Michael’s POV
.
I woke up the next day and set out to my daily exercise in the gym.
I have a room which I use for exercise which help me master my fighting skill just like my father have suggested.
After my training session I went to have my bath and get ready for my job.
Soon after I’m dresses I make something for myself to eat then head out of my house and drove straight to work.
UNKNOWN ENEMY: Episode 1 – 10
Soon I arrived at the agency and one of the agents informed me the deputy chief request for my presence in his office.
This only mean one thing which is I have a mission ready for me then I went to his office.
I knocked then entered and I see him on his seat and a lady as well dressed in a suit like an agent.
” oh Mike, you’re here” he said as I entered.
” Good morning Sir ” I greeted.
” Morning, I want you to meet agent Raven, she just got transferred here ” he said then I turned to the lady.
” Sara, meet special agent Michael Rolland and by his code name ag…..”
” Agent Hawk, I’ve heard about him” she completed smiling at me.
” pleasure meeting you sir” she said as we shook hands.
” me too” I replied wondering why the personal introduction.
” Sir, you asked for me…….i believe there’s a mission at hand” I said with my ‘back to business’s face.
” oh yeah, as you know the chief is not around at the moment, and I just received a call from him concerning something very important ” he explained.
” a convoy transporting a package for the military was hijacked by some local goons”
” the soldiers in the transport were killed and went away with the package, now we have an order to retrieve it” he said.
” where?” I asked.
” the gang were seen heading to a village called Benga village” he answered.
” what’s so important about this package?…..why would some local goons steal it?” I asked.
” I’m sorry I can’t tell you” he replied.
” why? ” I asked.
” because it’s classified, it’s a level 9 clearance and last I checked you’re level seven” he replied.
” you should understand Mike, there are some things your clearance permit you to know about which others don’t ” he added.
He is right, we’ve been taught all these when I first got here. It’s just that I like to be informed.
” okay Sir” I replied.
” your order is to retrieve it back safely, make sure you have eyes on the package before engaging”
” we can lose sight of it”
” don’t worry Sir, I carry it out perfectly ” I replied confidently.
” oh, actually I mean both of you are working together on this ” he said pointing to the lady.
” what!”
” but….sir, as you know I work better alone, I don’t need a chaperone ” I disagreed.
” you were lucky yesterday, I can’t afford to let that happen again” he said.
” I told you it’s nothing, I handled it just like every other mission ” I said.
” I know you’re good and confident in yourself and I like that about you ”
” but maybe it time you need to have someone watching your back , you can’t be too careful ” he said.
” I understand sir, but she’s young ” I said and the lady turned to me surprised.
” She’s the same age as you boy” he said.
” but sir…….”
” look son, she’s young, skillful as well, you know it’s good to have young blood in the agency ”
” they have the will and strength to get the job done and you are living testimony ” he said.
” I understand Sir, this is not necessary ” I said hoping he’ll change his mind.
” it’s not a request Mike, it’s an order ”
” gear up, you leave in 10, dismiss ” he said then I went out.

‘dmn, why now of all time’
Here I thought I could finally put the package in action then this show up.
I went to my locker and opened the briefcase pick up the D-gun and rounds of bullets.
I pocket one dose of the serum just in case then I went out of the locker and head out.
On my way to my car I was joined by the new agent and we went out together to my car.
We entered the car together and I drove off without altering a word to her.
” You have nothing to worry about, I promise to be a good partner” she said breaking the silence in the car.
” Where are you transferred from?” I asked.
” Clifton city ” she answered.
” Why do you wish to become an agent?” I asked again and she smiled.
” I’ve always wanted to help people and to make my country safe” she replied.
” Let me give you a piece of advice, Mind your business and you will be just fine” I said.
” Thank you ” she replied.

An hour later we arrived at the entrance of the village and I noticed cars are in line entering the village.
I also noticed something else. There are some armed thugs inspecting every car entering the village.
” Sht. No, no, no, this isn’t good” I muttered then tried to reverse only to see there’s a car behind me.
” Fpk!”
” Who the fuck are these guys?”
” What do we do?” Agent Raven asked.
” we are told not to engage until we have eyes on the package” I replied.
” Looks like we don’t have a choice, we’re boxed in” she said.
” Contact the base” I instructed and make contact with the agency.
” Base, this is agent Raven”
” Raven to base. Come in. Over.”
” This is base. Go, Agent Raven” someone responded.
” We are at the entrance of the village and I’m looking at about eight armed Tangos here… permission to engage” she informed.
” Copy that…. do you have eyes on the package?” I heard the deputy chief asked.
” Negative Sir” Agent Raven answered.
” Sit tight, do not engage…..I repeat do not engage” he said.
“Sit tight?……we are boxed in They got some shit load of armor” I interjected and I noticed them getting closer to us.
” Hurry, They are getting closer……..do we engage?” I asked.
” Negative, agent Hawk, they are just the village thugs…… Just hang in there”
” Maybe I’m not making myself clear”
” I’m looking at multiple radical insurgents with AK’s and a .50-cal technical set to blow our car” I said.
” You have your order agent……sit tight” he said.
” Yes sir” I replied then disconnected.
” Here we go”
” Welcome to Benga village, what brought you here?” One of them asked.
‘ I thought this is a village, why all this charade’ I thought.
” We are for business and trust me, we are friendly” agent Raven answered.
” Friendly? Hmm? Friendly?” One of them said looking into our car.
” Pull over for inspection” he said.
” No” I said looking straight into his eyes.
” Pull over for inspection!” He said again.
” I’m sorry, sir, I can’t do that”
” Just like my partner said, we are here for business and we are in a hurry, if you don’t mind we’ll like to be on our way” I said then he pointed his gun at me.
The others joined him and pointed their guns at us.
” Get out of the car or we blow your head off” he said then I thought of something.
” Look up ”
” Go ahead, look up. You see the drone?”
” You can’t? That’s all right, because the drone sees you, Sees your face”
” know who you are. So If anything happens
to us, your home, your family, boom, gone before you knew it”
” Give the order to let us go and be done with what we came here for” I said I noticed he bought it even though he tried to hide it.
” Are you threatening us?” He asked.
” It doesn’t have to be….I know you’re trying to defend your village and we are not trying to ruin it”
” All you have to do is let us go” I said then he think about for a moment.
” Go ahead ” he said.
” Thank you” I replied then drove off into the village.
