Episode sixty seven
I do as am told and call the hospital. And anyways, it’s not like I have a choice.
” Good! ” Now it’s time for you to call Vee, ” Lisa says but i hesitate.
” You know we are basically playing nice right now ,” Stacy says as the two men help her up. “I could kill vee right now if we wanted to just by a snap of my finger, but we are giving you a chance to save her. Would you rather be without her or have her dead Alex! You know that she’s pregnant.. Don’t be so heartless Alex. ”
” What happened to me?! ” George says slowly getting up, his hand on the back of his head.” My head hurts like he..ll! ”
” Merghan hit you on the head with a bat, but the good news is that you are going to live, ” Stacy says.
” Alex! What are you doing here? ” he asks his eyes wide open looking at me and then looks at Stacy. ” So.. You went ahead with your plans? ”
” Yap! ” That’s Merghan.
” Am sorry Alex.. I tried to warn you but you didn’t pick up your phone. I swear am not in this with them!” George says.
” I know.”
” Look Alex…” George says nervously.” Am really sorry for everything. I know i acted like a jerk , and I should have accepted the fact that Vee fell in love with you and not me.”
” It’s okay George.. Am glad you are finally back to your senses. ”
” Awww…. So touchy!”Stacy says sarcastically. “I’d like to get back to business please, If you are both done with this stupid reunion.”
“Don’t do anything they ask you to Alex, Vee is going to be fine, ” George says.
“No she won’t George, Call her Alex! ”
” Don’t!”
“What is your problem! And why are you so confident George? Are you hiding something from us? ” Stacy asks looking at him curiously.
” I guess we’ll just have to find out. ”
“Tell me what is it you are hiding or I swear am going to shoot you, ” Stacy say grabbing a gun from one of her men and points it at him.
This girl has completely lost it?
” Kill me if you want but am saying nothing! ”
” Okay.. Your wish is my command, ” she says cocking the g un.
” Stop Stacy…., this was not part of the plan, ” Merghan says getting in the way.
” He betrayed us! ”
” We don’t know that yet! For all we know he might just be bluffing just to scare us. Put away the gun, you know i won’t let you harm him. ”
“Don’t be stupid Merghan!” this guy doesn’t give a hoot about you! He’s still loves Vee and thats why he’s protecting her.”
” I know ! ..but i still won’t let you harm him. ”
“Urgh…. Enough of this already!” Lisa says glaring at both of them. ” Let’s get back to what brought us here. Alex.. call her now! ”
” You know that..even after I do everything you ask, you’ll all still end up in jail,right? ” i say.
” You’ll have to catch us first, and don’t worry. As long as Vee is far away from you.. I’ll live peaceful, even if it’s in jail, ” Stacy says,dialing a number on her phone and puts it on loud speaker. ” It’s either you call Vee or sht goes down! ”
” Hallo.. do we do it now.. I can’t wait anymore.. This chick is so hot! “some guy say from the other end and I tremble from the inside.
” Okay.. I say swallowing deeply. “I’ll do it.”
“Alex, Don’t ! ” That’s George.
” I have no other choice George. ”
“Not yet,” Stacy replies to the guy on the phone. Just keep your eyes on her, ” she says, hanging up while smiling at me.
I take out my phone and dial vees number, with everyone eyes on me.
She picks on the first ring.
” Hey love, where did you go? ” she ask. She sounds so relaxed and refreshed. If only she knew the danger that was roaming around her.
” Uumh.. I went out for a while, ” I say letting out a sigh. ” Vee.. I have to tell you something.”
” Okay.. But let me first get the door, the bell just rang. ”
” What?! Who is it.. Please don’t open the door!”I say panicking my eyes on Stacy.
” Relax Alex.. .. It’s only Nick and Max. They had called and said they were on their way. ”
” Really?! Oh thank God! “I say letting out a sigh of relief, and before vee can answer, Stacy grabs my phone and throws it on the sofa.
Atleast Vee is safe now!
” What the hell just happened?!” That’s Stacy. She’s fuming with anger. ” What are they doing there?!
