Michael’s POV
{An Hour Later}
.
Our plane landed at the airport and I took the girl inside the car and drove off.
My mind was preoccupied and troubled after learning the same man I’ve been looking for is the one behind the attack.
I’m finding it hard to figure out who this man is and the reason he’s doing all of these.
” Are you okay?” I asked the girl and she nodded affirmative.
” Who are those men after you?” I asked.
” I don’t know” she answered.
” Why are they after you?”
” What did they want?” I asked again.
” I don’t know……I know why they are after me……I don’t know anything” she replied.
” Cmon, you have to know something” I pressed.
” Look, whoever you are…. I’m grateful for coming to my rescue but you have to stop asking me these questions”
” I’ve told you I don’t know anything…. please just stop already” she said angrily.
” I just witnessed my bodyguard draw his last breath before me couple of hours ago and right now I’m terrified” she added.
” Fine, I’m sorry” I apologise then focus on the driving.
This is a change in puzzle because Peruzad never go for just one person especially not this naive girl.
He’s up to something and I’m having a bad feeling about this and it worries me that I don’t even have an idea of what or who I’m up against.

Few minutes later I arrived at the agency and handed the girl over to her parents.
” Good Job, agent hawk” the chief complemented.
” Thanks sir, excuse me Sir”
” What is it?” The chief asked as he noticed my countenance.
” I know who is after her” I said.
” Really?, Who?” He asked.
” It’s Peruzad Sir”
” What!, Peruzad?……I almost believe he’s not real…..this just prove that he is” he said.
” Do you know who he is?” He asked.
” I don’t sir, I’ve got no lead, I’ve got no clue, I’ve got nothing….. nothing” I replied.
” How do we find someone we don’t have any clue who he is or what he looks like?” He asked.
” I don’t know Sir and it freaks me out” I said.
” Calm yourself, I’ll widen my search and send out more words….. whoever he is, he will be caught” he assured.
” Thanks Sir” I replied then went to my office.

Few hours later after a clueless and fruitless search about Peruzad I left the agency and went to my friends.
I arrived at the Lab and met my friends discussing and they stopped when they saw my moody face.
” Hi guys” I muttered as I entered.
” Mikey, what’s going on?”
” Why is you face like this?” Lara asked concernedly.
” What’s going on man?….. talk to us” Tony asked.
” it’s Peruzad” I muttered.
” Peruzad again?……who the hell is this guy?” Derrick said.
” My mind is trouble, he’s up to something….He’s looking for something”
” I’m having very bad feeling that something very bad is about to happen and I’m completely in the dark” I said frustratedly.
” How do you find something like that?…..you should know something about this guy” Tony said.
” That’s it, I don’t know anything……all his men don’t know who he is either it what he looks like” he said.
” How is that even possible?…..is he a ghost?” Lara said.
” He’s not a ghost but whoever he is, he’s very rich and powerful and he know what he’s doing” I said.
” I’m guessing he knows about me, he’s someone close” I added.
” Tell us what you need Mike, we will do everything we can to get this ba$tard” Tony said.
” Thanks guys”

{Two weeks Later}
.
It’s been two weeks of several dead end on my course of finding Peruzad and it’s so disturbing.
After my encounter with his men two weeks ago there hasn’t been any updates on him.
‘ why is he waiting?’
‘ why has he not show himself?’
‘ why is he not doing anything?’
‘ why is he silent?’
These are questions roaming my mind and his silence is disturbing then a knock came on the door.
” Come in” I said then Pete entered.
” Hey Mike, Boss want you in his office” he informed.
” Is everything alright?” I asked.
” The Senate president is back, he’s in the building” he said then I stood up immediately.
” What’s it again this time?” I said putting on my jacket and head out of my office.
I went to the chief’s office and knocked and was invited in.
I entered but the look on the senator’s face assured me there’s no qualms.
” Good morning senator” I greeted.
” Morning agent, I’m grateful for what you did for my family” he said.
” I’m just doing my job Sir” I replied and he smiled.
” Actually concerning that…..I need you to work for me as my daughter’s bodyguard” he said and I looked at the chief who said nothing.
” I’m sorry sir but I’m not a private agent….I don’t do private bodyguard” I replied.
” I know but my daughter is studying in London and she has exams this coming week”
” I can’t let her go alone and I can’t put her in care of an amateur considering what happened two weeks ago” he said.
” I can’t sir, I’m sorry I just can’t” I said.
” How about we do it this way, the exam is two weeks and you’ll protect her for that two weeks” the chief suggested.
” Okay sir” I replied.
” Thank you, I guess you should start packing, the place will take off tomorrow” he informed.
” Yes sir…..umm senator”
” Yes”
” Why are those men after your daughter?” I asked.
” That’s a question even I am looking an answer for” he replied.
” Do you have anything in your possession Which could make them do something like this?” I asked again.
” Agent Rolland” the chief cautioned.
” It’s okay chief…… he’s just curious that it” the senator said.
” I’m sorry sir” I apologized.
” I don’t know why they are after my daughter and I don’t have anything which could make them come after me or my family”
” The only thing I could think of is they want to abduct her and probably ask for a ransom” he added.
” Thank you sir” I replied the went out.

