CHAPTER 57
At an unknown location…
Jay groaned as he opened his eyes, finding himself in a well-furnished room.
“Where am I?” he mumbled, getting out of bed. He heard voices and cautiously opened the door.
“Miss Ina?” His eyes widened in shock as he saw her chatting happily with a man, smoking and drinks on the table.
“Oh, my darling love, you’re finally awake,” Claire said, walking towards him. She attempted to hug him, but he stepped back.
“What’s…what’s going on here? Why are you Miss Ina…?” he asked, confused, while Claire smiled.
“Wait…you…you are the stalker?”
Claire burst into laughter, looking at the other man who joined in.
“Oh, come on, darling…come,” she said, reaching for his hand, but he pushed her away.
“Where is Kimberly? Where did you keep her?!!”
“That woman…she is where she deserves to be,” Claire said, blowing smoke in his face, while he grimaced.
“Come on, darling…I’ve caught you smoking several times; don’t act like it’s new to you,” Claire rolled her eyes.
“Why are you doing this? What do you want from me?”
“Liam, listen. I just want us to go back to how we were before…before that woman came into the picture.”
“What nonsense are you saying? And also, I’m Jayden, not Li_ wait! Liam? That’s…that’s my father’s name.”
“Take a good look at me, Liam…don’t I look more beautiful now? I changed because of you…I changed everything, so…you should accept me…no…you must accept me now,” she said, crawling her hands towards his chest.
“What?”
“Don’t you recognize me? It’s me…Claire.”
“Claire?”
“Yeah…Claire…your childhood friend and lover,” she leaned closer to him.
“I really missed you, Liam…now I’m back for you…to take what’s rightfully mine. Let’s start our family here…I promise we’ll be happy…what do you think?” she whispered flirtatiously, bringing her lips closer to his.
But before she could connect them, Jay, who seemed dazed, pushed her away forcefully.
“Cla…Claire? That’s…that’s impossible. You’re d.ead.”
“That’s what you all think.”
“How…?”
“That woman, Annabelle…she thought she had gotten rid of me, but…she failed. Here I am, back for you,” she started laughing.
“And to make her pay for what she did to us, I will never let her get away!” She exclaimed with an evil laugh.
“No…no, this can’t be…it can’t be…” Jayden held his head, utterly shocked and confused.
“Listen, you just have to do as I say from now on. Don’t worry, we’ll deal with her together.”
“Ahh…ahh!” Kim’s voice echoed as Tim dragged her from her room to the living room.
“Let go!” Tim pushed her roughly, and she fell to the ground, hurting her knee.
“Kim?” Jay called out as soon as he saw her. Kim raised her head and gasped upon seeing Jay.
“Jayden…” She tried to stand up, but Tim pushed her back down with his leg.
“Ahh!” She groaned in pain.
Jay couldn’t control his rising anger as he saw the state she was in.
She looked horribly terrible.
His fists clenched. He wanted to go to her, but Claire held his hand back. She smiled at him while he reluctantly faced Claire.
“Don’t worry, love… I’ll deal with her myself.” Claire gave him a peck on the lips, while Kim, who was watching, furrowed her brow.
“Just watch,” Claire winked before walking towards Kim.
“Miss Ina…ah!” She winced as she slapped her. Claire grabbed hold of her hair and dragged her to the table, htting her head on it twice.
Jay’s fists clenched even tighter, and he looked away.
Blood ran down Kim’s nose as she started breathing heavily.
Smiling evilly, Claire picked up a bottle of drink from the table. She raised it to hit Kim’s head, but Jay grabbed her hand before she could. Claire looked back at him, annoyed.
“What are you doing? Let go! Has that witch bewitched you again? Are you supporting her?” Claire fired at him, while Jay took the bottle from her.
He took a quick glance at Kim, who was struggling on the floor, and gritted his teeth.
“I’LL KIL…” Claire didn’t finish her statement when Jay grabbed her and pressed his lips against hers.
Kim gasped, while Claire smiled into the kss. She wrapped her arms around his neck, kssing him roughly with her eyes closed.
Jay kept his eyes open, looking at Kim, who met his gaze from the floor.
Claire pulled away from the kss and grinned, holding his face.
“I missed this so much!” She pvshed him, and he landed on the sofa. Swiftly, she $traddled him and kssed him passionately.
Kim couldn’t bear to watch and looked away.
Still devouring his lips, Claire’s hand moved towards his top, but Jay stopped her.
