Episode 15.
When Loveth saw Lilian she started crying and praying at the same time. Mr Ade was confused. His beloved daughter was lying there lifeless. She was looking so thin. He didnt know when water dropped from his eyes. He raised up his head.
Mr Ade: Oh God! What have I done? Why is this happening to my baby girl? The doctors does not even know what is happening to her. Oh God please have mercy and heal my child for me please. Dont allow anything happen to Lilian.
Mrs Ade rushed into the room swearing profusely.
Mrs Ade: where is my baby? Where is she?
She saw Lilian lying on the bed lifeless. With tears in her eyes she started shaking the little girl. But there was no movement.
Loveth: Mummy please calm down, the doctor said she will be fine. Please stop shaking her.
Mrs Loveth: what doctor? Those stupid doctors what do they know? They know nothing jare!
Mr Ade: Honey please calm do…..
Mr Ade could barely finish her statement before his wife snapped at him.
Mrs Ade: Dont touch me, dont honey me? You are a failure and a disappointment. See the dead hospital you brought my child to. Simply because you cannot afford a good hospital.
Lilian:mummy please stop talking to daddy like that, he is trying his best and blaming him at this point is not helping matters at all.
Mrs Ade: shut up. What do you know. Just shut up there.
Mr Ade: Honey calm down, Lilian will be fine.
Mrs Ade: That’s what I’ve been hearing for the past three months. See ehn, if anything happens to my girl, I will hold you responsible, I will not forgive you, let me just tell you.
Loveth: Nothing will happen to Lilian.
Just then John ran into the hospital room breathing and panting heavily.
Loveth: John what is wrong? Why are you breathing like that?
Mr Ade: What is wrong son?
John: Daddy, mummy Success got hit by a car.
All: what?
John: we were on our way to this place and this car just came from no where and swept Success.
Mr Ade: Jesus! Jesus! Jesus! What is this?
Mrs Ade: oh my God, (she starts crying and wailing)
Loveth: so where is Success now?
John: I dont know.
Mr Ade: what do you mean by you don’t know?
John: I dont know, the man came down from the car and carried Success inside and drove off.
Mrs Ade fell on the ground as she continued crying. The doctor had to instruct the nurses to take her out of the room to avoid disturbing the patient.
Mr Ade and John went out to the venue of the accident to see if they can trace the car that carried Success. They asked and asked but nobody seemed to know the man or the car. Finally they left to report the incident at the police station.
Mr Ade returned to the hospital and met his wife and Loveth sleeping. He sat close to them with John sitting by them. It wasn’t long before a nurse walked in.
Nurse: who is Loveth?
Mr Ade woke up Loveth who was sleeping on her moms laps.
Loveth: Nurse I am Loveth. What is it?
Nurse: your sister wants to speak to you.
Mrs Ade quickly jumped up from her sleep.
Mrs Ade: Nurse I am her mother, please I want to see her too and talk with her.
Nurse: Am sorry ma but we can only allow one person to see her at a time and since she woke up she has been calling ”YOVETH! YOVETH!”
Mr Ade: its alright ma. Let Loveth go and see her. After that we can go in one at a time to see her.
Loveth followed the nurse and together they went into the room. Loveth saw Lilian looking so weak. Lilian managed to smile when she saw Loveth.
Loveth: Hey baby, am glad to see that you are awake. How are you feeling?
Lilian: (manages to talk) Rita Yoveth, the man gave me yizard to eat. I yefuze to eat it, but he beat me and force the yizard inside my mouth. When daddy tried to fight him, he tie daddy down, he tie mummy down and he yock them up inside a prison.
Loveth was confused.
Loveth: Baby what man is that?
Lilian: That man in the pishure. Everyday he wee come and flog mummy and daddy. He pursue tita Success away. He drive her from the house and injure her. Even bwoda John. He make bwoda John to be drinking plenty drink and brother John drink the drink and started dancing in the road and eating dirty. The man told me that he wee drive you from the house, that you are disturbing him and he will send you away.
Loveth listened attentively , she understood that what Lilian was saying was a revelation from God and so she didnt want to miss anything from it.
Loveth: Baby tell me what na happened to this man?
Lilian: The white man now came and the white man carried me from the bad man in the pishure.
Loveth: What white man?
Lilian: The white mab that you brought. The white man is the one that carry me from the man. He said I should follow him so I will follow him.
Loveth: Follow him to where baby?
Lilian: Rita Yoveth, call the white man, its only the white man that can beat the wicked man. Call the white man. Call him.
Lilian started gasping for breath again. Loveth became scared as she called out to her mom and dad and the doctor.
They all came rushing in. Loveth was weeping so strong. After few minutes, the doctor dropped the bombshell.
Doctor: Am sorry mr and Mrs Ade, she is gone.
