“Wow thanks a lot Tonia.” I exclaimed angrily clapping my hands since I found what she did earlier to be very stupid.
“What do you mean?.” She muttered low. Obviously, she doesn’t get my point!. Such a dullard!. Normally, I don’t hang out with people like her, dumb ass!. They piss me out like fk!. Am only being close to her cause of Scott.
“You watched as that good for nothing piece of sht insult me and all you could do was to do nothing!.” I half yelled.
“Babe, am sorry. I was just startled she could speak back to you. She used to be the quiet type so I was….”
“Zip it.” I scoffed.
“Am sorry.” She muttered.
“Anyways, we still have to do something concerning this situation. Riley or whatever her name is, she’s gonna pay, we have to act fast!. ”
“I think my brother is getting soft on her.” She said.
“What?.” I snapped.
“Calm down okay.. Just saying what I noticed.”
“That mustn’t happen, we need to do something fast!.”
“I have an idea.” She beamed.
“What is it?.”

I felt bored today, being alone in my mansion almost tore my soul apart. I sent Jay a test. “Hey bro, wanna grab lunch?.” And gladly, he responded yes.
It has been a while since I hung out with my friends, I missed those times when we always had fun at the club. I could have also sent Scott a text or call him but I didn’t want to disturb him cause I am very positive he’d be at work at the moment. He is a very busy guy, i envy him for that. Such a workaholic!.
So currently, am waiting for Jacob’s arrival in an open air restaurant, one of my favorites!. I already ordered coffee to quench my thirst and as I was about to take a sip from it, something caught my attention.
A green sheet of paper, kept under the white vase on my table. I placed down my coffee and removed the paper underneath the vase. I unfolded it with curiosity. I checked the content and it contained just six words.
Of course I felt scared and also confused as I stared at this strange sheet. I glanced around to see if it was the waiter that dropped it but he isn’t nearby.
What was I thinking?. A waitress or waiter can’t put down such terrifying words for a customer to read!. “What is this??.” I muttered, staring at it.
Boldly written in capital letters, it says; BE CAREFUL, HE IS A D€VIL.
What does that mean?. Who kept this on my table??. And Who is this devil the writer is referring to??!.
“Bro!.” I heard, snapping me out of my intense thoughts.
..
“Hey Jay.” I smiled as I kept the sheet in my pocket.
I stood up to greet him with a hug. “Thanks for making it bro, you’re a life saver.”
“Oh it’s nothing dude.” We took our seats after we disengaged from the brief manly hug.
“So how you doing?.” He asked.
“Like I said in my text, bored as hell.” I said as he chuckled.
“Sorry bro.”
“Yeah, would you also like coffee?.” I asked.
“Uhm snacks would do.” He shrugged, I called the waiter’s attention to get Jay’s order.
“Have you heard from Melissa?.” I questioned as soon as his snacks were brought to him.
“Uhm no, why?.” He chuckled as he took a bite on his bagels.
“Well huh I haven’t seen or heard from her and am kind of worried you know. Melissa, I know her well. She isn’t like this, she can’t just disappear like this.” I sincerely voice out to him.
“You see my friend, life goes on and I think Melissa has obviously moved on with her life. She might have left this country to start afresh or who knows…” He shrugged.
Left this country???. My heart skipped to that. Alright….I gat to admit, i….i still care about Melissa, her leaving would definitely break my heart even more. I still love her, the main reason why I decided to hang out with Jay was to cool my mind.
I just couldn’t stop thinking about her, I can’t sleep without seeing her in my dreams. I miss her, I never knew I would miss her this much!. I thought we would be forever inseparable not until this sht happened.
I have tried her number multiple times, she didn’t pick and that really bothered me. She’s ignoring me, is she moving on just like what Jay said?. No, it shouldn’t be!.
Even if she’s at fault, I am ready to forgive her. I’ll even apologize to her and tell her how much I need and love her. I don’t wanna lose her….!.
“Ryan, are you okay?.” Jacob called looking concerned.
“Am..am fine.” I forced a smile.
“You miss her don’t you.” He said, out of the blue moon.
“I do, a lot.” I said as a tear strolled down my cheek. I used my thumb to wipe it away as I sniffed back the tears that dared to fall.
“Am sorry bro, it’s my fault. I shouldn’t have gone to your place, I..”
I interfered. “Jacob, please it isn’t your fault. Don’t say that.”
“But…”.
“It’s okay. Am fine, i’ll get over this.” I faked a smile.
“Alright.” He nodded.
“So how is life?.” I asked trying the change the topic cause the atmosphere felt really awkward.
“Pretty good.”
“That’s great.” I smiled.
“You know what..” He said having the last bite of his bagels while I had just coffee.
“What?.” I tilted my head.
“You don’t have to think about Melissa. Am sure she is having the best time of her life wherever she is. So you need to move on with your life Ryan.” He said.
Really?. I felt hurt but I hid my emotions with a smile.
“Sure, thanks for the advise.”
He nodded his response with a smile as he stood up looking down at his wristwatch. “I have to go now.” He said.
“Huh? So soon?. Thought we’re gonna head from here to the club.”
“Sorry bro, got business to attend to.”
“Alright then, thanks for hanging out with me.” I said feeling a bit of happiness.
“You’re welcome.” He turned to leave.
“Jacob.” I called him back sharply.
“Yeah?.”
“You won’t believe what I found on this sheet of paper.” I wanted to say but i let it slide. It sounds childish to voice out.
“Nothing, bye.” I smiled waving at him.
“Gosh don’t be like a weirdo, bye.” He waved back as he walked to where his car was parked. I watched as he got in and drove away.
I sighed, having that feeling again. Loneliness….it’s deadly as fk.
I folded the paper and threw it away. I stood up, placed some cash on the table and left. Guess i’ll be heading to the club alone…

Good Lord!. I felt so annoyed when Ryan asked me questions concerning that bch who’d have decayed by now.
“Have you heard from Melissa?.” I almost flinched when he asked me that but i acted cool anyway.
“The last time I heard from her was the time I sent her to h’ll dimwit.” I said within.
“Uhm no, why?.” I replied feeling a little uneasy with his sudden queries of that sIut.
“Well huh I haven’t seen or heard from her and am kind of worried you know. Melissa, I know her well. She isn’t like this, she can’t just disappear like this.”
I noticed how his face became dull when I said she could have left this country which of course isn’t true. He still have feelings for her, coward!.
“Ryan, are you okay?.” I asked, pretending to look worried.
“Am..am fine.”
“You miss her don’t you?.”
“I do, a lot.”
“Am sorry bro, it’s my fault. I shouldn’t have gone to your place, I..”
“Jacob, please it isn’t your fault. Don’t say that.” He cut in.
“But…”.
“It’s okay. Am fine, i’ll get over this.”
“Alright.” I nodded.
Well if you say so je.rk!.
“You don’t have to think about Melissa. Am sure she is having the best time of her life wherever she is. So you need to move on with your life Ryan.” I said.
Yeah pretty sure she is crying her eyes out in h’ll as we speak. Don’t worry lover boy, she is under control….trust me.
Sure, thanks for the advise.” He told me with a sad look and i don’t give two fks about it.
I glimpsed my wristwatch. “I have to go now.” I said.
“Huh? So soon?. Thought we’re gonna head from here to the club.”
“Sorry bro, got business to attend to.”
“Alright then, thanks for hanging out with me.” He smiled.
“You’re welcome.” I turned to leave.
“Jacob.” I stopped when he called my name.
“Yeah?.”
“Nothing, bye.”
