Pempem’s friend came to pick us to our new home. Momma said smiling

Mum please tell Joan to be fast,am running late for the interview and I need to drop her off at school. Jeffery exclaimed
Joan what’s taking you so long, Jeffery is waiting for you downstairs. I said
Am done momma. Joan shouted as she ran downstairs.
Joan why do yon always have to take so much time getting ready for school.. Am running late for my interview already. Jeffrey complained
Am so sorry Jeff. Joan said smiling and hugged him.
Bye mum. They both chorused and peeked my cheeks.
Joan when you’re coming back from school,tell pempem the flour for making cookies are finished. I said and they left.
Pamela I came to collect the cookies for today’s supply and I have good news for you. One of my supplier said with excitement.
Good news? What good news? I asked curiously
The manager of magnificent company invited you to his company as a supplier of delicious meals and cookies. She said
Oh my goodness! Do you actually mean that huge company across the trainway station? I asked curiously
Yes… Exactly that’s the company am talking about and he said you should begin your supply tomorrow. She said smiling
Oh my! Thank you so much for this great news. I said excitedly grinning from ear to ear.

Jeff I wish you best of luck in your interview. I said smiling and he peeked me.
Your wishes will always go with me and you need to read harder so you can pass your upcoming exams. Always know that I love you kid sis. He said and waved me good bye.
Joan. I heard from behind and I knew it was Patricia.
Patricia is my best friend and bff.
Patricia how are you? I asked as we walked to our class.
Am fine Joan. Last night I had difficulties with my assignment. Patricia complained
I also think the assignment was a tough one. I said and the both of us laughed.
After classes Patricia and I went to our lunch table to read when Lawrence and his friends came in.

Lawrence doesn’t like Joan or maybe he does because he actually loves bullying Joan and mock her in school.. when Jeffrey was in senior high here, Lawrence doesn’t care go anywhere close to Joan because Jeff always protects her but now that Jeff have graduated. Joanna has to be strong for my sake,it hurts me to see her been treated that way.
Joan I think I like this textbook of yours. Lawrence said and those stupid friends of his couldn’t stop their mockery laugh. That textbook Jeff got it for Joan with his first salary.
Joan was about taking the textbook when Lawrence snatched it from the table and they left.
Joan what would you study with for the upcoming exams and what will happen if Jeffrey finds out. I said worriedly
I have no idea. Joan said in tears.
Take mine instead.. you shouldn’t get scolded after this. I suggested handing my textbook to her.
No Patricia… You need the textbook more than I do. You aren’t too good at the subject so you need it more than I do. Joan said defiantly but still sobbing.
Joan my dad can afford another one for me so have it instead. I said
No… Patricia your dad needs to pay for your little sister Susan’s hospital bills. Joan said
Joan! I said giving up on convincing her.
Don’t worry Patricia,I can manage… I will create up time to go to the library to read,am sure I can meet up before the upcoming exams. Joan said softly with her teary eyes.

On my way back home. I was on foot because I was saving up some money for Joan’s school uniform.. she needs a new one. I was in a hurry so I would get home on time and tell mum the good news and head back to my part-time job else the boss would deduct it from my paycheck.
A car passed by In a hurry and splashed me dirty water and the careless driver didn’t bother to come apologize.. before I could raise my head up after staring at the splashed dirty water on my clothes,this beautiful damsel came out of the care and ran to me.
She’s so classy and she looks rich.. no she’s actually rich. I thought smiling in my head.
Am so sorry.. she apologized as she wiped away the dirt from my shirt with her handkerchief.
Your apology really doesn’t matter now, you’ve ruined my outfit already and what were you thinking, driving so fast don’t you know it’s dangerous. I said seriously
Am sorry,I was only racing with my friend. She said softly
It’s okay… I wouldn’t say you’re not at fault here so your apology is accepted. I said
Come on Jeff,you sound rude.. am actually the most Noble personel so far. I muttered in my mind and continued walking.
