Daria got to her seat and relieved a deep breath, she was just too stunned to speak back there.
Oliver had just called her beautiful, though she was a bit disappointed because she had wanted to hear it from Finn, that’s why she had spent extra time dressing and forgetting breakfast.
She resumed her work with her one rubbing her tummy.
“Gosh! I’m so hungry.”, She muttered and yawned.
Oliver spent some time with Finn before he left but before leaving, he collected Daria’s number.

Daria went for her break, she finally filled her hungry stomach.
She wondered if Finn was also hungry because from what she heard, he doesn’t eat often. Sometimes he just forgets that he hasn’t eaten.
She didn’t know if he was going to take her food or not but she still bought food for him.
“I just thought that you’d be hungry.”, She said as she dropped the food on the table.
“Thanks.”, He said and she smiled.
“Daria!!”, He called and she looked back.
“About Oliver— don’t feel pressured, I already told him to take things slow, he is just being excited.”, He said and she looked at him somewhat disappointed.
“What if I like someone else? Won’t it affect your friendship?”, She asked and he raised his brows.
“Do you like someone already?”, He asked but she just kept mute.
“I’m just saying cos I don’t want any friendship ruined.”, She replied.
“How exactly would our friendship be ruined because you don’t like him?”
“I mean — he can stop coming here and he can just …. I don’t know.”, She said.
“Oliver is a nice person, you can give him a chance and after that, you can decide on your decision.”, He said and she frowned.
“Why does he keep talking about only Oliver?”, She thought.
“Then what about you Mr Finn?”, she thought angrily.
“Huh!”, He said and then she realized that she had said it out.
“What about me? What’s that all about?”, He asked.
“Finn!!!”, Andy called as she entered his office.
“Who are you to finn? And what are you doing in his office alone?”, She asked facing Daria.
“Oh no! Does this mean that me Finn has a girlfriend? No wonder I don’t seem to get his attention.”, Daria said.
“Andy!”, He called in a calm voice and Daria assumed that she was the girlfriend.
“We have talked about this, haven’t we? So what are you doing here?”, He asked and she broke into tears immediately.
“Finn I missed you so much, I really can’t do it. I love you so much and I will do anything to have you stay with me.”, She said and Finn went to meet her.
One thing told Daria to leave them and another told her to stay to know where she stands.
“Andy I know this would be hard for you but you are making this harder, you should help yourself.”, He said and immediately Andy just clashed her lips on his.
Daria’s heart skipped one beat as her eyes widened in shock. She couldn’t believe what she was seeing.
She just had to leave before she breaks down.
She finally found the door and she walked towards it.
“Andy what’s this?”, He asked as he pushed her away.
“I just wanted to kss you one more time.”, She said.
“Get a grip Andy.”, He said as he wiped his lips.

Max returned from school and went to the office.
Max glared at Daria from Finn’s office and she did the same.
Since the door is transparent, it was very easy for them to see each other.
“You must be very hungry, should we go and ear outside or would you prefer this cafeteria’s food?”, Finn asked and max just shrugged.
“Since tomorrow is a Saturday, we should go out or what do you think?”, Finn asked and max still said nothing.
“What do you want max?”, He said frustrated.
“I want mom!”, He replied.
“Why don’t you let me meet mom? I miss her so much, I’m sure she wouldn’t be treating me this shitty.”, He said as tears gathered in his eyes and Finn looked at him in disbelief.
“So I am the bad guy here, I know how much you miss your mom but don’t you also see the effort I am putting in for you. Just think of me as your mom and dad.”, He said.
“Your mom …. left us, we just have each other.”, He said with a broken voice.
Remembering the past brought so much pain back thar Finn’s heart ache so much. He has tried everything he could to forget everything to have peace of mind but somehow max always reminds him by asking for his mom.
Finn left the office to calm himself, he went to get food, maybe food will distract him.
Daria couldn’t watch as max cried, yes … She doesn’t like children but seeing children cry? … That is a total red card.
She took her face away countless times not to worry about him but it was not bad tho to show an act of kindness even if the kid won’t accept it.
She brought out her phone to search what how to confront a kid.
Then she decided to try.
“What do you want?”, He asked as he wiped his tears.
“You can hug me if you want, I will give you only a chance.”, She said as she opened her arms and Max just stared at her.
“I understand that it’s hard for it, It’s okay to be upset. I’m right here next to you, I will be here till you become calm.”, She said the words she had learnt earlier.
“This won’t work.”, She said seeing Max’s blank expression.
“I guess I didn’t say the right word.”, She muttered.
Just as she was about leaving, max just hugged her and tears started falling freely.
“You miss your mom right? Well I miss my parents too, so let’s start crying together.”, Daria said and they both cried.