{Next Day}
.
I got dressed and gathered my things and left for the airport, I’ve been told to meet with them over there.
I don’t do a private security for someone but because this has something to do with Peruzad I had to accept.
This issue with Peruzad is becoming more serious than I expected and it really freaks me out that I’m clueless.
How do you fight someone who happens to be invisible?, For all I know he could be anywhere.

Some minutes later I arrived at the airport and meet with the Senate and his daughter who seem unhappy.
” Good Morning senator” I greeted as I went to them.
” Good morning agent, I hope you’re ready?” He asked.
” Absolutely Sir” I replied.
” Please, don’t let her out of your sight” he said.
” I won’t sir, she’s perfectly safe with me” I replied.
” Thank you” he replied then hugged his daughter one more time and we went to the plane.
We entered plane and sat down and the plane took off.
” Hi Lolita”
” You don’t seem happy…..is something troubling your mind?” I asked.
” Please Agent, Can we just have a quiet flight to our destination?”
” I don’t feel like talking right now” she replied which I’ll defined as rude.
” I see you’re in bad mood, what’s the matter?” I asked.
” How is that any of your business?……why can’t you just shut up” she said angrily.
” Wow, Nice…..I see you’re taking your anger out on me……I like that” I replied.
” But I hope you can recall that I saved your life few weeks ago” I added.
” You know, it’s because of people like you I’m in this mess in the first place” she replied probably heading somewhere then I decided to press on.
” People like me?…..do you care to elaborate?” I asked.
” You wanna know why these people are after me?….huh?” She asked staring at me.
” That’s right” I replied with interest to hear what she has to say.
” It’s because of you people, you and my father caused it……all these happened when my father decided that I need a bodyguard” she said.
” So you think they are after you because you have a bodyguard?” I asked.
” Of course, it all started when I was assigned to one, they are after me because people started noticing me”
” I was Just a normal student before but now people can’t even get closer to me even my friends can’t walk with me” she said.
” Those people probably thought I’m important since they saw me with bodyguard” she added then I realized her reason have nothing in connection to Peruzad.
” Well that isn’t the talk you should be having with me……it Should be with your parents, you shouldn’t take your anger out on me” I replied.
” I have every reason to because you could just talk to them that I don’t need bodyguard” she said.
” That’s funny, because I remember clearly two weeks ago you are hiding inside an abandoned bus”
” You were so scared, crying and shaking like a wounded fish before I had to come save your arrogant a$s” I replied grinning evilly.
” Fk you” she said angrily and started laughing.
” You think I enjoy babysitting an arrogant spoilt brat, I don’t baby sit but I had to do it for a kid” I said.
” I’ll make your life miserable, I’ll make it your he.ll…..it will be the worst two weeks of your life” she threatened.
” No you won’t, because over there I’m the senior and I’ll be calling the shot and you’ll do exactly what I say”
” You and me are going to have so much fun together” I added.
” What makes you think I’ll do anything you say?” She asked.
” I hope you do to make all these more easier for both of us because whether you like it or not……”
” For the next two weeks you’re stuck with me so behave yourself”
