chapter 3
Serena grew more restless as the day neared it’s end.In our last class she kept on glancing at her watch, counting down the minutes left to her date. Jay didn’t share the last class with us, but he had already told Serena he’d pick her up after his rehearsal .
As soon as class was over, Serena was out of her seat and already making her way to the door. I thought she had forgotten about me until she stopped and turned to look at me.
“You’re still sitted?! She asks her eyes wide open.
“Am not the one going on a date and anyway you already forgot about me,” i say trying to look as upset as i could.
Ofcourse i was just playing with her.
” What are you talking about? you know I’ll never forget you, and would you stop been so dramatic! I thought we agreed that was my thing.”
“You almost left without me, this has never happened before.Am afraid i will loose you once you start dating Jay.”
Serena walked towards me and stood infront of me.Her face had changed from the excitement it had to worry.I had no intention of upsetting her, but i guess my acting was really good.
“Dont ever say that again ,you are literally the best thing i ever had and i dont ever want to think about loosing you,” She said looking at me with a sad expression on her face.
“Hey, i was just kidding.Please dont be sad,” i say stretching out my hand and pulling her in a tight hug.
“Ok enough of all this emotions,lets go and get you ready.”
“Ok ,but dont mess with me again ,you know i can be an emotional freak when it comes to you,” she said taking my hand as we both finally left the classroom.
Her brother chris was always her ride to and from school. Sometimes when Ethan was busy i would ride with them and this was going to be one of those times.
Chris was a very charming guy with a warm smile.He was the type of guy you would talk to all day and since he had the looks of a movie star, he could have any girl he wanted and i guess that was what made him a flirt. He was literally dating a different girl every week and i dint blame them. I mean, he had the looks and the charm.
“Ladies,” Chris greets us giving us quick hugs.
“What got you so excited?” he asks his sister as we get in the car.
“I don’t have to tell you,but since you asked, am going on a date with Jay.”
“So he finally asked you out huh?” Chris says as he drives off the school compound to the main road.
“What do you mean finally,” Serena asks looking from me to chris.
“Hey, don’t look at me ,am no snitch!” i tell her knowing what she is thinking.
“Come on siz! it’s crazy obvious from all the longing looks you give him when he’s around ,even mom knows,” chris said.
I really enjoyed the company of this two.They really liked banging heads with each other always arguing over everything.I know this was common among siblings but theirs was extreem!They were the best entertainment , all i need was some popcorn and i was good to go.
“Just so you know i was actually the one who did the asking,” Serena said as i watch chris to see his reaction.
“Really now?! That’s not surprising anyway am glad my sister is a dare devil,” he said.
“Wow this should definetly be recorded! You two have actually agreed on something.I never thought I’d live to see this day!” i say shaking my head in disbelief.
“You know what i cant believe is that you dont have a girl in your car today, What happened did all your latest collection dump you ?” Serena says, a wicked smile on her face.
She was sctually trying to start another argument and i was in the back seat ready and set for the show.
“Dump me! for your information am usually the one who does the dumping ,” chris says his eyes focused on the road.
“I cant believe you’re bragging about that,”i told him not really surprised.
“They always know what they are getting into when they start going out with me,i never deceive them, and anyway the only reason i do this is because i cant have the one that i want.”
“Oooh… the little player is heartbroken,” Serena says mocking him.”
“Dont say that Serena, its really had loving someone you can never have,” I say hitting her softly on the shoulder.
I hadn’t registered what i had said,until Serena turned to look at me.
“Are you inlove with someone sky?!She asked.
“Ofcourse not, i was simply stating a fact. Who’s the lucky girl Chris?” i asked trying to shift Serenas attention from me.
“You’ll both find out soon enough, and thankyou for defending me from my crazy sister, i really love it when you are around,” Chris says as he turns and winks at me.
“I thought i told you never to flirt with my friends,” Serena said giving him a death glare.
“I was just thanking her Serena,and come on ,have you seen your friend?! It’s going to be so hard to keep that promise,” Chris said as he parked the car.
“I know she’s gorgeous, and thats why she needs someone who will only love her, so don’t mess with her.”
“Ok you two, thanks for the compliment but would you stop talking about me as if i wasn’t here,” i said getting out of the car. This two were really unbelievable.
