THE X-FAMILY SEASON 2 : EPISODE 1 – 20

Episode 20

After Mica returned with the meal, she ate to her satisfaction due to how hungry she had been and after that, she went deep to sleep.

She didn’t know for how long she slept before Mica had woken her up.

“Hey, Octavia. Octavia” she called and tapped her repeatedly.

Octavia groaned as she forced her eyes open. Dmn it! She was really having the rest she desired.

“What is it, Mica?”

“It’s Khalid. He wants you in his room” Mica replied and the usual heartbeats in Octavia resumed.
Whaaaat?

“Wh…Why?” She stuttered, despite the fact it was dumb.

“How will I know that, Octavia? Come on, you need to hurry up”.

Octavia quickly left the bed and found something else to wear beneath his shirt.

But why was he calling for her? Gosh! She felt so nervous.

Maybe, he finally wanted to give her a piece of mind on the baby. Maybe..to tell her to leave the clan or something else

Goodness! She never thought she could be this anxious in her entire life – never..

She walked out of the room and met the guard who had been assigned to call her at the doorstep. And without delay, she followed him to the Master’s room.

She wished their steps would be slackened so they could take longer time to get there, but unfortunately for her, nothing could be delayed.

They got to Khalid’s door and when the guard knocked on it, he responded as usual – Let her in”.

The guard pushed the door open and awaited Octavia to walk in and she did.

Her hands were in front of her, clasped together so they don’t visibly shake; and she met Khalid in the room, arranging some things in the wardrobe.

“G…Good evening, Master” she almost stuttered.

“Take a seat” his voice came almost immediately and Octavia dragged her legs to the bed to sit.

At least, she didn’t have to stand because she was damn tired

Khalid continued doing whatever it was he doing in the wardrobe and the boredom was actually making Octavia feel dizzy.

She snapped her eyes open when she heard his footsteps and saw him walking away from the wardrobe to the table.

“I’ve made my decision, Octavia” he began and Octavia felt her legs growing so cold.
Oh God! This is it!

“Since your life is in danger at the moment, I wouldn’t want to name an attempt in harming the baby. So, you’ll be allowed to carry the child and…put to bed. And after that, we’ll know the next step to take”

Octavia gulped nervously.

Oh God! She was really going to carry the child; carry Khalid’s child?

“You’ll be limited from carrying strenuous task and… I’ll make sure you get all the support you need” he continued, queing to Octavia’s anxiety.
“What do think?” He added.

She looked up at him but quickly brought her gaze back to the floor when he was staring directly at her.
Did he just ask what she thinks?
