Episode 27.
Mpho phone began to ring and it was James calling,
“Excuse me please, Mpho said to Yvonne before picking the call.
“Hey Man, he picked up.
“We have left the hospital, we just got home, James replied.
“Really? And I was thinking of coming over, Mpho replied.
“No no, your wife actually came before we left. Thank you so much, James said.
“Alright its nothing, found an agent yet for the house? Mpho asked.
“Yea I did, James replied.
“Thats good then, we’ll see tomorrow right? Mpho asked.
“Okay if you can, thanks man, James replied.
“Alright we will talk later then, Bye, Mpho said and dropped the call.
“Thats my friend, Mpho said to Yvonne and she nodded.
“So tell me about yourself, she said.
“Myself? There’s nothing much to say than ermmm… Am married with 5 children all girls, Mpho said and Yvonne eyes bulged out.
“Seriously? Not even a boy? She asked.
“Thats the sad story there, but what can I do? Mpho asked and checked his wristwatch.
“Nothing absolutely, about to go? She asked.
“Yea, he replied.
“Alright, thanks for your time. It was nice talking to you, she said.
“We will meet again right? Mpho asked.
“Am surprise to hear that, she said.
“Wasn’t expecting I’ll ask you that? He asked.
“Of course, you were avoiding me at first, she replied.
“So what are you saying? Mpho asked.
“Just call me when you need me, She replied..
“Then I’ll need your number, what do you think? He asked and she smiled getting the phone from him………………
Mpho got home humming happily as Anastasia looked at him surprised with his mood,
“Brother any news? Dite asked..
“I can’t remember when I turned to a news caster, when was that? He asked.
“Okay you’re not, but is there something you need to tell us? Dite asked.
“Nothing ma, thank you, Mpho replied.
“Okay, but I need money. Remember the money you promised me, Dite said with a frown and Mpho smiled.
“I am not your boyfriend, he replied.
“Ehhh, but you’re my brother. Please nauuuuuuuuu! Dite said shaking him and he burst out laughing.
“Please ma can you let me enter the room first? I have no cash with me Now, Mpho said and Dite left him while he shook his head and went in..
Anastasia just looked at the drama less concerned and concentrated braiding Grace hair without saying a word to him……….
The next day Regina and James left the country, and Anastasia heaved in peace as she felt so relieved.
She happily left for work and Julia met her in the room.,
“I think I have misplaced the slip Regina dropped her address, Julia said.
“Misplaced? But it was in your bag, I mean you put it in your bag after she gave it to you, Anastasia asked.
“Thats right but is not there anymore, I’ve emptied the bag but I cant find it, Julia replied.
“Ouch that’s bad, and she has taken off already, Anastasia replied.
“You don’t have her number? Julia asked.
“Even if I haven’t traveled abroad, but at least I know that every country has their code. Can she use the same number here over there? Anastasia asked.
“G0sh, I have to go check carefully then, am sure I kept it there am very sure about that. I’ll be back, Julia said and left while Anastasia smiled.
“Dubai Dubai Dubai, go visit her then let me see, she said and hissed taking care of her daughter…………….
Its 2 months gone, Everything is moving so smoothly and Mpho escapades with Yvonne continued.
A call came on Mpho phone and he was in a meeting, after the meeting he called back Yvonne,
“Hi baby, I was in a meeting when you called. How are you? He asked.
“Can I see you now? Its important, she said.
“Are you okay? He asked.
“You’ll find out when you come, she said and dropped the call.
Mpho hurriedly left and met her up,
“What’s the problem? She asked but she gave him an envelope instead.
He slowly took it out and saw a pregn@ncy test result,
“You’re pregn@nt? For who? Mpho asked.
“Excuse me? What do you mean by for who? She asked.
“Wait wait wait, just stop it if this is a joke. Whatever we have been having, I made sure we were protected, then why this? He asked.
“Well for your information, the night we had together the first time, you were not protected, so? She asked and Mpho shook his head and threw the envelope.
“Am i to accept this now? I have 5 children already, what are you going to give to me now? Jesus Christ? Mpho shouted.
“You have 5 children yes, but all girls. What if this is a boy! She shouted back.
“Look this is not going to happen, this cant work. Besides how am i sure this baby is mine! He said and Yvonne smirked looking at him.
“So what are you trying to say? That am putting another man child on you or have been sleeping around? Wait, are you trying to say I should abort this baby? Yvonne asked.
“Yvonne please you need to do this, the last thing that I’ll ever want is a female child again, I don’t want it, Mpho said.
“What if its a male Mpho? Do you know you’re hurting me with your words? I was expecting to see a little smile on your face even if you didn’t expect it, but this is what I can get! She shouted and Mpho held her.
“This isn’t the first time i am hearing a pregnancy news, am sorry if i didn’t get excited, am sorry, he said.
“Swallow it and tell me what I will do about this baby, she said pushing him away.
“Right now I can’t say anything, I have to think about this carefully, Mpho said and left immediately while Yvonne looked at him……
Mpho drove to his friend place and shared it with him,
“This is very technical Mpho, the child might be yours. Okay you’ve always been using protection, but what about the first night? His friend asked.
“The child is mine or is not mine is not the case here, I am not interested in it and thats it, Mpho said.
“Scared of having a 6th female? His friend asked.
“You have no idea of how disastrous that will make me, I’ll be so broken for life. i don’t want this, he replied.
“But you’ve not given the baby a chance, besides you can make a scan to know the baby sx, His friend said and Mpho laughed.
“That cr@p? That sht my wife did and I was told its a boy but it turned out to be a girl, I am not trusting it again, Mpho replied.
“Do you think she will love to abort too? His friend asked.
“Looking at her, I think she won’t buy the idea with me, but she need to understand this with me, Moho said and his friend shook his head.
“You’re better than this you know. I won’t tell you to trust her too much, but I’ll advise you to keep that baby, when she delivers do a DNA test and if the child is really yours, take responsibility, his friend said and Mpho angrily looked at him.
“Do you realize i have a wife? He asked.
“it didn’t stop you from having an affair outside right? Then what’s the problem? His friend asked and Mpho gulped down his last drink.
“You Know what, thank you but I won’t follow your shit idea, am out, Mpho said getting up.
“Well i hands up, do whatever you feel is right but make sure you don’t regret, his friend said and Mpho left.
For about a week Mpho didn’t call Yvonne neither did she call.
Preparing for work Mpho got a text from her,
“I guess you’ve made your decision and it’s clear to me. What ever you think i am, taking the life growing in me will be last thing i will ever do. I’ll be leaving but I’ll make sure I’ll tell my baby who his/her father really is. Good bye” Mpho read and held his head.
He took his keys and left the room immediately,
“Brother aren’t you eating? Dite asked.
“No, Mpho replied and drove out to Yvonne place……………
