CHAPTER TWENTY SEVEN

DAYS LATER.
“So tell me, have you had s*x with her?.”
“Uh..just asking dude, she’s kind of attractive you know and you two are kind of uh…sharing the same room. So uh..i thought you’ve…”
Those words whispered in my ears continuously, I couldn’t stop myself from thinking about it. I recalled how I felt when he said those things to me, very irritated. Something strange happened to me, I was super boiling up with anger when he shook her hand.
I splashed water on my face as i stared at my reflection in the mirror. Why the hell do I care anyway??, it’s just her hand…..even if he sleeps with her, i won’t give a fk about it…!
“She’s just fake.” I scoffed as I applied a shaving gel on my cheeks.

I walked back to the bedroom after having a shave and my bath, I already dressed up for work. I moved to the desk next to the side of the bed where she’s sleeping. As i grab my car keys, my eyes stopped at her face.
I squat to the level of the bed as I kept my gaze fixed on her, I just couldn’t look away from her. She looks…..beautiful..innocent as she sleep. And she also seemed tired, i felt a bit worried about her for a minute.
I stretched forth my hand towards her face slowly, i tucked her loosed hair behind her ear as a small smile unexpectedly curved on my lips.
“Why am i even staring at her??!.” I thought.
What is so special about the way she sleeps anyways…?. Was it because she looked innocent?. Could that be what attracted me to stare at her??. What is wrong with me??. I can’t seem to get hold of myself..
I heard a sound that made me get back to my senses, it was the key. It dropped from my hand since i lost control of myself.
“What the he.ll am I doing?!.” I scoffed angrily under my breathe.
I had no reason why my body froze when she slowly opened her eyes. She looked at me, those eyes, it held a lot of confusion.
“Am sorry.” I blurted out.
I stood up to my feet, picked up my car keys on the floor and walked towards the door. I didn’t look back at her as i got out. What was i thinking though, I apologized to her…, was I out of my mind?. Gosh my head, it hurts.
“Good morning.” I said heading to the dining room.
“Morning bro.”
“How was your night son?.”
“Fine.” I faked a smile.

A sound jolted me from my sleep, i was very much startled when i opened my eyes to see him knelt down in front of me, staring at me as if I have something on my face. I was so shocked.
“Am sorry.” He said low and in a very sweet voice which I thought it was very unusual of the Scott Wilson i know. I watched as he rose up to his feet, took his key and headed out of the door.
And hold on, did he just say sorry??. Why did he apologize?. Did he do something wrong??. Even if he did, he wouldn’t ever say sorry..! What’s up with him?.
Why was he staring at me as i slept..? “Was there something on my face?.” I thought and glanced at the mirror.
My face….it seemed fine, just that I look a bit tired. Well am always tired every morning.
Or….have I gotten into trouble??. Hmm, I don’t think so cause it didn’t seem like he was angry or something…he was very calm and that’s very frightening…..I see him as an innocent and calm being when asleep but he is fully awake, in fact dressed up for work so it was super terrifying to see him that way.
I flinched when i heard a knock on the door, my mind drifted to him…Scott would never knock so it mustn’t be him. But what if he is the one cause am not even sure of his behavior this morning….
“Who…who is it?.” I asked, standing up from the king sized bed.
“Rachelle ma’am.”
“Oh, come in please.” I said feeling a bit relaxed.
The door opens, she bowed her head and voiced out with a smile on her lips. “Good morning ma’am. How was your night?, was it beautiful like you?.”
“Morning Rachelle. It was, thank you.” I giggled.
“Alright ma’am. It is time for breakfast, let’s get you ready for this beautiful morning ma’am.”
“Hmm mm.” I nod.

I walked to them with a smile on my face as usual. “Good morning.” I greeted.
“Darling, how are you today?.”
“Am fine mom.”
“Morning Riley.” Says sister Yuri, I smiled and nodded in response.
Tonia….she looked at me with a look which I fully understood, hatred. Have always wondered why she is behaving like this but this time, I don’t care.
“How is my baby doing?.” Mom asked smirking at my small visible baby bump.
Scott looked at me immediately mom asked that question, what he told me that awful day I found out about my pregnancy flashed to my memory.
‘You’re gonna keep my child, I give you the grace of two months, after that you’ll go for an abo.rtion. I don’t want anything to do with you, get ready to get rid of that demon you’re carrying bch”
I forced a small smile and responded. “Doing great mom.”
“It’s sad i’d be leaving for my business today.” She sighed.
“You’re leaving?.” Scott asked.
“Yes dear.”
“Oh…so soon?.” Said Sister Yuri as mom nodded in response.

It is still a surprise that bitch didn’t take that water i specially prepared for her!. Ddmned!. She was supposed to take it just as I and Jessy planned…!. What could have made her not to take it….oh yeah. My bchy sister, Yuri….she was the one who made our plans not to be successful!.
“How is my baby doing?.” My boring mom asked the whore.
I almost let out a scoff, that ba$tard she’s carrying!. Am so going to destroy it, am pretty sure Scott doesn’t want it either, he’s just putting up an act.
“It’s sad i’d be leaving for my business today.” She said out of the blue moon.
“You’re leaving?.” Scott asked.
“Yes dear.”
“Oh…so soon?.”
Mom is going back to Canada????, great..! That means i’ll be free from her nagging and her dumb control over me, she just doesn’t get the fact am no more a kid…!
Most importantly….I can get to carry out my plans smoothly now that she’s traveling. Oh…yeah, she won’t be around to witness what am gonna do to this bch.
“Don’t miss me too much dear.” Mom faced me.
“I’ll soon be back, make sure you behave.” She said in a stern voice.
“Sure.” I faked a smile. I felt so mad as a bear with a sore head!., behave??, s¢rew that!.

Scott already left for work. Sister Yuri, Tonia and i walked mom to the parking lot.
I felt…sad and scared at the same time, scared the person who supports me even if she doesn’t know this marriage is fake, is leaving. How would things go now….?.
“One more thing, you guys should take good care of Riley okay?.” Declared Mom as a maid helped in dropping her luggage in the car booth.
