I walked back to my room happily
“My Princess, your clothes are ready” Mira announced immediately she sight me
I groaned
“Don’t tell me I’m wearing this” I said almost in a whisper
“Yes my princess. The Queen asked me to get you dressed for the dinner” she said
Dress in this?
It’s just dinner!
Normal dinner for crying out loud!
We will just seat down to eat and I have to dressed like someone going to a ball.
It’s not a princess ball for crying out loud. It’s just dinner!!!
“Can I change it?” I asked
“No my princess. The Queen insist you wear this” she said
I groaned
Why do they hate me this much?
Why?
“I won’t wear this?” I thought
“And you won’t go for the exhibition” my subconscious mind said
I chuckled
If I want to attend that exhibition, I need to act like a proper princess
I should remind myself this frequently
“Can we get started?” I asked
“As you wish my princess. I will go make your bath” she said

“Hell no” I replied
I am not going to get dressed in this!!
Not for any reason!!
“My princess it will help your dress stay well on your body and makes it fit you perfectly” she said
I rolled my eyes
Is she kidding me right now?
She expect me to get into this thing that Iooks like a basket, when I can just wear the dress without it
Who still use this in this present age when I can just get dressed in fitted straight gown with slit or even a full skirt or flowing one?
“Look Mira, there’s no way I’m wearing this ok?” I said
“But…” She tried to say
“No but. I agree to wear the gown not this” I said pointing at it
“Ok my princess”
I finally got dressed in an elegant blue ball gown. Off shoulder to be precise.
It wasn’t off shoulder but I made it one
I can’t just dress in some old fashion dress looking like my granny.
I paired it with a silver accessories. I mean silver earrings, necklace, bracelets, wristwatch and leg chain.
Mira helped in styling my hair and also in making me up.
And I am go….od to go!!!
I bet everyone will be surprised.
The clumsy, troublesome princess as decide to act like a proper princess!!!

Eva helped me get dressed in a red floral ball gown. I used gold earnings and necklace. She made me up and helped pack my hair
She spent so much time dressing me up that I thought I was getting ready for my wedding.
“I’m done my princess” she said
I smiled
I was looking so gorgeous
Like a bride going for her wedding
I chuckled
“You look gorgeous my princess” she complemented
“Thanks Eva” I replied
I wore my shoe and headed for the ball room.
I have been wondering why dad decide to have the dinner at the ball room
On my way there, I sight someone walking majestically
“Taliyah” I cooed
She was looking beautiful and decent
She looked like a proper princess, for the first time in five years I guess
She walked closer to me
“Hello sis, you look breathtaking” she complemented
I blushed
“You look like a princess for the first time Liyah” I said
She laughed
“I guess I look strange then” she said
“No, you look beautiful dear. I wish you could dress like this more often” I said
She looked at me and giggled
“Always dressed like some prisoner? H.ell no” she said
I laughed
I wasn’t expecting her to agree to that
“We should get going, we are running late” she said
My eyes widen in shock!
Is she kidding me?
The Taliyah I know, do not go the this kind of gathering early
She goes late and disappear before you knew it
But now she’s saying something about running late?
That’s serious!!
“When do you start going to formal meetings early?” I asked
She chuckled
“The day you condition me to be proper princess” she replied
I nodded
I think that’s nice
With this new update, we will be at peace for a week or two

“Princess Everlyn and Princess Taliyah of North Richland” the guard announced as we walked in majestically
We entered and I almost shouted
I thought it’s just a dinner
Is it not just to sit and eat?
Why do I see plenty people?

No wonder dad choose the ball room
“I thought it’s just a dinner?” Liyah asked
I chuckled
“That’s what I thought too” I replied
All eyes were on Liyah
Some were surprised she dressed properly, other were lusting after her.
Who wouldn’t be?
She looks really nice. Her shape was visible in her blue ball gown.
She glared at some and they quickly face their front
I laughed
She will never seems to amaze me

When we entered, people couldn’t stop staring at me
Some where surprised, others were lusting after me
Do they have to stare at me that way??
I glared at them
“They should better not dare me” I thought
We went to meet dad, mom and Ares
“You look gorgeous” mom complemented
I smiled
“My kid sis is all grown up” Ares said
“Come give me a hug sis” he said
I walked close to him and hug him
I also went to meet dad and hug him
“You look beautiful dear and ready for marriage” dad said
I rolled my eyes
“Dad” I cooed
He smiled
“Just joking” he said
I smiled
I don’t think i’m ready for marriage, not even three years from now
“I think you have a guest” dad said
I turned to see Melvin
“Melvin” I cooed
He walked closer and gave me a hug
“You look awesome, Li” he said
I smiled
“You don’t look bad too” I said
He went to greet dad and mom.
“How is David?” I asked
“He travelled to California” he said
“California? To do what?” I asked
“His dad got him a wife” he answered
I chuckled
“That’s good” I replied
At least he will become more responsible
“He doesn’t want the wife” he replied
I chuckled
I know he won’t!!
We were gisting when Lian hit his cup to draw our attention

When Melvin came, Liyah went to meet him and I was left alone
“Where is Lian?” I thought
He should be here by now
Soon, he walked in with wait!!
His parents!!!
Not just his parents
His sister too
“Am I missing out something?’ I thought
I watched them greet dad
I smiled
” hi beautiful” Lian said hugging me
I smiled
“You didn’t tell me your parents are here” I said
“It’s a surprise!” He said
I smiled
“I should go say hi then” I said
We walked to where they were and I said my greetings
We exchanged hugs too
Dad whispered something to Lian and he hit his cup to draw attentions
“What’s going on?” I thought

Everyone’s attention was directed to Lian
He smiled before speaking
“Good evening everybody. It’s a privilege to have you all here. Thanks for honoring our invitation” he said
“This is actually a surprised engagement party” he said
Liyah turned to look at Everlyn
She was blushing real hard
“Wait, did she know about this already?” Taliyah thought
She walked closer to Everlyn and whispered
“Did you know about this?”
Everlyn chuckled
“Know about what?” she asked
“Engagement stuff” Liyah replied
“Of course not. I think it’s between dad and Lian” she said
“I guess I should get going” Liyah said
“Why?” Everlyn asked
“Because, he coming this direction” Liyah answered walking away
Before Everlyn could access what was going on, Lian was already on his knees
Everlyn looked at him surprised
“Everlyn, I know I am not the best man for you but I don’t think I can live a day without you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to wake up every morning to your beautiful face and sleep seeing your face. I want to grow old and toothless with you. Everlyn please marry me” he said
She was speachless
Why didn’t he tell her???
“It’s a surprised engagement party girl” her subconscious mind said
She chuckled
Everyone waited patiently for her answer
“Hey sis” Liyah whispered
“He’s waiting” she said
Everlyn raised her head up, she looked around, seeing many faces waiting eagerly for her respond
She sigh and finally answered
“Yes. Yes I will marry you!!!” She announced
Lian smiled and placed the ring in her hand happily
She helped him stand up and hug him
He kssed her forehead, cheeks before kssing her lips
“Shout out to the newest couples!!” Liyah shouted
Everyone clapped
Ares made a toast
The king announced the wedding comes up in three weeks time
The rest of the day was fun!!!
