Michael’s POV
.
” How do you know they will fall for that? ” agent Raven asked.
” I don’t ” I answered and she stared at me in surprise.
” you just gambled with our lives, they could’ve killed us” she said.
” but they didn’t ” I replied.
” I don’t know about you but I don’t have an extra life” I said.
” neither do I, that’s one of the perks in our job, you just need to be thinking crazy ” I replied.
” you sounded like you’re afraid to die” I added.
” who isn’t?, everyone is afraid to die” she replied.
” well I’m not, I’ve been trained on the basics of survival instinct”
” as an agent you can’t think of death, if you do then you’re not fully ready to be an agent ” I said then I noticed the description of the place.
” we are here” I said then turned the car around and park.
” I need you to stay here while I comb the area to see if I can get a glance of the package” I said alighting from the car.
” hold on, why do I have to stay here?”
” I thought we are doing this together ” she said.
” just do as I told you, i’ll give you a sign ” I said then went into the forest.

UNKNOWN ENEMY: Episode 1 – 10
As I walk stealthily into the forest I can see the men the deputy chief was talking about.
Only few of them are parading this side which means their camp must be up ahead.
‘ time to put the serum into action’
I dipped my hand into my jacket and bring out the serum then inject myself with it.
For the first ten seconds I felt nothing until suddenly I noticed strange reaction in my body.
No one can notice any change but I can feel it and I know something is happening.
So I decided to test it by bringing out my dagger then stab myself on my palm.
To my astonishment I felt nothing, I even made it harder and still got the same result.
‘ damn, this thing is good ‘
I continue with my mission as I move stealthily towards the men without being noticed.
I move slowly behind one of them and rendered him unconscious then take out the D-gun.
I saw two more moving together then I ran to them and kick the first one on the face then shoot the other.
The other guy tried to scream and I kick him on the face then strangled him covering his mouth.
” answer me truthfully and you will be fine ”
” you and your people stole a military package, where is it?” I asked then he pointed towards south.
” are you sure? ” I asked again and he nodded affirmative.
” thanks” I replied then shoot him.
I still find it amazing how my friends were able to come up with something this great.
The gun barely made a sound and I checked their pulse and they are still alive.
Then suddenly I heard a loud gunshot and turned immediately to see one the gang fall down dead.
I turned to the other side and see agent raven running towards me which got me angry.
” You’re welcome by the way” she said as she got to me.
” what the hell did you do? ” I asked angrily.
” I just saved your life, thanks to me you’re still alive” she said.
” I don’t need you to save my life, I told you to stay in the car” I said to her.
” I can’t do that, I’m your partner not your f**king assistant ” she said then grabbed her neck and hit her against the tree.
” I outrank you so when I give you an instruction I expect you to follow”
” do you understand?” I said.
” y-yes” she replied then I release my grip on her.
” we were told not to engage until we have eyes on the package, now our position has been compromised ”
” now they know we are here thanks to you” I said.
” I’m…I’m sorry” she apologized.
” Let’s go before they escape with the package ” I said then we move out.

We ran to their hideout and found them packing, immediately they see us they fire at us.
I can’t walk straight to them with her knowing there’s something strange with me.
” Some of them are running away, I need you to keep them occupied while I go after them” I instructed.
” okay” she replied then continue firing at them while I stood up and ran into the forest.
.
I ran towards their direction and see about six of then running away with a small briefcase which I assumed to be the package.
I ran towards them and when they saw me they stopped running and turned towards me pointing their weapons at me.
” you must be foolish to come after us alone” the one who I assumed to be their leader said.
I smiled at them then holstered back my gun then pulled out my dagger.
” you should be lucky I don’t feel like killing anyone, but you guys killed some soldiers so I need to make this hurt” I said then charged at them.
They started firing at me and they were surprised to see the bullet bounce back off me.
I got to the first one stabbed both his legs then move to the other and thrust it on his shoulder.
Three of them made to hit me then I dodged, I grabbed their arms then twisted it violently before breaking it.
” Aaaaaahhhhh” they yelled out.
There leader saw this then he started running off with the briefcase then I quickly pulled out my gun and shoot him.
He fell down unconscious immediate then I went closer and pick up the briefcase and open it to confirm.
I opened it and I see something which look like an advance tech which raise my curiosity of what it is.
” Is that the package?” I heard then turned to see agent raven coming closer.
” positive, contact the base”
” tell them we have the package, and they should send some local authorities over to pack these idiots ” I instructed then went to check their pulse.
” they are still alive?” she asked.
” I don’t feel like killing them maybe we can something out of them” I replied.
” sure and I’m sorry about earlier ” she apologized again.
” it’s fine, mission is accomplished anyway….just don’t let such repeat itself ” I said then left.

