Jay’s pov
After walking sky home. I went back to my room and started day dreaming. I couldn’t help but smile when I remembered how beautiful she looked sleeping in my bed and how I felt when she put her hands against my chest.The feeling was so intense I had to pull away before i did something I’d probably regret.
I spotted something on the bed and realized that sky had left her phone. I took the phone and rushed down stairs to sky’s place. When I got there the door was wide open and Ethan was about to come out of the house.
“Hi Ethan, going somewhere?
“Hi, am not leaving I just came to check who was at the door. Is sky still at your place? He asked looking at little concerned.
“No she’s not. I just walked her home some few minutes ago. ”
“Well she’s not home and I thought i heard some commotion down stairs, but when I came to check no one was here and the door was not locked. Maybe she has gone for a walk but why would she leave the door open? ”
“I don’t think she went anywhere . I mean she was so exhausted all she wanted was to freshen up and lay down, do you think something happened to her? I asked getting worried.
“Am not sure but something is not right here, I’ll call her, ” he said taking out his phone from his side pocket.
“Actually, I have her phone .She left it at my place and I was bringing it back. ”
“Maybe am over thinking too much. Let’s wait a few minutes, ” Ethan said.
“OK, call me when she comes back. ”
“Sure, ” he said as i turned and went back to my house.
When I got home I waited a few minutes and called Serena to find out if sky was with her, but she said she hadn’t seen her since the party. I was really getting agitated and I had a very bad feeling about this.
“Thirty minutes later my door bell rang and I rushed to open almost flying thinking it was Sky but to my disappointment it wasn’t.
“Hi Sam, what’s up. ”
“Hi bro, ” he said as he walked in.
“Can I get you something to drink. ”
“No thanks, I actually came to tell you that we won’t be rehearsing today. I was at Jim’s house but he wasn’t home and when I called him he said that he was on a date. Maybe he got lucky last night, ” he said smirking lightly.
“That’s good I wasn’t in the mood anyway, ” I said sitting down beside him.
“There is something else, I found this at Jim’s house. You must have dropped it while taking sky home last night. I figured it was yours since it had your name and sky’s on it, ” he said showing me sky’s bracelets.
But how could it have gotten there? Did sky go back to Jim’s house or maybe they are together.
‘You found it outside Jim’s house? ” I aked
“Yes, it belongs to you right? Hey are you okay you seem kind of lost ?”
“Am good. It actually belongs to sky, thanks for bringing it back, ” I said taking it from him.
“OK, I have to go. I’ll see you later, ” he said getting up.
“See you. ”
Something wasn’t adding up here. Sky couldn’t have gone back to Jim’s house, she barely knows the place but then how did the bracelet get there? And after what happened last night I trusted Jim even less.
I’ll just wait for Sky to show up am sure she’s okay or I hopped she was.
I went up to my room and lay face up on the bed, my phone in hands waiting for Ethan to call.I had thought of calling Jim to ask if he knew the whereabouts about of sky but changed my mind. I wasn’t sure but something told me he had something to do with this.
An hour and a half, had already passed by, and still no news from sky. I couldn’t take it anymore,i had being pacing in my room for almost an hour filled with worry. I then decided to go to sky’s and just wait with Ethan before I lost my min!
When I got there Ethan was seated out on the porch concern written all over his face.
“No news yet? “I asked
“Not yet. Am really starting to get worried and i dont know whether to tell Dad or not.”
“Where could she be? Do you think something happened to her? Oh God please let her be fine, ” I said praying with all my heart.
“I know we can’t inform the police since it hasn’t been 24hours yet but we have to do something ,I can’t wait anymore, “Ethan said fisting his hands in anger .
“I may have a lead but am not sure. A friend of mine found sky’s bracelets outside Jim’s house. Sky had it before she disappeared she must have gone to Jim’s place at some point,” I told him.
“Is this the same Jim who threw your party last night? ”
“Yes and to be frank with you I really think that he is involved in this, am not sure how but something tells me he is.”
“Why do you think that? Has he ever done anything to hurt sky before? ”
“Not really but I think he dragged her last night at the party and was planning to do something to her, “I said.
“What are you talking about? “Ethan asked almost shouting his eyes wide open .
“Well yesterday at the party Sky disappeared for a while and when I found her she was unconscious in Jim’s guest room half naked and Jim was with her.
As soon as i said that, Ethan got up kicking g the wall fiercely.
“Did he do anything to her?!”
“No he didn’t but I know he was planning to. Am sorry it’s all my fault ,I promised to take care of her but I failed ,” I said.
“What’s done is done Jay. You need to go to Jim’s house and find out what he’s up-to while I wait for her incase she comes back. Call me immediately if you find something suspicious and if that guy has done something to my sister am going to skin him alive!” Ethan said .
“OK, ” I said and went straight to my car.
My heart was beating really fast as I was driving. I was speeding but I didn’t really care all I wanted right now was for sky to be safe and sound.
I just wanted to see her so bad!
l got to Jim’s and parked my car not too far from his house. l went round to the back door and fortunately it was not locked. I went to the guest room and also Jim’s room but there was no sign of her. I looked everywhere but it seemed no one was here.
I was about to leave but suddenly I heard a scream from afar. I wasn’t really sure,and I thought my ears were playing a trick on me until I heard it again. I walked quickly but quietly to the basement where I thought the screams came from. There was a door open in the basement to a room I had never seen before and the more I got closer the louder the screams got.
I called Ethan and told him everything and then rushed to the room ready to attack. My entire body went stiff as a board when I saw the sight in front of me.
I think am about to kill someone!
