Episode 16.
The next day Anastasia woke up very early and went out taking the morning breeze.
She kept looking at her phone and held it close to her chest as she paced around.
“Hey what’s wrong with you? Have you checked the time? Mpho asked behind her.
“Why are you here? I thought you were sleeping? She asked.
“I saw you going outside and I wondered why, he replied and went in before she could say something.
“Aren’t you going to work today? Dite asked when she didn’t see her dressing up.
“Today seems to be my free day, so am gonna use it to cook, Anastasia replied.
“Is that so? That means I can go make my hair today then, Dite happily said.
“Hey I will be going out okay so don’t think I’ll be at home all day, do you understand? Anastasia said and Dite scoffed.
“What’s the difference of you not going to work anyway? Oh please, Dite said and walked away.
“You can do that during the weekend but not today okay! Bye angels! Anastasia shouted as Dite left with the kids to drop them off at school.
Anastasia phone began to ring and it was Regina calling,
“I feel like rejecting this call like you always do, Anastasia said when she picked up.
“Talking like I care, am about leaving for Venda, just make sure the conservation will worth the stress, Regina said and dropped the call immediately and Anastasia smiled licking her lips.
“it’ll worth the stress indeed, She said to her self and called up the guys.
“Hi good morning, she greeted.
“Speak, a deep voice responded.
“Okay but replying a greeting won’t be bad anyway. Regina is on her way here, Anastasia replied.
“Will you be going to see her? Her crush voice came on phone.
“Ermmm no, I was thinking when she arrives I will delay a bit and you guys will welcome her instead, what do you think? Anastasia asked and the guys smiled.
“Anything you say. We will be on our way then, just call us when she gets home, her crush said and the line went dead.
“That woman is cunning, One of the guys said.
“What do you expect from women? They are always cunning, Anastasia crush replied.
“Maybe thats why the serpent went to Eve first, another said.
“Hey you’ve been reading that Bible stories book again, Another said and they laughed.
“Guys let’s hurry up, we got work to do, Anastasia crush said.
“But this is a very easy job, 2 or 3 of us can easily get this done with no stress, its not like its a man we are going for, Someone spoke up.
“Yea I thought the same thing too, after all we are not killing her, someone concurred.
“Alright, so who is coming with me? Anastasia crush asked……………..
Regina arrived home and settled a bit, then left to the kitchen and her boyfriend surprisedly entered,
“Hello darling, he said startling her behind.
“G0sh you scared me, didn’t I lock the door? Regina asked.
“Well you didn’t, I have no supernatural powers you know to appear in here without passing through the door, He said holding her w@ist.
“Alright don’t mind me, I was preparing something little to eat because I just arrived, Regina said.
“You didn’t tell me you’ll be coming today, I just passed by and knew you’ll be at home, he said.
“Sorry about that, I actually came here for something and I’ll be going back soon, she replied.
“Okay we will see later, am rushing to somewhere now, maybe we can still see before you leave, I’ll be back soon so don’t go, He said.
“Sure I’ll see to that. Bye, Regina said and he kissed her and left.
She took her phone and called Anastasia and noticed the background noisy.
“Hey where are you? Regina asked.
“In the market, I came to get some food stuffs, are you back? Anastasia asked.
“Yea, just hurry up and don’t waste my time, Regina replied and dropped the call and Anastasia in turn called up the guys.
“She’s home, she said when they picked up.
“Just in time then, A voice replied and dropped the call.
Regina done eating was busy fiddling her laptop in her room when she heard a footstep along the corridor.
“He’s back, Regina said and opened the door but a hand covered her mouth pushing her in..
“Who are you? She asked when they released her but they were on mask.
“Where you expecting someone else? One of them asked bringing out a rod and her eyes bulged out.
“What do you want just mention it please don’t hurt me I beg you, she said going back but the other held her tightening a cloth on her mouth, tied her hand and pushed her on the bed.
In anger she kicked one of them in his balls as she struggled, and he bent down holding it in pains.
“Okay you look tough, what about this? The other said and used the rod heavily on her legs continuously making sure it gets broken as she tried screaming out but her voice couldn’t be heard loud.
The one kicked in the balls whispered into the other ear for a while and he nodded.
He dropped the rod with the one kicked and left the room while Regina rolled on the b.ed weakly in p@ins.
Minutes later He returned with a jug of hot water and Regina eyes bulged out as she struggled to sit up but the pains on her leg couldn’t let her.
She whimpered shaking her head in tears as the jug was coming nearer,
“Am sorry, but we need to do this, now drink, The one who hit her with the rod said, while the one hit in his balls held her strong to loose the cloth but they got scared she will scream out.
They got a call immediately from Anastasia crush who was waiting outside not too close to the house,
“Hurry up, I think someone is coming that way, he said.
“We can’t make her drink this without her screaming, they whispered back to him..
“Then do something and hurry up let’s get out of here, He said and dropped the call.
They pretended like they wanted leaving, Regina didn’t expect it but they poured the water on her, threw the jug away and left the house.
They met Anastasia crush in the car and they drove off immediately taking the mask off,
“What did you guys succeed to do? He asked.
“We broke her legs and threw the hot water on her. Though her friend wanted her to be dumb but that can only happen if we took her away from here, One of them replied.
“But at least you did something, will she suspect her friend did that? Anastasia crush asked.
“We never mentioned anybody name or spoke much, they replied and he nodded calling Anastasia.
“Yes, she picked up anxious.
“We are done, he replied.
“She isn’t dead right? She asked.
“You didn’t asked her to die and again, she won’t be dumb. That aspect was difficult knowing you didn’t tell us to take her away from the house, and if that was what you wanted, it will cost you a lot, He said.
“I wanted her voice to be gone, what then did you do? Anastasia whispered.
“We took her legs at least, it was nice doing business with you anyway, bye, he said and dropped the call.
“Sht! Anastasia angrily said breathing hard.
Regina boyfriend was the one Anastasia crush saw, but he stopped and sat down somewhere making a call.
When he was done, he left to Regina house and saw the door opened, he shook his head going in and heard a dying noise in the room.
He opened the door and met Regina in a state he couldn’t believe his eyes,
“What….. What happened here? Regina! He shouted and hurriedly untied her mouth and hands but her eyes were closing.
“Don’t you dare die on me I’ll go call for help alright, I’ll be back! He shouted and hurried out of the room…….
