Romina and Elias are currently standing in front of the mansion, none of them was saying a word.
“What is it you wanted to talk about?” Romina finally asked and he gulped nothing down.
“I made my true feelings known to Iris,” he started but she didn’t say a word in response.
“I know you are against us calling off our engagement and you told the twins to be nice to her so things would work out for us, but the truth is I don’t love Iris and nothing is going to make our relationship work,” he paused and took a deep breath.
“I and Iris will eventually break up and I am going to court you before that happens, it is time we act like adults,” he concluded.
“That was all I wanted to say,” he added when she was not moving or saying a word. “Mom,” she said.
“What about her?” He asked. “I will make my decision once my mom is fine, only then we will be together freely. I don’t want to be the bîtch who betrayed her friend and dates her mother’s doctor,” she replied and he found himself smiling.
“Did that sound funny?” Romina asked. “No, I just realize why I fell in love with you again,” he responded and she blushed.
“You should go inside,” Romina said and tried to turn around but he held her arm. “Is there something else you want to say?” She Inquired.
“You didn’t have breakfast,” he said. “Don’t worry about that, I will grab something to eat at the office,” she replied
“Homemade food is the best, you should head back inside and have breakfast or I will go in there and inform nanny Gloria about my feelings,” he threatened
“I want to see you try,” she replied stubbornly and he smirked, he walked towards the mansion proudly, his hand was on the doorknob when Romina stopped him.
“Have you successfully lost your mind? Telling them is going to be a su!cide!” Romina whispered.
“Su!cide for who? You or me?” He asked and she stylishly scratch her head. “Me, so kindly step back and come back inside a few minutes later,” she said.
“Why should I?” He inquired confusedly. “Just do that!” She almost snapped and he stepped away from the door.
She walked in and went back to the chair she was sitting on, Nanny Gloria was no longer there same with Zoey.
Romina knew they were gossiping again, Zoey might be a robot but she does not act like one.
Romina picked up her spoon and started devouring the food, Elias walked in two minutes later and he went straight upstairs.
Romina was half through with her food when the door opened and Neil walked in, Romina turned around to look at him and her expression saddened immediately.
“Are you jobless?” Romina asked turning back to eat her food. “Will you hire me at your company?” He questioned back.
“No, I guess you are jobless,” she concluded. “How was your night, dear sister?” He asked sarcastically and sat on the chair beside her.
“Fine until you walked in,” she responded. “Why do I always ruin your mood when you brighten mine?” He wondered
“Because we are two different people, I bring good luck and you bring bad luck,” Romina replied.
“How is that? Bad luck has been the only diety accompanying you since we met,” he said scratching his eyebrows.
“You brought it,” she replied simply and he stood up, he walked towards the living room and stood in front of the family picture.
Romina gritted her teeth angrily and stood up, she followed him and stood close to him.
“Stop feeling sad when you see this, you are not one of us and you know,” she mocked.
“These days I am curious and I have been asking the bigger question, ‘Is she missing or she is hiding her’?” He asked
“Who are you talking about?” She asked trying to act cool though she knew who and what he was talking about
He turned to face her and replied. “Your mom.”
“I don’t understand,” she muttered as she cvrsed the fake man Neil brought to be her dad, he must have figured something out that was why Neil is suspecting her.
“Is your mother missing Romina or you are just fooling everyone?” He asked.
“Why would you think I am lying and what is it to you if I lied?” She questioned back
“You just can’t make a f®ol out of people and act as if it’s nothing, you are not allowed to lie to me!” He yelled.
“Who do you think you are to demand the truth from me?” She asked.
Romina scoffed and took slow steps closer to him. “Neil Young, you are a bstard who has no place here,” she mocked.
“Maybe right, but have you ever thought about what this bstard can do Romina?” He asked and walked around the room.
“What do you mean?” She asked and traced him with her eyes.
“You are hiding lots of secrets because you are scared of what will happen if I find out,” he said and she gritted her teeth.
“You think highly of yourself, you think I will be scared of you?” She asked with a scoff.
“I don’t give a dmn about what you know!” She snapped. “You should,” he said and turned around.
“You should fear me, your father accepted me as his son and possibly willed everything to me, why do you think he did that?” Neil asked and turned to face her.
“Because he saw the m®nster in you,” she replied. “And you should fear that m®nster,” he stated.
“FYI, m®nsters fear me not the other way round,” she said and walked to the sofa, she sat on it and crossed her leg.
“You should stop whatever it is you are scheming while I give you the chance,” she said and he scoffed, he raised his head and sighted Elias.
‘Iris fiancee?’ He thought with a frown, he felt like ripping him apart, he blamed Elias for what happened between him and Iris.
“Why do you have a doctor in your house? Is there a sick person in here?” Neil asked.
“Why do you ask? Wanna be the patient?” Romina asked.
“I am serious Romina, who the heck are you hiding?!” He growled.
“I owe you no explanation about what happens in my house, I can hide a dead body for all you care,” she replied and Elias stopped when he was close enough.
“I will leave first,” Elias said and left the room. “And I will follow him,” Neil added and wanted to follow but Romina stopped him.
“Get out of my way!” He growled. “Get rid of me,” she dared him.
“Ohhh, patience sister, patience, I will do that at the right time and when I do you will regret going against me,” he replied with a smirk and pushed her away.
“That annoying bstard!” Romina screamed and Zoey walked towards her.
“He knows something Romina,” Zoey informed her referring to Neil. “It won’t be valid cause mom will be fine soon,” she replied with a smile.
While outside Elias was about to get into his car when Neil held his shoulder, he was nervous as he turned around. Judging from the stories she heard from Romina, Neil is not the type you wanna befriend.
Adding to it, he is the bastard who had sex with his fiancee, maybe he should practice calling her ex-fiancee since they will be breaking up soon.
“Pardon my manner,” he apologized with a smile which Elias found weird.
“I’m Neil Zaragoza, Romina’s half-brother,” he introduced himself.
“Doctor Del Vera,” he replied. “I know,” Neil replied and he furrowed his brows.
‘Iris must have mentioned me,’ Elias thought, and Neil smirked.
“What is your business with my sister?” Neil asked. “You should ask her since she is your sister,” Elias replied.
‘Smart guy, no wonder Iris is head over heels for him,’ he thought.
“My sister and I aren’t on good terms so there is a possibility she isn’t telling me a thing,” Neil replied.
“It is confidential so I’m not saying a word either,” Elias replied. Neil scoffed and opened his mouth to say something but no words came out, he dipped his hand into his pocket with a sigh.
“She always gets the loyal ones,” he mumbled and walked away.

It has been a while since Elias stood in the operating room, he was standing with other surgeons and nurses in the Operating Room.
It’s D-Day, he breathed out nervously as he stared at her unconscious body.
“We will commence the surgery,” he announced. “Doctor you have a call,” a nurse informed him.
He walked towards the phone and the nurse placed it on his ear.
“Elias, please save my mom,” Romina pleaded, and judging from her voice she was nervous and on the verge of crying.
