CHAPTER 12

A FEW HOURS LATER.

Claire woke up only to not find anyone on the bed with her.

“Liam…” She called, getting down and walking to the bathroom, only to not find him there.

Becoming alarmed, she went out of the room, but then her foot hit something. She looked down and saw Tim lying unconscious on the floor. His head was bI..eeding.

“Oh no!” She groaned, walking away from him to the kitchen. But as she approached it, she started hearing some sounds which she presumed to be mo..ans.

She stepped closer to the storage room and peeped through, only to see them having fun.

Her anger rose instantly as she stared at them. She left the place without being noticed and walked back.

A hand grabbed her leg as she was heading to her room. Looking down, she saw Tim, half-conscious and groaning.

She bent down and lifted his jaw.

“Help me, boss,” he muttered, and she nodded.

Picking up a broken bottle from the floor, she thrvst it into his h..eart, and he let out a sharp gasp.

Claire continued $t…abbing him even after he had stopped breathing.

His bI..ood splattered all over her face and hand. Sighing, she dropped the bottle and went to her room.

LATER.

Kim $traddled Jay while he was still inside. Her arms were around his neck, and his were on her waist. Their soft m..oans mingled as she moved slowly.

Her eyes met his, and their tongues danced in their mouths. Eventually, they stopped moving, both exhaling deeply as they broke the kss.

Kim pulled him close, and Jay buried his face in her neck. They stayed like that in silence for at least a minute before Kim spoke up.

“Do you feel a little better now?”

Jay gently retracted his head, and his eyes met hers.

“I do… thank you, Kimberly.”

Kim smiled.

“What are friends for?” She slowly got up and stood.

Jay watched her with a $illy smirk.

“What’s with that look?”

“You know I never got to tell you this that day.”

“What day?”

“You know… ‘let me pull your dress down… kss you from the ne_”

“Oh, please stop,” she cut him off, and he chuckled.

“You’re so beautiful, Kim.” He gave her a genuine smile.

Kim smiled back, grabbing her pants and tank top, and throwing them on. She also grabbed Jay’s clothes and tossed them at him.

“Jay… I think it’s time now,” she said seriously.

“For what?” Jay asked, putting on his clothes.

“Let’s get out of this place. Somehow, I’ve got a feeling that if we don’t now… it’ll be too late later.”

“I can’t leave,” his voice came out, and Kim frowned.

“What? Why?”

“Kim, listen… you have to get out of here first, ASAP.”

“What about you?”

“I just can’t leave now.”

“I can’t leave without you… you know that!”

Jay moved closer to her and held her shoulders.

“I just can’t leave her like this… someone has to stop her.”

“That’s the job of the cops to do.”

“No… no… the cops already failed at that… remember?”

“Jay…”

“Listen, Kim… if I don’t do this now, then she’s never going to stop.”

“So you’re going to keep letting her use you? You’ll keep satisfying her ridiculous pleasures?

You’ll throw away your life and happiness just to suffer for her delusions! What are you saying, Jayden!” She pushed his chest away angrily.

“I’m the only one who can do this,” he said, pained.

“But why you? Why?”

“Because!… because I’m the only one with the power to… I will make her listen to me and bring her out of that delusional world she is in right now. I’ll try to talk to her.”

“What if she doesn’t listen?”

“She has to… because I hate to admit this, but… I’m her son… mothers listen to their sons, don’t they?”

“Oh, Jay…” Kim hugged him.

“I don’t want to lose you,” she muttered on his shoulder, and he hugged her back.

“Promise me you’ll stay safe… for me, your safety and happiness matter more than anything else.”

“I can’t be happy without you, Jay.” She shook her head, tears rolling down her cheeks.

“Trust me…you’ll do just fine, Kim, and I’ll always be there with you. It would be boring to have no one tease you, wouldn’t it?”

“I’m not going anywhere without you. Either we leave together or we die together here.”

“Kim—”

“Respect my decision, Jay… I mean it,” she said determinedly while Jay just sighed.
