Jay called the police on our way to the office and i was surpised when when we found one of the policeman there already. How did he get here so fast?
We gave the principal the letter and she got us the video surveillance of the school hallway. The video showed someone in a hoody over his head wearing all black ,opening my locker and placing the rose and the letter.
The guy is so keen that his face isn’t caught on the video. The video isn’t helpfull much because we can’t even tell what gender the person is. One thing we know about him though is that he knows where all the cameras are because he avoids all of them like a pro! I swear i feel like am in a movie right now.
” Now, this isn’t helping .We will never know who the person is , he’s even wearing gloves so we wont find his finger prints,” i said really frustrated.
“Does anyone else know your locker combination?” The police man asked.
” No ,it’s only me and her,” Jay answered.
” This guy thinks he is clever, but am sure he will mess up, they always do. We’ll have to wait until he tells you where and when you two will meet and we will make our move.
I’ll take the footage with me to the police station and and i will make sure to find something we can use,” The cop said looking from me to Jay.
” If you need anything else from the school you are welcomed to come back anytime,” The principal said to him as he nodded and then left the room.
“We have to go to now sir,” Jay said.
” Okay, and dont worry sky we are with you all the way ,”the principal said smiling at me.
“Thank you ,” i said as we excused ourselves.
” I still think my plan will work,” i said to Jay as we approach we approached the classroom.
” Dont be silly. We will wait for the police to make their move and if they fail we’ ll make ours. Now go to class, i’ll see you soon,” he said as he watched me until i was in the classroom.
Soon school was over and we were heading home. Serena was driving with us and Jay was going to drop her off first. I was sitting at the back and Serena was sitting shot gun since she insisted.
” Am i invited to your concert on Saturday? i mean, i’ ve been waiting, but no invitation yet ,” Serena asked.
” Ofcourse you are ,” Jay said.
” And where are you going to get a new drummer, we all know jim isn’t going to show up, right? I know someone if you need one,” she said.
“We actually have a new one already, but thanks anyway.”
I hadn’t gotten the chance to talk to Serena about what Joy had said but i was planning to soon. What was still on my mind was the letter and the unknown person that kept it there.
When we got home Ethan and Celyn were busy watching a movie.
” Hi ,” i said as i dropped my back pack and sat down next to Ethan.
“Rough day ha?” Ethan said giving me a kiss on the cheek.
” You can say that again!” i said leaning on to him.
“Why dont the four of us go out for dinner? I would love to dine at your Dads restaurant and the best part is that the food will be free ,” celyn said.
” Yes…that would nice but only if you are up to it sky,” Ethan said.
” Of course! i actually miss the restaurant . I haven’t been there in a while, it will be a nice change of scenery,” i said as i got up. ” but i have to take a shower first.”
“l also have to freshen up , i’ll see you in a few minutes,” Jay said and left as i went upstairs.
Jay and i hadn’t talked much about the almost kss, but i guess this wasn’t the right time yet.
We car pooled in jays car and in about 35 minutes we were in the restaurant. I went over and said hi to jackie who was at the counter and Miles who was the main cook . They had worked there for a while and we had a really great relationship.
“It’s about time you showed up! I missed you,” jackie said smiling from ear to ear.
” I missed you too, especially you miles ,” i said hitting him playfully.
” I know you only miss my delicious food and not me, but i’ll take it, ” he said coming over and giving me a quick hug. ” We know about what happened to you. Am so glad you are okay. ”
” Thanks. ”
” Hi people, ” Ethan said.
” Hi Ethan, I dint know you had a girlfriend. ” That was Jackie. She kind of had a crush on Ethan.
” I don’t yet,but am hoping to have one soon, ” Ethan said stealing a quick glance at celyn who was sitting with Jay at the far corner of the restaurant.
” Okay you kids go and join your friends and we will serve you in a few,” Miles said
” KK,” I said as we went over to join our friends.
” I have a feeling I’ve been here before, ” celyn said.
“Not to brag but this is the best restaurant in town so yes, there’s a possibility,” I said.
” Sorry to ruin the mood, but we really need to find out who is helping Jim out. If this guy goes to your school then it will be so much easier for him/ her to hurt you Sky, ” Ethan said
” There’s way I’ll let anyone hurt her in or out of school, ” Jay said.
” I know that,but I can’t help but worry. I mean, all this happened with a police man around and the accomplice still got away. ”
“What policeman? didn’t he get there after you called him? ” I asked confused looking at Jay as our food arrived.
“Dad requested for a policeman to be with you all the time. Am surprised you haven’t noticed him following us on our way here. Anyway, he dint want you to know so you won’t freak out or something. ”
” No wonder he was already in the office when we got there.”
” Yeah, Dad doesn’t want to take any chances.”
” okay. ”
” Wow, this food looks amazing. let’s have dinner am starving! ” Celyn said.
We had dinner with Ethan telling lame jokes trying to impress Celyn. The food was delicious though.
Minutes later we were done and on our way home. Ethan and celyn were the first out of the car when we got there.
“Can I talk to you, ” Jay asked as I was getting out of the car.
” Yeah sure, ” I said nervously. Something told me it was about the kss.
” Serena asked me if I have any feelings for you. Does she know anything about our almost kss,” he asked coming closer.
” Someone is trying to make her believe that we have a secret relationship. I really thinks she believes it. ”
” Isn’t it obvious yet? ” he asked coming even closer our bodies almost touching.
He was looking at me with the same intense look from yesterday and my heart was running a race now. The heat from his body was making me feel strange things, he hadn’t even touched me yet and I was melting like jelly.
” What?” I asked almost whispering.
” That am crazy about you,” he said his thumb ¢aressing my cheeks. “It’s not even a choice for me anymore. I need to touch you, to breathe you in. I need to see you happy even grumpy or angry… I just need you so badly, but I don’t have any expectations. I just want you to know my heart is and will always be yours. ”
His hands cupped my face so that I was exposed and vulnerable to his gaze. He looked at me and his eyes held a lot of emotions searching mine for answers.
I know i was kind of expecting this, but I was still in shock and somewhat confused that I didn’t say anything.
He must have mistook my silence for an answer because his hands fell away from my face, and he took a step away from me.
Without thinking I grabbed his face and planted a kss on his lips.
