Chapter 118
Martin sighed, staring at his phone confused.
“Who was that?” Evelyn asked as she sat beside him.
“Oh, it’s no one important,” He faked a smile, and Evelyn nodded.
He really wanted to tell her, but since Mr. Jackson said he shouldn’t tell her, then he shouldn’t. Maybe it’s for her own good.
“I’m so hungry,” She pouted her lips, and Martin cracked.
“The maids are preparing the meal. It will be ready soon,” He said, and Evelyn nodded.
Her phone beeped, and she looked at it only to see it was a message from Charlotte.
“Have you talked to him?”
She sighed and looked at Martin.
She forgot about it.
“Hmmm Martin, I want to ask you a question,” Evelyn said, and Martin nodded, setting aside his wine.
“Hmmm, would you approve of a relationship between your sister and any of your friends?” Evelyn asked, and Martin scoffed.
She was trying to find a way to start the conversation.
“When we became friends, we made a vow not to cross certain limits, and dating any of our siblings was something we never approved of,” he said, and Evelyn sighed.
This is really a bad idea.
“Why are you asking?” He raised his eyebrows at her, and Evelyn gulped.
“Oh, it just crossed my mind,” she faked a smile, and Martin chuckled.
“But what if your sister fell in love with one of your friends?” she asked, looking at him with a glimmer of hope.
“They know better than to reciprocate her feelings,” he replied, and Evelyn huffed.
“Seriously, Martin, you are something else. Dating one of your friends is not a bad idea for her.
Besides, you are not going to be the one to choose a man for her,” Evelyn exclaimed, and Martin huffed.
“Why the heck are you bringing up this topic?” Martin said, and Evelyn sighed.
“Well… Charlotte is in love with Cole, but I think they will be a perfect match together,” she said, and Martin just stared at her.
“Martin, it would be bad if you give them a chance to be…” Before she could complete her sentence, he had already walked upstairs.
A young girl could be seen walking through the long passage of a school when suddenly she was dragged into an empty room, making her panic, but immediately she saw him, she felt relieved.
“Cole,” she stuttered, and he smiled at her. She wrapped her hand around her neck and kssed him, which he immediately reciprocated.
The kss was passionate, each of them savoring the touch of their lips.
They broke the kss and stared at each other.
“Where have you been? I didn’t see you in class, so I thought you were avoiding me,” she said, looking down at her feet, and Cole chuckled, raising her head to look at her.
“I couldn’t avoid you. I realized I’m ¢razy about you, and I’m not leaving you because of your brother,” he said, and she smiled.
She threw her hand around his neck, and they hugged each other.
“Come on, let’s go to class. We have the same class today,” he said, holding her hand, and she smiled as she looked down at their hands.
She was so happy that he finally accepted her.
