Secret love
Chapter two
“Goodbye Ethan,” I tell him as I get out of the car.
As soon as he is out of the school compound I walk down the hall to my locker. I lock it after getting the books I need and my heart almost jumps out of my chest when i hear a scream behind me. As I quickly turn to look, someone who I just realised was serena jumps at me with a tight hug almost knocking us both down.
”Hey what’s your problem?!” I tell her as I try to push her off me.
”I missed you sky, come on show me some love” she says hugging me tighter.
” Are you trying to kill me , let go Serena” I tell her, and she finally lets go off me.
”You almost killed me !” I tell her pretending to gasp for air.
”Oh come on! so dramatic,” Serena says.
”Am dramatic ?” I ask her almost shouting. “Have you met yourself ,I mean its only being two days of not seeing each other and you almost hugged me to death”.
”Ok , I guess am a little dramatic but that’s why you love me, come on lets go ,” she takes my hand leading me to class.
Serena might have being crazy but she always took school seriously. We met in 6th grade and have being close ever since.
”Today is the day sky, am so nervous ,”Serena says as we take our sits.
”You… nervous? i never thought this day will come,” I tell her acting surprised .”I still don’t think this is a good idea Serena, what if he doesn’t like you that way. I still think you should let him do the asking.”
”Come on ,we are in the 21st century ” Serena says looking at me as if am from another planet.
”Ok but if this goes wrong, don’t say I dint warn you.”
”Ok mom,” she says sarcastically rolling her eyes.
”Speaking of the devil ,” Serena says looking towards the door.
Jay walks in heading to his seat right in front of me.
”Damn, this guy is hot” I tell myself as he sits and turns to look at us.
Jay is simply gorgeous. He was always good looking ever since I can remember! The thing I like about him most is that he is very kind and understanding. He was every girls dream guy tall, handsome , cute and muscular in all the right places and was a lead singer in a band.
I mean, who wouldn’t want him, right?!
A lot of girls had asked him out before but he always let them down easy. There was this one girl who never took no for an answer and jay had to ask for our help. He asked Serena to be his pretend girlfriend and tell the girl off since she was the daring one , I think that’s how Serena got the impression that jay liked her.
”Hi ladies,” jay said with his deep voice while smiling at us.
I swear I dint know when this started happening but his voice made me nervous as hell! I always found him attractive, but I never thought I would actually like him more than a friend, or maybe it was just my hormones acting up. I really hoped this obnoxious feeling would go away soon.
”hey handsome, always nice to see you,” Serena says winking at him while I gave him a smile.
Jay laughed softly shaking his head, he was already used to her craziness. I really dint know how he was going to react to what Serena had in store for him.
”Do you have any plans after practise ?” Serena asks him.
I was secretly hoping that she would stop this madness but I guess that wasn’t happening.
”No I don’t have any plans, why, whats up?”
”Can I take you out on a date?”
I felt like my heart was going to jump out of my chest as we both waited for his answer.
”On a date? he asked looking confused his eyes shifting from me to Serena.
He knew that Serena had a crush on him but I guess he never thought she would ever ask him out!
”Yes, I mean you’re single and am single so lets mingle right?
I Swear Serena always says the craziest things.
At this moment, time felt like it was frozen, suddenly Jay looked uncomfortable,and something told me that this was not going to end well!
”Come on give her a chance, I know you’ll both have a lot of fun,” I trie to help Serena out.
”You really want me to go out with her?” He asks giving me a very weird look.
”Yes , why wouldn’t I ? I ask confused by his question.
”Nothing just asking. Ok then it’s a date but lets just do this as friends first and see how this goes, Ok?”he says not sounding to excited.
”OK, am good with that,” Serena says excitedly.
Serena was so happy that she dint really catch the uncertainness in jays voice.
Jay gives us a tight smile and then turns to settle in his seat. From his expression I knew he said yes just so he wouldn’t hurt her feelings. I really wanted them to work for Serena’s sake, but somehow, I knew if they ended up together it would kill me mentally!
”Well…lets hope this wont get to Jason ,”I tell Serena right before the teacher walks in.
”He knows he’ll never get another chance with me,” she whispers as we turn our concentration to the teacher.
Jason is Serena’s ex boyfriend.She broke up with him after we caught him making out with Joy, a girl we dispised most in school. We later found out that he was actually innocent. Joy had set a trap for him just so she could hurt Serena.
I really don’t know what happened between Joy and Serena but these two hate each others guts! and joy always tried her best to hurts her. I was caught in the middle, obviously because I was Serena’s friend, and so I became her enemy too.
Anyway Serena didn’t care whether it was a trap or not because she was already crushing on Jay.
