MENDING HIS BROKEN HEART : CHAPTER 91 – THE END

Chapter 97

She tried to run again but wherever she ran to, she would see them there. Seeing that she had no where to go again, she fainted.

Elena and Julie burst out laughing hard.

“Make sure she wakes up! We haven’t started yet!” Elena said.

Silvia went to the kitchen and took a bowl of water. She emptied its contents on Camille’s body, and waited for her to wake up.

She moved a little and they went to hide. Camille’s eyes fluttered open, and she sighed in relief.

“Thank goodness that they’re gone.” She said and was about to leave but her television turned on by itself. She flinched and stood up.

She could hear her dishwasher running, the tap in her bathroom was also running, the ones in the kitchen were not excluded, her laptop which was on a table switched on, her windows h it the window bane, making a loud noise.

She heaved, and moved back. She reached for the door but it closed and locked itself.

She screamed, and held her head. “I’m going ¢ràzy! I’m going ¢ràzy!” She wailed.

Julie and Elena appeared again.

“I’ve had enough! I’m sorry! I promise never to harm you again!” She cried.

“You already harmed us! We have no feelings now, so we can’t forgive you.” Julie said in a scary tone.

“Revenge! Revenge! Revenge!” They chorused and laughed while Camille screamed.

“Levi! Levi! Help me!” She shouted.

Levi ran in, and held her. “What is the problem? What happened to you?” He asked.

“Ghosts! Ghosts!” She screamed and buried her face in his chest.

“There is no one here.” He said.

“There is! Noel and Julie were here seconds ago.” She said, looking around but couldn’t see them.

“Maybe, you had a bad dream.” Levi said.

“I’m sure of what I saw! You have to save me! We must pack out of here.” Camille said.

“Why?”

“Because it’s haunted.” She cried.

“BIood! Your bIood is what can quench our thirst for revenge!”

She heard voices again and screamed louder. “Levi! Hold me! I don’t want to d!e.” She clung to him and cried her eyes out.

Her voice was already hoarse that it would be hard to hear whatever she said.

“You had a bad dream, let me take you to bed.” He said.

The lights came back on, everything returned to normal and she fainted again. Levi chuckled and carried her in a bridal style.

He took her to her room and laid her down. They had made sure she didn’t go anywhere near the baby’s room, so that her screams won’t wake Zara and the baby up.

Noel and Julie gave Levi a high five and left the house. They entered the car that was already waiting, and Silvia followed.

“That was awesome! I almost peed in my trousers, it was so funny!” Annabella said.

“You guys acted well. It was like a movie.” Lucas laughed.

“We really did?” Julie asked.

“Yeah.” Lucas answered and she smiled.

“I can’t imagine that she is scared of de..ath after klling others. She even tried to stab Chris today.” Elena said.

“At least, she has gotten a dose of her own medicine.” Silvia said.

“Yeah, let’s go home. I can’t wait to watch this.” Julie said as they drove home.

THE ESTATE

They arrived and Elena went to have a bath with Julie. After they got dressed in pajamas, Silvia freshened up too, and they all settled on the couch to watch the accomplishment of their mission.

Julie sat close to Lucas while Silvia and Elena sat by their side. Annabella took popcorn and sat on the floor after connecting the flash drive to the television.

They watched how she screamed, ran and fell.

“It looks so real!” Julie exclaimed.

“Yeah. Like an horror movie.” Silvia said, and they laughed at how she fainted.

“If I were you guys, I would have fIogged the living daylight out of her. What a bçh!” Annabella scoffed.

“This should keep her in shock for a while.” Lucas said.

“Nice work guys!” Elena said.

“Let’s celebrate!” Annabella said and ran to the wine shelf. She picked up five glass cups, and a bottle of wine.

After filling the cups, she passed it to each of them. They cheered and drank while watching Camille suffer.

After that, they watched movies as well. Julie started to feel sleepy, an idea popped up in her head and she rested her head on Lucas’s shoulders.

Lucas pushed her head off but she brought it back, pretending to be asleep. He decided to leave her since she was already asleep.

It was time for bed, and Julie wasn’t ready to wake up. Elena and the rest stood up and saw Lucas struggling to wake Julie up.

“Be a gentleman, and take her to her room. It’s not good to disturb a lady’s sleep.” Annabella said and went up the stairs after winking at Elena.

Lucas looked at Elena. “She’s right!” Elena said and went upstairs as well.

“You can do this, bro. She doesn’t have weight, she is as light as a feather.” Silvia patted Lucas’s shoulder and laughed before running to the room given to her.

Lucas ruffled his hair, and stared at her face. She was really cute though. “Why must you fall asleep on my shoulders?” He asked rhetorically.

He stood up and carried her in a bridal style. Silvia was right, she wasn’t heavy.

She wrapped her hands around his neck as he climbed the stairs heading to her room. She pressed her face on his neck, and Lucas stiffened.

“Geez! Is she trying to seduce me in her sleep or what?” He muttered as he tried to open her door.

Unfortunately, it was locked. “Hey! Wake up! Where is your room key?” He asked but she just mumbled gibberish and relaxed herself in his arms. Lucas sighed heavily.

He looked at the other ladies rooms, their doors were locked as well, meaning that they were asleep.

He had no choice but to take her to his room. He tried lying her in the bed but her grip around his neck was so tight.

He tried to remove her hands but fell on the bed with him on top of her instead. Her hands were still around his neck. Lucas wondered if she was really sleeping or doing this on purpose.

He looked at her sleeping face. “Cute!” He smiled. Her facial features were just perfect with no defects.

He knew she wasn’t as beautiful as Noel but there was this feeling that stirs up in his heart whenever he saw her.

She had that innocent feel around her, and he couldn’t help but get attracted.

Subconsciously, he pulled a strand of hair behind her ears and slowly removed her hands. He made her lie down well, and covered her with the duvet.

He took a pillow and some bedsheets then spread them on the couch in his room before sitting down, and taking his laptop.

Though, he wasn’t in Los Angeles, he still needed to take care of some things in his company.

He knew that his mother was handling it perfectly but he wanted to be of help sometimes.

Julie opened her eyes and watched how his hands worked on the laptop. “I know we have only met for a short period of time but I love you, and I will make you love me back.” She mumbled, and sat up then screamed.

Lucas left what he was doing, and ran to her. “What happened?” He asked worriedly.

“Don’t leave me please. It’s so scary.” She hugged him.

“It’s okay, calm down. Everything would be fine.” Lucas said, patting her back even though he didn’t know what she was talking about.

After she calmed down a bit, he wanted to pull away from the hug but she held him tighter. “Please, let’s stay like this for a while.” She said and Lucas sighed. She smiled and rested her head on his shoulder very well.
