N~HAYES INVESTMENT**
“Rhett Smith right?” Nicholas said, going through Rhett’s résumé.
“Yes..boss” Rhett replied nervously.
“Impressive,, I like what I’m seeing.. You graduated with impressive performance” Nicholas muttered.
“Thanks boss..” Rhett smiled.
Nicholas finished and kept his file on his table. He faced Rhett.
“You can go now.. Congrats!, you’re now fully a worker of my company” Nicholas said.
“Really?! Thanks so much boss.. I promise I won’t let you down” Rhett stood up and bowed respectfully..
“You’re welcome. I hate laziness and tardiness hope you’ll obey those rules” Nicholas said.
“I promise boss.. Thanks once more”
“Sure.. You may leave now” Nicholas said.
Rhett nodded and left Nicholas’s office while smiling widely. He headed to his sector.
“Rhett! So how was the interview?” Paisley who was heading somewhere with files in her hand asked.
“It was successful..” Rhett smiled.
“Wow! Congrats. By the way, there’s a girl in our office.. She claims she wants to see you” Paisley said.
“Oh okay” Rhett said and Paisley smiled before leaving.
Rhett continued his way and was surprised to see who it was when she got to their office.
“Jessi?”
Jessica turned to him and smiled widely before going to hug him..
“Babe!” Jessica smiled.
She broke the hug and cupped his cheek, kssing his nose.
“I missed you so much” Jessica pouted.
“Me too..” Rhett smiled and held her waist.
Luna cleared her throat making the couple to face her.
“Oh sorry.. Luna meet Jessica, my girlfriend. Babe meet Luna, one of my coworkers and also a friend” Rhett said.
“Hi” Jessica smiled and waved.
“Hey” Luna replied rather coldly, looking at how Rhett was holding her waist.
“So he has a girlfriend..” She thought, feeling somehow weird and sad.
Jessica furrowed her brows as she watched Luna’s expression. She shrugged and turned back to Rhett..
“Today is my free day so I decided to drop by and check how you’re doing.. Looks like you’re busy so I’ll just say hi to your boss and then leave” Jessica said.
“My boss? Why?”
“Well he’s my sister’s boyfriend and he came home a couple of times so we know each other” Jessica said.
“Oh okay.. But just say hi,, nothing else” Rhett said.
“What do you mean by that” Jessica laughed.
“You’re so jealous. I love you” Jessica stood on her toe and kssed him briefly.
She smiled and turned back to look at Luna before leaving.
Rhett watched her leave with a smile on his face. He then walked to his seat.
“I see you two love each other a lot” Luna muttered.
“Yeah” Rhett smiled, getting back to work.
Luna just looked at him.

Jessica opened the door and peeped in. Nicholas looked up and raised his brows.
“Jessica?”
“Hey Sir..” Jessica waved, coming in.
“Wow! What brings you here… Anything wrong?” Nicholas asked.
“I dropped by to say hi to my boyfriend so I decided to greet before leaving” Jessica smiled.
“That’s thoughtful of you. How’s everyone doing? How’s Brittany?” Nicholas asked.
“Well we’re all good.. Brittany is resting like you told her to” Jessica smiled.
“I’m glad” Nicholas smiled.
“Uhm Jessica? Can you tell me some few things Brittany likes? Also what she dislikes?” Nicholas asked.
Jessica looked at him and sighed. When she thinks that Brittany is just using him also the when she sees how much he’s fallen for her.. It’s really pitiful.
Jessica covered it up with a smile before settling down. She began answering his questions.

“I love this soup mom.. It’s delicious” Alex smiled as they took their lunch.
“Yeah ma’am” Angel agreed as they ate.
“Thanks everyone!” Brittany smiled.
“So.. Angel do you think you’re ready? We’ll have to go to the court with you where they’ll have to decide who will have responsibility over you. It can be your aunt, uncle, grandpa-”
“I want to stay with you” Angel cut her off.
She slowly looked down and took in her lips.
“I mean Justin was the only family member who cared about me.. When our parents díed, our family member didn’t even bother themselves about it. It was only I and Justin ever since.. Now that he’s gone, I’m all alone” Angel said and looked up.
“Please… Keep me with you, I don’t mind doing whatever thing you want. If you want I can be your housemaid, I can also be Alex’s nanny.. Just anything but please keep me with you” Angel begged.
Brittany looked at Gracie who shrugged. She looked back at Angel.
“Are you really sure you want me to adopt you? I don’t want it to look like I’m taking you away from your family” Brittany asked and Angel nodded.
“Okay, I’ll start the procedure tomorrow” Brittany said.
“Justin has already been buried in the town’s cemetery. Whenever you wanna go and see him, just let me know. I’ll take you there.” Brittany said and Angel nodded.
“Now that everyone has finished talking, let’s come back to your words Angel. What do you mean by being my nanny? You can’t even nanny a dog talk less of cute boy like me” Alex said.
“And who said you’re cute?” Angel raised a brow.
“Mommy did” Alex smiled proudly.
Brittany just chuckled while watching them. A message suddenly came up on her phone and she checked it.
**GOOD AFTERNOON BRITTANY, PLEASE DROP BY AT MY VILLA.. HAVE SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO DISCUSS WITH YOU- XAVIER HAYES**

“Argh!!!!!!” Valerie screamed out, pushing the vase.
It crashed into pieces on the floor. She pushed down another vase and also some glasses.
That’s what she’s been doing since she came back home. Valerie slumped on the floor and ran her hands through her hair as tears streamed down her eyes.
Hailey who was watching her from the door sighed. She came closer to her.
“Baby..” Hailey held her shoulder, lifting her up.
“I told him about my feelings mom.. He still choose Brittany,,, again!” Valerie cried.
“Shh..” Haily hushed, hugging her. Valerie rested her chin on Hailey’s shoulder as she cried
“It’s good you confessed to him.. I once told you I have a plan right? Well, here is it” Hailey said and narrated everything to Valerie.
Valerie’s eyes widened.

Brittany got down the taxi and looked at the building. She walked to the entrance and knocked.
Few minutes later, a security man came and opened the gate.
“Miss Brittany.. Master is waiting for you” The man said.
“Oh okay” Brittany replied.
“Please follow me” The man said and led the way.
Brittany followed him, wondering why Xavier wants to see her..
They got to the study room and Brittany paused when she saw Xavier standing by the window, looking out of it with a glass in his hand.
He turned to Brittany and smiled..
“I’m surprised you came..” Xavier said, going to sit on a couch.
“Please have a seat..” He gestured to an empty seat in front of him.
Brittany slowly sat down, looking at him.
“Well the reason why I called you here.. Is because of Nicholas”
