CHAPTER 36
Cerlia had tears falling freely from her eyes as she stared at them.
Raphael broke the kss seconds later and they both stare at Cerlia who was crying a river
” Hope you’re convinced now?” Godiva asked and Cerlia ran out of the house
” Or You can choose to stay and watch more of our make out” She screamed behind her ( Cerlia ) but she didn’t look back
” You’ll regret this, both of you ” Cerlia muttered as she left in tears
” I’m sorry about that..” Raphael said
” You.. ermm….I..”
‘ Wait.. why am I stuttering?’ She wondered then cleared her throat
” I need to go.. ” she said and left the house in a hurry while Raphael sigh
” What did I just do? ” He asked himself, sitting on the floor..
Godiva’s nose mask was on the floor since it fell from his hands when he pulled it off her face
He reach for it and exhaled as he stared at it
” Thanks for helping ” he muttered

” You’re home..” Vespertine said immediately he sighted Godiva at the door..
He had been in the sitting room ever since she left the house
” So how did it go?” Came Alora’s voice
” OMG!! Lora ” She called, excitingly. ” I thought you left for real ”
” Why would I? I’ll be leaving soon but not because of something as petty as that, I went out for a bit” She winked
” Right, I’ll be in my room now.. ” Godiva said, taking the stairs
” Did something happen?” Alora asked
” I’m fine so don’t think too much.. ” She let out a tight smile which made Alora laugh
She knew her cousin so well
” Don’t give me those fake smiles… I’m gonna eat your meal since you aren’t eating..”
” Yeah, you have it all to yourself” Godiva replied entering her room and shutting the door
She threw her bag on the couch and sat on her bed, her mind drifting back to the kss and she frowned
” Why would he kiss me? Just why? His lips felt really soft though” she said absentmindedly, falling on the bed and staring at her ceiling
” He’s gonna pay for being the first person to ever kiss me on the lips.. ” she muttered, closing her eyes slowly
” I hate you, I really hate your guts..” she said in her sleep

” Are you skipping classes again viper? Did a teacher bully you? Mr. Hamburger, did he slap you?” Godiva asked sitting next to him
” Mom called, she said she’ll be back today and will be coming over to say hi later..” Vespertine ignored her questions
” Who’s hamburger? Why would anyone bear such name” Alora asked, going to seat next to Vespertine
” So why aren’t you going to school?” She asked him
” Nothing, I don’t just feel like. I might have a rethink when Raphael comes ” Vespertine replied and Lora flicked his head
” Seriously diva, I don’t understand why you want to employ him ” Alora said
” You seem to know him..” Godiva said
” Right, he told me you go to his place often so I thought you went to persuade him to come work for diva..” Vespertine said
” Yeah, I got to know him thanks to the break up with Mike.. ” Alora sighed, explaining everything to them
” Wait you kssed him?” Vespertine laughed
” Are you nuts? I see why’s he’s avoiding you and calling you a pest” He laughed again and Alora smacked his head
” Ouch, stop that you pest ” He laughed
” Say that once more ”
” P…E…S…T, Pest ” Vespertine spelled, making funny faces at her
Godiva just remained mute, her mind drifting to what happened at Raphael’s home
” But why do you want to employ him?” Alora asked again, jolting Godiva out of her thoughts
” Nothing.. I just want him around, like my personal guard or something ” She replied
” Wow, you’re something else” Alora chuckled softly
” Let’s eat breakfast, I’m hungry” Vespertine stood up..He held both Alora and Godiva’s hands as he pulled them towards the dining

” So what’s it you wanted to say?”
” I’m quitting..” Raphael replied and Arnold turned to him at once..
He nodded and Arnold immediately understood what he was trying to say
” But why? ” Zach asked
” I don’t think it’s proper telling you my reasons for wanting to quit since they’re personal. I’ll take my leave now..” he bowed
” Is the pay small? I can increase it you know..” Zach said
” It’s something far from that.. ” he smiled and turned to Arnold
” I will always come see you no matter how busy I am” he gave Arnold’s shoulder a gentle press
” You can take the bike, it’s all yours.. ” Arnold said and he chuckled
” Don’t tell anyone where I’m going to okay?” He whispered and Arnold nodded.
He faced Zach again and did one last bow before walking out of the club
He got on the bike and drove off while pepper smiled as he watch him

Raphael parked his bike and dismounted it.
Godiva was just leaving the house ready for work. she was about entering her car but stopped when she sighted him
” Good morning.. ” he greeted
” Why did you change your mind?” She asked, standing in front of him
” He isn’t putting on any cologne today.. ” she muttered
” Don’t Tell me you changed your mind because of what happened in your home yesterday cos I’m really angry about that and might just kîll you if that’s the reason you came” she said
” I’m sorry about what happened. Forget about it and pretend it didn’t happen at all. You started it after all, you seduced me into kssing you. ” He replied
” What?” She exclaimed unbelievably
” I only came for the job with no aim at heart so don’t worry, your secret about your allergy is safe with me”
” What?”
” Are you in or not?” He asked ignoring her
” Are you commanding me now?” She raised a brow
” You wish but if you say no, then I’m leaving here and won’t be coming back no matter what you or anyone says” he said and she just stare at him unbelievably
” Since you aren’t saying a thing, I’ll take that as a no then.. ” he said and turned to leave but she held him back
” Jeez.. he’s got some nerves..” she breath out
” Fine.. ” she finally said
” Fine?” He creased his brow
” I’m in..” she said, letting go of his hands
” That’s good ” he stretch forth his hands for a hand shake but she scoffed before sI.apping his hands off
” I’m your boss and I don’t touch dirt.. let’s avoid body contact” she said and walked back inside while Raphael inhaled
” It wouldn’t be easy staying under the same roof as her….Hope I survive it.. ” he muttered still staring at Godiva who was already entering the house
