Chapter 2
That smirk seemed to make her even more scared. She recognized that dangerous and devilish smirk from anywhere. It meant he was planning something dangerous.
“Please, let me go, Martin,” she pleaded softly, her tone filled with desperation, while he simply chuckled.
“Are you here for the interview?” he asked, and she glared at him, her eyes revealing her fear.
He released his grip on her, and without wasting a moment, she rushed towards the door. However, she soon realized it was locked.
She turned to look at him, but he was engrossed in a phone call.
“Send everyone out. I believe I’ve found my secretary,” he said, causing Evelyn’s eyes to widen.
“I don’t want to be your secretary,” Evelyn said, and he scoffed before advancing towards her, making her gulp nervously as he dragged her closer.
“I’ve been searching for you, Evelyn, and I don’t intend to let you out of my sight anymore,” he whispered in her ear, sending shivers down her spine.
She scoffed and attempted to push him away, but she found herself being lifted off the ground.
“What are you doing?” she asked fearfully as he carried her towards a table.
“Just checking if anyone has touched what is mine,” he said, and Evelyn quickly grasped his meaning.
“No… no, Martin, please stop,” she yelled in panic, but he didn’t halt.
Instead, he Iaid her on the table and positioned her Iegs on his shoulder.
“Martin, leave me alone,” she yelled, struggling to stand up, but she couldn’t.
“When did you learn that language?” he asked, his gaze fixed on her, making her feel vulnerable.
His h.and began moving towards her skirt, causing her to panic and struggle even more.
“Please, Martin, stop! I haven’t even dated anyone since we broke up,” she pleaded, and his smirk widened.
“I’d like to confirm that myself,” he said, sIipping his hand inside her p..ants.
It was their first meeting in three years since their breakup, and he was attempting to a$sault her.
“He hasn’t changed a bit,” she thought.
“Sir,” a loud knock on the door interrupted them, making him sigh.
He moved away from her, and she immediately jumped off the table.
“What is it?” he yelled angrily, causing the poor girl behind the door to tremble.
“I just wanted to inform you that the interview has been canceled,” she said.
“Okay, get lost,” he said dismissively.
“Please, help me,” Evelyn pleaded, moving towards the door, while Martin raised an eyebrow, staring at her.
The girl stood at the entrance for a moment before walking away.
The door opened, and she gasped in surprise, turning to look at Martin, who smirked. Then she realized he was holding a remote.
It was a remote-controlled door.
She picked up her bag from the floor, keeping her eyes on Martin, who continued smirking.
As she approached the door, she felt someone grip her waist and softly kss her neck.
“Come early tomorrow, or you might face consequences,” he whispered in her ear, and she scoffed.
“I don’t need this job anymore,” she hissed, pushing him away before walking out of the office.
A dvilish smirk formed on his face as he watched her hurrying away.
“You can’t run away from me anymore,” he whispered to himself, biting his lip as he gazed after her.
