Secret love
chapter 9
Jay’s pov
“What’s your problem dude? ” Chris asked as he walked past me to go after sky but I stopped him.
“Don’t you dare go after her! ” I said as i pushed him roughly to the ground.
Am so pissed off right now. I don’t know what happened to me, but when I saw Chris all over sky, all I wanted was to beat the hell out of him!
“I am aware of the stupid shit you do to girls, and I will never let you do that to her, leave her alone if you don’t want me to rip your head off, ” I said giving him a deadly glare.
“Why are you acting all jealous, ” Chris asked
getting up from the floor, are you I inlove with her? Don’t think I didn’t notice the way you were looking at her while you were dancing.”
I took a step towards him and grabbed his collar.
“Of course I love her. she’s my best friend and I will always watch over her, so stay away from her! ” I said as i let go of him and turned to go find sky.
I pushed my way through the crowd full of drunk teenagers who were obviously enjoying the show. I really messed up big time and I hopped sky would forgive me. I was never a violent person, but sky was doing things to me that I couldn’t explain.
Sky was the best thing that ever happened to me. Being with her made me feel like everything I ever needed and wanted in my life was with me. Holding her in my arms was something that I couldn’t get enough of, and making her smile had become everything i ever wanted to do, but lately i’ve been messing up.
I couldn’t tell you the exact moment I fell in love with her. I was in denial for months, until the day that Serena asked me on a date. It really hurt me that sky had no problem with me dating her best friend, and that was proof enough that she didn’t feel the same way I did.
I had two practical options, either tell her just how much I loved her , take the risk of loosing her, and our friendship, or I could just pretend that I don’t, lie to both myself and her, but protect our friendship. Any rational thinking person would’ve picked the second option, and that’s what I did. I would rather have her as a friend than not at all.
I went to the living room and my eyes scanned the whole room but there was no sign of her. Just as i was about to leave and try to find her outside I spotted Serena dancing with random guy and I went over. Serena saw me before I reached her,and she moved fast giving me a hug.
“I missed you Jay ,where did you go ?” She asked her head leaning on my chest.
looking at her I noticed she was super drunk.
“What happened, why did you drink this much? ” I asked her.
“There was nothing else left to do after you left me to go find sky. Why do you always leave me? Why cant you just love me ha? ” she asked hitting my chest lightly. The alcohol was really getting to her.
Serena was a nice girl, but I just couldn’t love her the way she wanted me to although sometimes i wish i did. That would have made things much more easier.
“Am sorry I left you, Have you seen sky around? I’ve been looking for her and I can’t find her. ”
“Sky again? Why can’t you just let her have fun, stop treating her like a child already, ” she said rolling her eyes.
“You’re too drunk to be left alone, let’s go find you a room so you can lay down, ” I told her taking her hand and leading her upstairs.
l was familiar with Jim’s house since this wasn’t my first time here. I went straight to his room and thankfully it was unoccupied. I layed Serena on the bed tucking her in and made sure that she was okay.
“Have some rest, I’ll come get you once I find Sky. ”
“OK,” she said , and I walked out of the room closing the door behind me.
“Hey Sam, ” I called out as I saw him about to go down stairs. Sam was the bassist in the band and also Jim’s close friend.
“Hey bro, happy birthday, ” he said as he approached me and gave me a bro hug.
“Thanks, have you by any chance seen sky? ”
“Actually yes, I saw Jim carry her upstairs some minutes ago, I think she was too drunk to walk. ”
“Wait, what?! there’s no way that she could have been drunk, I was just with her not long ago. ”
“I don’t know men but that’s how it looked like to me. Maybe he took her to his room you should check, “Sam said.
“I was just there and she isn’t, I’ll check the guest room, see you later, “I told him as i ran
down the hall to the guest room.
My heart was beating very fast. I hoped against hope that nothing had happened to her.
I knocked the door to no avail and decided to budge right in. l sighed in relief when I saw sky lying on the bed. She was covered all the way to her neck. I went closer and sat on the edge of the bed to check if she was awake.
At that moment i heard a sound coming from the washroom and when I lifted my eyes, I saw Jim coming out of the bathroom with only a short on. Seeing him like that made me act quickly as I lifted the covers to see if sky was dressed and to my surprise she wasn’t. She was half naked!
“What did you do to her? ” I jumped rushing to him ready to attack.
“Nothing men! , come down.”
“Don’t you dare tell me to come down! why is she almost naked Jim? I swear if you touched her I will kill you!” I told him pushing him to the wall.
” I just undressed her to make her comfortable Okay?! She was to drunk to move and the reason I don’t have any clothes on is because she puked all over me. Am not a pe.rvert, I was just helping her,” he said looking straight at me.
“I just hope for your own sake that you’re telling me the truth, give me back her clothes and don’t you ever touch her again!” I said furiously as i went back to sit next to sky who was still sleeping peacefully.
I didn’t understand how she could have gotten that drunk so fast! Something is so not right here.
Jim gave me her clothes and I dressed her up. I couldn’t help but notice how beautiful and breath taking her body was. Just touching her made my body heat up like I was on fire.
“Am taking sky home, “I said as i lifted her bridal style and started walking out the room.
“And would you do me a favour and let Serena spend the night here, she’s sleeping in your room, and her brother is too drunk to take her home .”
“Yeah sure, I’ll take care of her. ”
With that I went out the back door and straight to my car. I opened the back door and layed sky down gently on the backseat making sure she was comfortable. There was no way I was taking her to her place like that so I called her dad and told him that she was spending the night at my place.
As soon as i got home, I tucked her in my bed slowly. It had being so long since she had slept over and I really missed it. I just hoped she wouldn’t still be mad at me when she woke up.
