CAFETERIA.

“Oh my…she looks happy,” Jay remarked, observing Kim and Diego engrossed in conversation and laughter.

“Exactly,” Jade agreed, also eyeing Onda who was with them.

“It seems like she’s doing fine after what she did to me,” Jay remarked again.

“That’s exactly my point,” Jade chimed in.

“She appears to be doing well, while I’m here feeling miserable.”

“I know, right?”

“We’re just not talking, but why does it feel like I’ve been dumped?”

“Beats me.”

“She should stop laughing already…it’s getting on my nerves.”

“I completely understand.”

“I can’t just sit and watch all this,” Jayden dropped his fork and stood up.

“Hey…what are you going to do?” Jade asked.

“Just watch,” he replied, heading towards Kim, who pretended not to notice him.

“Attention, everyone!” Jay shouted, capturing their attention.

“Yeah, it’s nothing serious. I just want to draw your attention to something,” he glanced back at Kim, who raised an eyebrow at him. He grabbed her hand and pulled her up.

“Hey, what are you doing?” she whispered, but he ignored her.

“This upcoming Friday is my best friend’s birthday, and I’m using this opportunity to invite all of you to the celebration. You shouldn’t miss it because it’s going to be fantastic,” he announced.

“Hey! Are you crazy?” Kim gritted her teeth.

“It’s your birthday this weekend?” Diego asked, clearly surprised, while Kim faced him.

“Yeah…apparently,” she replied plainly.

Jay turned her towards him and held both her shoulders.

“Happy birthday in advance, Kimberly,” he smiled, placing a kiss on her forehead and staying in that position for a few moments. When he pulled away, he looked at her with a bright smile, while she gave him nothing but angry glares.

“Follow me,” she seethed, grabbing his hand and pulling him out of the cafeteria.

CLASS.

Jayden reached into his pocket, pulled out a lollipop, unwrapped it, and put it in his mouth.

“What the h’ll did you just do out there? You’re literally seeking danger!” Kim scolded as soon as she dragged him into the classroom.

Jay removed the lollipop he was licking and shrugged.

“What did I do? I simply invited them all to your birthday party.”

“I told you I’m not holding a party for that.”

“But I already informed everyone…you have no choice now.”

“She will come.”

“That was the plan.”

“What?”

“Kim, this is our only chance to find out who’s behind all those threats.”

“The elders have to know about this, or I’m not going through with it,” she said sternly.

“Don’t worry, I’m going to inform them. This party is just a ruse to flush her out.”

“Do you really think this will work?”

“It’s a trap, designed to finally catch that dmn stalker. Of course, she’ll fall for it,” he smirked.

Kim sighed. “So… please don’t think of ignoring or avoiding me anymore. It’s quite annoying,” he declared, playfully sticking the lollipop into her mouth.

Kim gasped abruptly, and he winked at her before leaving with a satisfied smile on his lips.

“That… that foolish person…” Kim removed the lollipop from her mouth and sighed.
