranked officers in the city gave me a call and thanked me for the job.
I will be resuming back to work in the next few days since I’m strong already to begin work.
I received a code blue from my sister then I used my private line to call her back.
? ” Heyy big head” she said.
? ” Hi Sis ” I replied.
? ” I saw you on the TV……well done, I’m proud of you ” she said.
? ” thank you Vickie…….how is everyone?” I said.
? ” Fine, you should call mom you know ” Vickie said.
? ” yeah I know and I’m sorry, I’m just so worked up lately ” I said.
? ” ohh…..are you okay?” she asked.
? ” yes, I’m fine……..i saw the code, what’s up ” I said.
? ” I just want to let you know that the wedding will be happening next month and you have to be there” she said.
? ” fine I will” I replied.
? ” I’m serious Des, if you miss this I will disown you as my brother” she said.
? ” seriously? ” I said.
? ” don’t tempt me Des ” she said.
? ” I promise I will be there ” I said.
? ” Good, be careful ” she said.
? ” I will, love you” I said.
? ” me too bro, bye” she said then ended the call.
” woww, I better not miss it this time around, I have to make sure nothing stops me from going” I said.
Then a call came in and I checked it and see that it’s the DIG calling.
? ” DIG sir” I said picking the call.
? ” MIA, so good to hear your voice” he said.
? ” same here sir, how is the family?” I asked.
? ” we are fine, my wife and daughter went to visit my eldest daughter in Belgium, they will be back in a few days” he said.
? ” ohh that’s good” I said.
? ” yeah…….i heard about what you did in Shamla Province, I knew you’re the man for the job…….I’m proud of you MIA” he said.
? ” thank you very much sir, thanks for believing in me” I said.
? ” you’re one of the good ones…….in fact you’re the best I’ve ever seen” he said.
? ” thank you sir ” I said.
? ” So how fit are you?” he asked.
? ” fit enough to get back to work” I said.
? ” what do you say about going to another mission as agent blackbird ” he said.
? ” Sir? ”
? ” there’s a new mission and they want you to take it” he said.
? ” Sir, I will have to reject this……..you knew what happened last time, how can I work for people like that……i don’t want this kind of things ” i said.
? ” I understand but this isn’t dangerous, you have nothing to worry about……..your passage in and out of the country will be smooth…….a private plane will take you to and fro out of the place” he said.
? ” I’m really sorry Sir……..i can’t, at least not for now…..please understand ” I said.
? ” No problem……but try to reconsider, think about it and if you change your mind…….call me” he said.
? ” alright sir” I said then ended the call.
” I’m sorry…..i can’t let my sister down this time around” I said.
