When he said his name is Jeffrey,the name sounded familiar and I had a flashback on where we met.
Are you Jeffrey from the bus stop fifteen years ago? I asked curiously
Huh! Oh oh oh… Stranger. He recalled with great struggle.
Yeah,you have grown into a handsome and tall looking guy me. I complimented with a smile
And you too.. you look beautiful although I’ve forgotten what you looked like when we were little. Too bad my memory didn’t store that moment properly. He said smiling
It’s okay… I think am the weird one here, remembering an incident of fifteen years ago anyways thanks for your compliment. I said blushing
Emily I would have loved to know you more but I have to go now. He said
I will drop you off. I offered.
No Emily… You don’t have to worry about me.. I can take care of it. He said nervously
Jeffrey I insist. I said
Okay fine but am going home Right now and head to my workplace after that, hope that wouldn’t be asking for too much. He chipped in quickly.

Joan I think I would be coming with you.. I have an appointment with pempem,he promised to make my hair. Patricia said
Patricia,no.. you need to go home and prepare lunch for Susan. I said
Why do you always have to give me reasons not to help you… Patricia said with a grown.
I know you care about me and you’re worried because you know am scare of going home alone because of Lawrence and his friends but Susan is sick and she needs to have her lunch in time so her drugs would take fast effect. I said
Oh Joanna you’re so caring… Not minding your situation you still care for my sister… I think you should be selfish sometimes. Patricia said with a smile as she hugged me.
Get going. I said smiling and she left.
I was walking besides the road heading home,.. I actually had some money on me for a cab but I decided to walk to save money for other things..
I heard some people chatting and laughing,I thought they were students just like me not knowing it was Lawrence and his friends..

Joanna. I called but she ignored me and walked faster.
Joanna don’t you want your textbook anymore? I asked and she turned around immediately.
Joanna is this your textbook? I asked sarcastically as I brought it out from my school bag.
Yes. She replied quickly without realizing she spoke to me.
Guys she talked to me at last… Joanna I never knew it will take you this long to talk to me. I said smiling
Just give me back my textbook. She said
Relax. I said smiling and walked to her, touched her hair and she snatched her textbook from my hand and pushed me away from her.

I was on my way to the cafe when I saw this beautiful girl been harassed by the road side.
The guy grabbed her arm tight,I can feel she’s hurting so I stopped my car and came down.
Let her go. I said and removed his hand from hers.
Who the he.ll are you to interfere? The guy asked coming closer to me as he hit my shoulder and I gave him a clean punch across the face and he was about retaliating when I gave him another punch on his stomach and he fell on the ground,he stood up and adjusted his cloth properly.
So you found yourself a rich boyfriend. You will pay for betraying me. The guy said with jealousy written in his sentence.
What rubbish are you uttering? Who betrayed you j.erk! The girl cursed in a serious look and they left..
she’s so cute..
Thank you so much for saving me from them. She uttered out softly then her eyes became teary.
Who are those guys? They look like they attend same high school as you.. I said staring at them as they walked far away.
They’re my classmates and they’re kinda known for their bullying. She said with a fake smile
How about you report them to your principal or your classroom teacher? I asked
That’s not a good idea.. nobody dares. She said trying to avoid the idea.
Okay… Anyways am Aaron Delma and you? I asked smiling and she stared at her wristwatch.
Am sorry but I have to go now,I have plans at home. Bye Aaron,nice meeting you. She said running before I could realise it she disappeared.
Aaron what was that,you couldn’t offer her drive… That was strange,she didn’t even tell me her name. I thought and entered my car and zoomed off.

Mum. I shouted from downstairs and she came downstairs.
Jeffrey you’re back? She asked and I peeked her on her cheeks.
Yes mum and I’ve good news. I said but I noticed mum was staring at Emily.
Mum meet my friend Emily and Emily meet my mum. I said smiling
Emily that’s a very beautiful name. Mum said
Thank you ma and nice meeting you. Emily said softly.
Emily feel at home we know our home is Abit small but you should feel free. Mum said
Thank you ma. Emily said
You can call me Pamela… I think that’s more preferable. Mum said smiling
Okay Pamela. Emily said smiling
Fine.. Jeff you said you have good news? Mum asked
Yes mum.. I got the scholarship to go to scholarship. I shouted smiling
Oh Jeff am so happy for you. Mum said as she peeked me on my forehead and hugged me.
Congrats Jeffrey. Emily said smiling
Mum I need to get going now before that I should change my clothes. I said and ran upstairs and changed. I came down, peeked mum a good bye and left with Emily..