” What happened is that i played you at your own game, ” George says with a smirk. ” I texted Max before you knocked me out and told him Vee was in danger. ”
” What?! what do we do now?” Lisa asks nervously. ” This was so not supposed to happen! ”
“Thank you George,” I say smiling, looking at Stacy as her phone rings.
” What’s happening?! ” She asks the second she answers.
” The cops are here and have surrounded the place but I can still kill the girl from where I am, I can take a clear shot. Am just waiting for your order ,” the man she’s on the phone with says and my heart speeds up again.
Just when I thought that all this was over!
” Really?!” Stacy asks, looking at me, a crazy smile on her face.” So.. Alex, what do you think I should do? ”
” Stacy please don’t! I’ll do whatever you want..just don’t hurt her.. Please, ” I say desperately.
“I love the sound of you begging,but It’s already to late for that Alex. And anyways, I wasn’t going to spare Vee’s life. You are clearly stupid to think that I was going to let her go after sending her the video, ” she says laughing.
“I knew you were going to explain everything to her afterwards and she’d understand. You both would have continued living your life together as if nothing happened! and am never going to let that happen! I wanted to hurt her emotionally first before ,she was raped and killed. I wanted her to die knowing that you never loved her! But this idi©t ruined everything!” Stacy continues pointing her gun at George. ” I should actually kill you first! ”
” Snap out of it you pschyco!” Merghan says slapping Stacy, hard! Making her drop her phone. “I wont let you kill him! ”
Stacy hits her back and they get in a cat fight. As they are busy fighting I quickly grab my phone and call Vee.
” Stay away from the windows Vee, someone is aiming to shoot at you! ” I say as soon as she answers.
” What?!What’s going on Alex and where are you?” she says.
” I’ll explain…, ”
” Drop the phone Alex or I’ll be the one killing George ! ” Lisa cuts in on me, pointing the gun at George and I oblige. ” You crazy bches ruined everything all over again , and nothing is going as planned! ” She says glaring at Stacy and Merghan as they back off each other.
” This is all your fault! “Stacy says to Merghan who’s busy fixing her hair from the fight.
Without thinking, She picks up her gun and suddenly shoots Meghan in the back.
” Oh my God! What did you do?! “Lisa screams as she snatches the gun away from Stacy and we all watch in horror as Meghan hits the floor ,whimpering in pain.
” Merghan..!” George says rushing over to her.
While everyone is still confused and in shock, I take the chance and attack one of the two men in the room, catching him by surprise. I knock the gun from his hand and as soon as it falls to the floor, I quickly reach for it and point it at them.
I can hear police siren from a far and am so glad that all this will be over soon.
” If any one of you dares move, I’ll shoot! ” I say gritting my teeth in anger, meaning every word.
George is busy on his phone asking for an ambulance.
” Am not going to prison, ” Stacy says, quickly grabbing the gun that Lisa took away from her ,and points it at her Lisa’s stomach.
” What are you doing, ” Lisa asks terrified.
” Using you as bait! Now Alex.. If you don’t let us out of this place.. Your baby dies! Let’s go you idiots, “stacy says glaring at her men and they slowly start walking out. ” Don’t you dare follow us! ” she says closing the door behind them.
I really could careless what happens to Lisa, but the baby survival depends on her survival! And I can’t let the baby get hurt.
” You have to follow them! They can’t get away after everything they’ve done, ” George says. He’s kneeling next to Merghan, who seems to be in a lot of pain .He’s doing everything he can to minimize the bleeding.
” Okay…,will you be okay? ”
” Yes.. Just go! ” he says and I walk out. I quickly get in the elevator and am down withing seconds. On my way out of the building, I spot them running to a car.
There’s no way I’ll ever get to them on time!
I watch helplessly as they get in the car, and lock the doors, without Lisa. She’s busy knocking on the car windows, screaming for them to open, but the unexpected happens.
The car moves backwards, and then suddenly speeds forward, hitting Lisa!
“Lisa! ” I scream running towards her as the car speeds off.
