Am fine dad.i replied
I’m sorry Aaron,our trip has been postponed, we’re no longer coming to Manila this year but I have an idea. Why don’t you join us here in the states? He asked
No dad,I don’t wanna go to the states. I love it here in Manila. I said defiantly.
Okay son, if that’s what makes you happy fine. Your mum wanna speak with you. He said
Hello Aaron my love,how are you? Mum asked softly
Mum am good and you? I asked with a smile
Sweetie am fine,am missing you so much. Don’t you think joining us in the states is a good idea. Mum suggested
Mum I don’t feel like going to the state. You know I always fall sick when I change an environment and trust me mum am not ready to fall sick right now. I said
I understand sweetie but don’t worry we will try to cover up our schedule to get back before the year runs out. Mum said

Jeffrey don’t you think travelling to the states was a great idea. I miss all my friends over there. I said.
But you don’t want to leave because of that roadside girl. He said
There’s no way am leaving Manila without looking for her. I said smiling

Pempem I never knew you get such plenty customers just for a day. I said yawning
Not really,I always get such plenty customers anytime you come around because your beauty attracts them. Pempem said smiling

Oh pempem,am so tired . I don’t think am visiting Jeff anymore. I will wait till he gets back home. I said

The next day I went looking for her at the spot I met her the other day but no sign of her so I went back home but the next day I decided to go to her school when I got there no sign of her so I walked into the school with great struggle but suddenly the security allowed me after knowing am Mr Delma’s only son.
Now this is the situation where I would say been rich is good. I walked around the school for awhile and I noticed her from afar then I walked to her.
Hello. I said softly and she turned to my direction.
Hi… Oh Aaron.. you were the guy who saved me the other day right? She asked smiling
Well yes.. how are you? I asked smiling
Am fine and thank you for the other day. She said smiling
It’s nothing.. is she your friend? I asked referring to the girl next to her as she couldn’t stop staring at me.
Yes,her name’s Patricia.. Patricia meet Aaron the guy I told you about. She said
Ok… Nice to meet you Patricia but you didn’t tell me your own name. I said

Joan he’s so cute. I whispered in Joan’s ear.
Patricia. She said smiling
Don’t mind her she’s always been naughty. Joan said and Aaron chuckled
Hope those guys never harassed you again? He asked
They wouldn’t dare. Lawrence now avoids me,I think it’s for the best. Joan said

It’s okay so now can I know your name? He asked
Sorry about that… My name’s Joan. She couldn’t finish her sentence when I interrupted remaining I was sent by the principal.
Joan the principal wants us in her office I almost forgot. I chipped in.
Sorry Aaron but I have to go now. It’s nice meeting you. Joan said
Does that mean we’re friends? He asked
Yeah… Bye bye. She said smiling and we left.

I was cleaning up the cafe when Aaron rushed in then I dropped what I was doing.

I saw her today. Aaron said smiling
Hope you had a chance to speak with her? I asked
Yeah,she even introduced her friend to me. Don’t you think that’s a good sign,she agreed to be friends with me. Although we didn’t chat for long because their presence was needed at the principal’s office. Aaron said
Okay but you got to know her name right? I asked
Yeah,she said her name’s… Aaron got interrupted by James one of the employees.
Jeffrey we need your assistance please. James said
Okay, Aaron I will right back. I said and left.

It’s three months am friends with Joan and she just graduated from high school. I plan on celebrating her graduation in a big way. I want her to feel loved and cared for.
Jeff I wanna celebrate Ann’s graduation in a big way. Do you think that’s a good idea? I asked Jeff who was busy with his phone
Yeah, I think you should use the opportunity to tell her how much you love her. He suggested
Don’t you think she would reject me? I asked
Of course not, as long as your love for her is true she won’t reject you and how sure are you she also doesn’t have feelings for you. Jeff chipped in.
She has never given me a reason to think that way. I said
Maybe she doesn’t wanna take the initiative. He said
Hmm… Maybe am the dense one here. I said lost in thought.

Patricia and I are in my room.
Joan I think you tell Aaron how you feel already. Patricia suggested.
Patricia am scared okay. Am scared of getting rejected. I said looking away.
What! Come on, Aaron may come from a wealthy family but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t want something good. Joan you’re every guy’s dream. No guy dares reject. She said boldly.
Getting rejected would be so embarrassing you see so I won’t take the initiative. I said smiling
Aaron is really so dense. She said sarcastically and my phone started ringing.
Hello Ann. Aaron said over the phone and my heartbeat began to race.
Aaron how are you? I asked
Am fine Ann. I would you send you an address you should be there in two hours time. He said
Why’s that Aaron? Did something happen? I asked curiously and he chuckled
It’s a secret. You have to be on time ok. He said and hung up.
Tricia did you hear that? I asked confused.
Trust me you’re going no where without me. She said smiling

In two hours time Joan and Patricia arrived at my place.
When they got in,I went behind them and blindfolded Joan.
Patricia was about to scream but I signalled her it was a surprise and she smiled. We drove to the place the party was holding.
My friends have arrived too and Jeff was there already.
Surprise.! We all shouted as I unblindfold her,she flung her mouth open.
It’s beautiful Aaron. She gasped out in surprise as a big smile appeared on her face.
Ann meet my best friend Jeffrey. Jeffrey meet Ann. I introduced but they flung their mouth open.
Joan. Jeffrey called out staring her her.
Jeff. Ann called out as well.
Do you know each other? I asked curiously.
He’s my brother Jeffrey. Joan said in surprise.
