I have to find my sister’s horse. If I don’t dad will skin me alive
Dad gave her as a gift on her 25th birthday, just two month ago. If I don’t find it, dad will be so angry and furious. I need to find it no matter what it takes
“Melvin, we need to find the horse”, I said
“Are you sure you came with a horse?” He asked
“Yes I do, I tied it to this tree” I replied pointing at the tree
“You have to believe me” I said
“You’re drunk, how do you expect me to believe you?” He asked
“I might be drunk but I’m sure I came with a white horse” I said
He shrugged
“Well, I don’t know where or how we are going to find it” he replied
“Mel, if I don’t find it dad’s is going to kill me” i cried
He sigh
“Let’s search the bushes” he said
We search through the bushes but could not find any trace
“Liyah, why don’t you go home. We can find it tomorrow” he said
“No, no if I don’t find it, I can’t go home” I replied
“Come on it’s just a horse, your dad won’t do anything” he answered feeling sleepy
“If you won’t help me find it, I will go look for it myself” I said walking away
“Wait up” he said, running after me
“Do you think I will let you go alone?” He asked

We’ve been searching for over two hours, no trace of the horse
“Do you think it has been taken by bandits?” He asked
“What! That can’t be. It has the royal logo on it. Nobody will dare to steal it” I replied
“If that is the case you should go home. I’m sure the person has returned it back to the palace, ” he said
“I can’t”

We were still arguing when I sighted the horse from afar

“I think that’s the horse” I said
“You think or you’re sure?” He asked
“I’m sure” I replied
“I’m going after it. Whosoever is on that horse, will taste the wrought of my anger” I yelled
I made to run after it but he held me back
“Chill, it’s coming this way already” he said
I waited impatiently for it to come closer
Finally it was a bit closer and I was able to see the face of the rider

I groaned
The horse came to an halt
“Hello bfs” he greeted jumping down from the horse
“You took the horse?” Melvin asked
He giggled
“How come?” I asked
“Well I came to say hi to Melvin, and then I saw the horse. I knew it was yours, so, I decided to go for a ride” he said
“You knew it was mine?, well sorry to burst your bubble. It belong to my sister” I answered in a sacastic tune
“I can sense the sacarsm” he said
I rolled my eyes
“I think this is not the best time for this. You should go home Liyah. It’s late already” Melvin said
“I think so too but damn the horse is fast” David replied
“Just shut up” I glared dragging the rope from him
He giggled
I placed my leg on the stirrup iron, and mounted it
“Are you not going to accompany me home?” I asked
David shifted back a bit
“I think I will pass” he said
“You will what?” I asked
“I’m just joking” he said
“But seriously, I don’t think I’m ready to face king Javier” he added
“Is that your new way of saying no?” I asked
“Maybe” he chuckled
“Don’t mind him, we are going with you” Melvin said
“You say we??, I am out of here”, he said
He made to leave but Melvin held him back
“We are going with her” he said
“I…..i don’t think that’s necessary” David said
“What are you talking about?” I asked
“I bet you don’t wanna know” he replied
“Oh no!!” Melvin whispered
I raised my head to see troops of soldiers matching towards our direction

Dad sent these battalions just to get me?
Is he kidding me??
“What did you steal again??” David asked
I rolled my eyes while Melvin hit him playfully
“Princess, the king seek your presence in the palace” one of the soldiers said
“What is dad doing with soldiers at first?”, I wondered
“Go back to the palace. I will come meet you” I said
“I’m sorry princess, the king wants you back with us” he replied
“Am I some sort of bandit?” I asked
“I don’t mean to disrespect you, my princess but I have to obey the king” he said
“Liyah, just go with him. I am getting scared here” David said
I glare at him
“Are you kidding me?” I asked
“You should go with them, to reduce your punishment” Melvin replied
“I don’t want to” I pouted
“It seems you want our heads in a plate” David said
I chuckled
“Ok, I will leave” I said
“Be careful” Melvin said
“Does she need to? She’s already in deep shit” David replied
“Any more word from you and I will feed you to my dogs” I yelled
“I rest my case but call me when you finally get freed”, he said
“I will come check on you” Melvin said
“That’s not a promise” David replied
“You wanna try me? Huh?” I asked
He shaked his head and moved backward

He touched my hand
“Do not cause more trouble” he said
“I can’t promise that” I replied

I frowned at him and he raised his hand up in defeat

We got to the palace gate and my heart skipped a bit. Not because I was scared but because mom will be so worry about me.
I can’t even think of what dad will say when he see me dressed like this. No to talk about Everlyn’s reaction knowing I took her horse.
“What about the lock I broke?” I thought
I giggled
“Princess Taliyah of North Richland” the guard announced my presence as if I care
Mom ran out followed by Everlyn
“How dare you take my horse?!!” She yelled
I jumped down from the horse
“Relax you told me you will do whatever I want remember!” I answered
“Is that the reason you took my horse without my permission?, is that the reason you broke the stable lock?, is that the reason you’re dressed like this?!!!” She yelled anger evident In her voice
“You don’t have to yell at me!!!” I flare up
“You’re my sister, sisters look out for each other” I added
“Are you even a sister!!” She fired back
I made to say something but mom stopped me
“That’s enough” mom yelled
“Get in Liyah the king is waiting” mom said

She just said the king is waiting instead of your dad is waiting
I should expect the worst
I turned to face Everlyn and gave her the go to hell look before running inside
Dad or should I say the king was seated on the throne with Ares by his side
They were glaring at me
“What’s up with the look? It’s just a horse right?” I thought
“Where are you coming from Taliyah!!” Dad’s thunderous voice said
I stopped moving
I scratched my head and laughed nervously
“I…….i……. went to the city” I stuttered
I said I was not scared but right now, I wished the ground will up and let me rest in peace
“Dressed like this?” He asked angrily
I turned to look at my brother but he looked away

“Dad there is nothing wrong with this” I said
“I have tolerate you enough and since you have refused to behave like a princess. I will have no other choice but to send you to the frost palace” he dropped the bomb

“Dad are you kidding me?” I asked
“You can’t send her there” mom defended
“Dad please. Remember the last time you send her there. It wasn’t funny at all. Dad please reconsider your action” Ares said
“Dad I know Liyah can be so troublesome but dad sending her there is like a dead sentence” Everlyn supported
Are they begging on my behalf?
“You’re begging on her behalf but she’s not remorseful” dad complained
I rolled my eyes and finally went on my knees
“I’m sorry dad. I promise I won’t do that again” I pleaded
Dad stood up
“Guards!!!” Dad called
“Take her to the dragon tower” dad ordered
Dragon tower!!!
Is that even better?!!!
“Dad!!!” I called
“That’s not fair!!” I yelled
“Taliyah!!, you’re grounded. I do not want to see your face until you feel remorse for your actions” dad answer
“But I am” I replied
“You’re not and you will never be” he said
“Take her away!!!” He yelled
The guards raised me up
“Dad!!!” I screamed
“It’s not fair!!” I yelled but he turned his deaf ear
I was taken to the dragon tower, and dropped on floor. The door was locked. I could hear the guard leave. I was left alone
Dragon tower and frost palace has been my worst nightmare. The tower is as hot as hell and the palace is nothing to write home about
“Liyah, why can’t you just be a good girl for a while” I scolded myself
“Now you’re been lock up here all by yourself” I hit myself
I stood up from the floor and sat on the bed. I need to catch all the sleep I can because tomorrow is going to be a hot, long and boring day!!!
