CHAPTER 37
It’s been two weeks, two weeks since the anniversary, two weeks since she had last seen jimi or heard from him, several times he had dropped messages to apologize but she hadn’t bother to reply.
He may be trying to reach her on phone but he was avoiding her physically.
As days passed Diana realized she was more angry at herself than Jimi. This wild goose chase was doomed from the beginning.
What was she thinking, that somehow she would be able to capture Jimi Benson’s heart and manipulate him
It didn’t even take too long before the table turn on her, he humiliated her and regarded her as nothing
His calls weren’t as frequent anymore, maybe he got tired of trying and she’s still feeling bad about the whole situation
He hasn’t been staying next door either, it almost like he vanished. Philip said he called once to say he wasn’t coming home that night and since then he hasn’t heard anything from him.
Not that she was expecting anything she reminded herself, getting involve with jimi had been a risk from the onset, a stupid trick she played on herself. It could have been messer than this but it isn’t… So she’ll survive. It better it ends here than exploding into million shattered broken heart pieces
For whatever it worth, she hasn’t even achieved her aim for being with him in the first place but she was glad she didn’t try too hard or draw attention to herself or her daughter
Now she’s going to live her life, the way she wants everything else is unimportant. Today is such a special day and she won’t let anyone ruin it
“Mommy….. Is uncle Jim jam coming”
Diana turned to her daughter, why on earth did Abby decide to talk about Jimi today, over the last few weeks she had asked about him and Diana had to tell her that he traveled and now just after thinking about him thinking she can finally close the chapter on that nitwit.
Abby is now asking for him…
Is jimi Benson really going to be a part of their lives forever…. That’s scares the sht out of her
“No baby … he’s not coming”
“But mommy you said he’s coming”
“When did I say so” she glared at Abby
“That time”
“Which time”
“The time that… That we were outside with Brady, you said don’t worry abby Uncle Jim jam will be visiting soon”
“I dont remember telling you that, Besides soon can be anytime abby. It doesn’t necessarily have to be today”
“Oh God” Abby stamps her foot on the ground in a dramatic way and Diana couldn’t believe her own daughter
“But mommy when is he coming, he promise he’ll take me to Disney land and to see queen Elizabeth”
“Don’t worry sweetie mommy will take you to all the amazing places in the world. You don’t need Uncle Jim jam to take you there . I can do all of that and much more”
“You!.. ” Abby scoffs finding that hard to believe
“You that you will say that you have forgeot. You never remember thinks like this ”
Abby mutters folding her arms
“No I won’t forget this one sweetie. I promise”
“Did you fight with uncle Jim jam. Is that why he hasn’t been coming here?”
Diana’s eyes rolled to the back of her head
“Ehn!!!” She had to check to see if she was still having a conversation with her six years old daughter
“My friend always tells me that whenever her daddy and mommy fights her daddy doesn’t come home for days”
“Which of your friend told you that”
“Angela.”
“Angela told you that, well don’t mind Angela she’s only joking… Or she misunderstood the situation. Her dad may have something important to do like a business meeting or something. she’s definitely mixing it up
And the situation with Me and uncle Jim jam is very different.
For one uncle Jim jam and I are not married we are only good friends.
So he doesn’t live in our house he has a life of his own he can chose to go anywhere at anytime. He is an adult and I can’t be monitoring his movement. So baby don’t get it twisted we did not fight.. Like I said he traveled”
Diana wasn’t sure if she was trying to convince abby or herself
“But you don’t even know when he’s gonna be back”
“Oh goodness Abby. Are you the adult here or me. I just told you something and you keep arguing with me
Stop trying to be a smarty pants and go get ready”
“Where are we going to” abby shrugs
“How many times am I going to tell you”
“I think I forgot”
“Oh really! But you remember everything your friend tells you about her parents.” Diana sighs and place her hands on her waist
“Abby baby we are going to visit the less privileged and spend time with them”
“Oh you mean the people that don’t have eyes”
“No we don’t call them that. They are special kids that’s aren’t very lucky but we not going to see those ones, today we will be visiting another kind of special kids. I mean the children that don’t have mommies and daddies, they are not so lucky so they put them in a place where they can be taken care of and nurtured and we are going to pay them a visit and give them gifts”
“Ohh”
“Yes baby… Ohh!”
“Can I play with them”
“Of course princess you can play with them, you can even make new friends”
“YaY… But why are we taking my caprisol and biscuits”
“Like I said We’re going to give these to those special children””
“No.. No.. No I dont want to. Buy them a gift mommy don’t give them my stuff”
“What stuff. Did you buy them with your own money”
“No but they are mine now”
“No honey , I bought these for them Besides baby you know I told you that they don’t have anybody to support them and cater for them like you and your friends. its always good to share remember how we gave out some of your clothes to the church that’s what we are trying to do here”
“Will you buy me another one”
“Of course sweetie, I’ll buy you plenty.. Now let’s go or we’ll be late cmon grab my purse”
