“What now? I mean, this is crazy. I just learnt about him yesterday and he’s already out of prison? How many years was he in for?” I asked Ethan going back to the couch.
“He was supposed to be in prison for thirty years. His was charged with aggravated or sometimes known as first degree kidnapping which usualy requires that the accused either physically harm or $xualy a$$ault the victim. The only way he could have gotten out was if he was given time off for good behaviour,” Ethan said.
“That’s not okay! They shouldn’t let people like him out for any reason. He should rot in prison!” i said looking at Ethan who seemed to be kind of lost.” Am sorry, i know he’s your father i shouldn’t have said that.”
“No dont be sorry, i actually feel the same way and he’s only my biological father nothing more.”
“Are you okay though ?” i asked walking over to him and placing my hand on his shoulder.
“You really dont have to worry about me. I will be fine as long as you are.”
“Do we tell Dad or not?” i asked.
“Yes…but after he comes back, he’s already stressed out with work and everything that happened to you already.”
We went back to the couch each of us lost in our own thoughts.
A few minutes later the door bell rang. Ethan went to open and Jay walked in followed by a very beatiful girl. She was very pretty , dark haired and deeply green eyed with a very beatifull smile.
The girl was about my age , tall but not very tall and she was standing really close to jay acting flirty. I instantly felt an extreem painful crazy feeling in my chest seeing them like that.
“Hi ,am celyn,” the girl said stretching out her hand to Ethan who was frozen, what was wrong with him!
He was looking at her like she just fell from the skies, a smile tattoed on his face.
“Hey, Ethan don’t be rude….Say hi ,” Jay said hitting him playfully on his shoulder while he came to sit with me.
” Am sorry about that, am Ethan and thats my sister sky. Please ,come in,” he said .
” Hi sky, it’s nice to finally meet you. I have heard alot of things about you from jay, that i feel like i already know you,” she said bending and giving me a hug.
Oh ,okay….I wasnt really expecting that.
“Hi celyn , its nice to meet you. Am sorry to say, but i haven’t really heard much about you,” i said watching her sit opposite jay and i.
Ethan went and sat beside her still mesmerized by her. Well,…i dint blame him she was really beatifull.
“That is soon to be corrected sky. You’ll know everything about me because am your future best friend ,” she said smiling.
“Dont think i’ll let you steal her away from me,” Jay said pulling me close to him, as i smiled against his chest. It really felt nice and warm.
“Hey, why isn’t anyone fighting over me?”Ethan asked frowning like a baby. “If you want we can be future best friends to celyn,” he said and i couldn’t help but laugh.
Atleast they had changed the mood in the house.
“I would love that to,” Celyn said winking at Ethan.
Did i just see Ethan blush?!
Okay its official , i really like this girl.
“Celyn is going to be staying with us from now on, and i wanted you guys to meet her. Our mums went to school together and were best friends and that how we knew each other. She can be very crazy sometimes, but i know you’ll love her ,” Jay said playing with my hair.
I was still lying on his chest and i wasn’t in any hurry of moving from there. Now that i was sure that celyn wasn’t going to steal him away from me, i was relaxed.
“Wait what am i saying? he is not even mine to begin with!
“Of course they’ll love me, by the way Jay told me you are best friends with Serena.”
“Yes we are. Do you know her?”
“Yes i do ,i actually schooled with her and chris before i moved. I don’t really understand how you two can be friends , you are really different you know.”
“I know but maybe been different is what brings us closer, she’s really nice.”
” Yes , but she also has a very crazy side. She actually poured water all over a students books in third grade for flirting with her boyfriend , i mean who even has a boyfriend at 10?! She even threatened to pour acid on Joy’s face next time she tried to steal her boyfriend. She was very fierce!”
“Wait ! Joy?” so that’s what happened between them,” i said connecting the dots.
” I guess Joy never learnt her lesson because she did the same thing recently. I guess she’s not afraid of acid…” Jay said shaking his head and chuckles.
“Serena is surely crazy ,but not a bad person.Am sure Joy deserved it… she’s really rude and is always finding ways to hurt Serena,” i said.
“Yes , i remember she was always jealous of Serena,but enough of those two . Jay has something to tell you Sky, right? She said looking at Jay who was starting to act all nervous.
“Right ,” he said giving celyn a “what the hell look.” Can we go talk in your room? ”
“Sure… we’ll be back,” i said standing up as he followed suit.
“You can take all the time you want,” Ethan said moving closer to celyn a stupid grin on his face.
” So celyn , Do you know what my shirt is made of? ” Ethan asked before we left.
“No what?”
“Boyfriend material,” he said winking at her and ,we all laughed for a couple of minutes.
“Okay ,that was super cheesy, but atleast you made her laugh,” Jay said taking my hand, as i fell into step with him and we headed up stairs.
When we entered my room Jay went to stand by the window. He was quite and seemed to be quite nervous. I couldn’t help, but stare at him.
He was in all back today from head to toe, and he just looked so perfect!
He stared at me for a moment and sat on the bed gesturing me to join him. I already looked like a nervous wreck and my heart was now beating very fast as i went and sat beside him. Been alone with him was proving to be very difficult nowadays.
” Whats wrong with you? You look nervous and you are making me nervous too.” i said.
“Ive been wanting to tell you something for a while now. I just dont know how or where to start.”
He stopped and looked at me for a few seconds taking in a deep breath.
“Is it about Chris?” i asked.
“No… it’s not about him am just…
” Am really sorry about that,” i say cutting in on him.”I know you think am wrong and you dont like him, but I swear i dint want to hurt you.”
I took his hand in mine intertwining our fingers.
“You’ve done nothing wrong sky, just let me talk for a minute ,” he said his chest rising as he breaths.
Just as he was about to say something my phone rang.
“Excuse me for a second,” i said as i picked it up.
A new number flashed on the screen. I picked the call and pressed the phone onto my ears.
“Hello .”
No one answered for a few seconds and then i heard a voice that had been hunting me even in my dreams and i froze!
“Hello sky, did you miss me? I cant wait to have you in my arms again you sweet thing,” Jim said and then laughed like a mad man.
I started to panick and i swear i could hear my heart beating so loud. I was too shaken to talk or move.
“Who is it? ” Jay asked grabbing the phone from my hands.
“Why dont you pick on someone your own size Jim? Coward much?” Jay said in a mocking voice.
I don’t know what he said fom the other end, but Jay got very angry smashing his fist against the wall.
“The next time you think of calling her ,I’ll make sure to find you and skin you alive !” Jay said hanging up.
“Are you okay,your hand is….
“Am okay ,dont worry i wont let him hurt you again, ” he said opening up his arms for me and i walked right in to his embrace which always made me feel safe.