Some minutes later, the local authorities arrived and they arrest the ones who are still alive.
Agent raven and I entered our vehicle with the package and drove off back to the agency.
Soon after we arrived at the agency and our fellow agents congratulated us on a Job well done.
” nice job guys, I knew you can do it” the deputy chief said as he came to meet us.
” thank you sir” we both said then hand him the case.
” the chief is around ” he announced.
” really?, he’s back? ” I said.
” come, both of you……..he’s expecting you” he said then we followed him to the chief’s office.
We entered the chief’s office and he smile when he see us.
” welcome back boss” I said as I shook hands with him.
” you’ve been doing a good job while I was away and I like that ” he said.
” thank you sir” I replied.
” I might have a job for both of you soon but you can rest now…….. I’ll prep you later” he said.
” okay sir ”
” hope you have a nice stay here agent raven, I’m glad to see having someone watching his back” he said.
” thank you sir, he’s not a very cooperating partner ” she said glancing at me.
” I’m sure you two will work things out later” he said.
” you can take your leave now ” the deputy chief said and we both went out.

When it was time to leave I entered my car and drove home and while on the road my phone rang and it turned out to be my friend Lara.
? ” hey Lara ” I answered.
? ” hi Mikey, are you still at work?” she asked.
? ” No, I’m on my way home already ” I replied.
? ” okay, I’m just calling to ask about the serum…….have you tested it yet?” she asked and I smiled.
? ” dmn, you guys are the best……..i love that stuff ”
? ” I got to give it to you guys, you are great” I commended.
? ” I’m glad to hear that, so how do you feel? ” she asked.
? ” I feel great……..I’m doing good ” I replied.
? ” now listen, like I told you earlier when the serum wear off you will feel the pain” she said and I remembered.
? ” how bad will it be? ” I asked.
? ” do you have ice at home?” she asked.
? ” yes”
? ” when the pain start pour the ice on your body, it will lessen the pain ” she informed.
? ” okay thanks for the heads up ” I said.
? ” you’re welcome, see you later ”
? ” alright thanks ” I replied then ended.

Soon I arrived at my house then entered to get myself prepared for my latest episode.
I went to my fridge and bring out some ice and went back to my parlour to get ready.
I waited for an hour before I started having the same feeling I had when I injected the serum.
I can feel the changes in my body by the seconds then suddenly I feel the pain then pour the ice on my body.
” aaaahhhhh”
” grnnnnnnnnnnnn” I screamed and grunt for the pain was so much more than I imagine but the ice indeed lessen the pain.
The pain lasted for about 15 minutes then I was relieved. I guess that’s the price I have to pay for being bulletproof.

(Next Day)

I woke up and set out to my early morning routine and after I’m done I get dressed.
I was fixing myself breakfast when the news showing on the TV caught my attention.
? ” Early this morning there were some set of gangsters seen terrorising the city”
? ” They started from burning down a police station whereby killing seven police officers and five of them injured”
? ” we got another report just about an accident on the highway in which school bus with students inside tumbled”
” OhMyGod ”
? ” two students were reported dead While fourteen were injured, the authorities have no idea who these gangsters were or the reason they are doing this ”
? ” this incident sprout out fear from everyone and………. ” I was interrupted with my phone ringing and it turned out to be the deputy chief.
? ” Hello sir” I said immediately I picked.
? ” did you see the News? ” he asked.
? ” I just did Sir, who are these people?” I asked.
? ” that’s what we are hoping to know, come to the office immediately……”
? ” ……..we have job to do” he said.
? ” I’m on my way”
