Michael’s POV
.
We arrived back at the agency after the terrorist have been taken to custody.
The matter raised more unanswered questions which only got me more curious and I hate suspense.
‘ who is this peruzad?’
I went to the computer guys at the agency to inquire what they found about peruzad.
” Please tell me we found something on peruzad” I said to them.
” We put the name in our database but nothing came back”
” We even sent the word out to other branch including the headquarters but no one has ever heard the name” the guy replied.
” Someone must know something, this guy can’t escape what he did” I said then the deputy chief show up.
” Sir”
” Mike, I made few enquiry on my own but none of my colleagues know who this peruzad is” he said.
” I refused to believe that, this peruzad is hiding and I’ll find him, I have to” I said.
” I’ll have the guys interrogate those arrested terrorist, I’m sure one of them will spill something” he said.
” Okay sir…..but..”
” I have a feeling he’s cooking something really bad, and I hate not knowing what it is” I added.
” He’ll be caught, I promise you that, he won’t get away with it” he said.
” You should rest, you’ll need your strength for the coming days” he added.
” Thank you sir” I replied then left his presence.
I went back to my office and start making research on my own but I’m not getting any luck.
After making no progress in the office, I grabbed my things and went to my car and drove to the medical center.
When I got there I asked for Sarah wilfred’s Ward and one of the nurse direct me.
When I got to the ward I saw her reading a book and she smiled when she see me.
” Hi” I muttered as I entered as stood beside her bed.
” I look miserable in this cloth, right?” She said referring to the hospital gown.
” Don’t worry, you’ll be out of here soon” I replied.
” How are you doing?” I asked.
” I feel fine but according to the doctor it will take weeks for me to get back in the field” she said unhappily.
” You should listen to the doctor, they knows better, you need to recover fully before getting back” I replied then turned to me.
” You must be happy right now, you never wanted a partner in the first place now I’m out of your way” she said.
” Yes, I don’t like having a partner but what Happened to you is not something I’d wish onto others” I replied.
” Just get better then you can come back” I added.
” Please tell me you got that bastard” she said.
” The man who did this to you killed himself, but the Mastermind is still out there without having any clue who he is or she” I said.
” You think a woman could be behind this?.. peruzad could be a woman?” She asked curiously.
” I’m starting to think maybe peruzad is not an actual name but a code name” I replied.
” Who could it be ?” She asked.
” I don’t know”
I stayed with agent Raven for some minutes longer before leaving and head home.
Not having anyone to identify this mysterious really troubles me then I put a call through to my dad.
? ” Bright is the day” dad said as a code greeting between us.
? ” It never get dark” I replied.
? ” Hello son”
? ” Hi Dad”
? ” It’s been a while since you called” he said.
? ” Yeah, I’ve been busy…how is everyone?” I asked.
? ” We are doing good, you mother miss you” he said.
? ” I called her last week” I said.
? ” It doesn’t matter, she hasn’t seen you in two years, what do you expect?” He said.
? ” Look Dad, I’m not calling because of that……I need answers” I said.
? ” Okay, what do you want to know?” I asked.
? ” Does the name peruzad means anything to you?” I asked.
? ” Peruzad?, No, I haven’t” he replied.
? ” Why?, What’s going on?” He asked.
? ” Just a very bad person in hiding and I don’t know where he is or who the person is” I replied.
? ” Bad people always hide son but they will come out when the time is right” he replied.
? ” I know Dad, but I afraid it might be late before knowing that, I have a feeling something bad is about to happen” I replied.
? ” Just an advice son, if you don’t know your enemy, then study their game and play along”
? ” Remember, you can’t play a game if you don’t know the rules, remember your training” he said.
? ” Okay Dad, Thanks” I said.
? ” Anytime son”
? ” Talk to you later, say hi to everyone” I said then ended the call.
Studying the game is not a problem but how bad is the game going to be, that’s what frightens me.

{Next Day}

I woke up from bed and set out to my daily routine at the gym as usual then get dressed.
I went to the kitchen to make something for myself, I was eating when I heard the doorbell.
‘ that’s weird, I don’t usually have a guest this early’ I thought.
I went to check the front door camera and I saw a lady standing with a big bag beside her.
Her standing posture seems familiar but she was facing the ground, more like ignoring the camera.
‘ who could this be?’ I thought then went to the door to check it out and I opened the door only for me to get shocked.
” MERCY?” I said in surprise.
” Hello brother” she said smiling at me.
” What are you doing here?” I asked and her expression changed.
” Really?, That is how you greet you older sister whom you haven’t seen in two years” she said sarcastically.
” I called you three weeks ago, you didn’t tell me anything about coming here” I said.
” Seriously, are you going to keep interrogating me right here?”
” Where’s your sense of hospitality?, Idi©t” she said then walked past me leaving her bag on the ground.
” Carry my bag inside” she ordered as she entered then I carried it inside.
” Woww, My brother does have a great taste in decoration” she said looking around the house.
” You’ve never been to my house before, how do you find my house?” I asked.
” Seriously, you even have to ask that and what’s with incessant questions, give me a break”
” Aren’t you even happy I’m here?” She asked.
” Don’t get me wrong but you can’t just come into my house unannounced, you have to tell me what you came for” I said.
” Fine, I miss my brother” she said sitting on the couch.
” Bullsht, you expect me to believe that” I said.
” That’s your problem, take my things to the guest room, I’ll be staying for a while” she replied.
I heaved in frustration because I know no matter what I try, I can’t win her in argument so I took her things to the guest room.
My sister Mercy is not in anyway merciful, she has the tendency of driving you mad with her attitude.
She’s lovely and fun to be with but she can stress your live by doing something just crazy.
You should understand my reason for not having her around especially now that I have to focus on Peruzad.
I went back to the parlour and didn’t see her then heard a sound from the kitchen then I went only to see her eating my food.
” Heyy sto that, That’s my food” I said reaching to take it and she slapped my hand away.
” I realized you don’t have something we called hospitality”
” I came to your house instead of giving food you’re busy bombarding me with questions” she said.
” Seriously Mercy, tell me why you’re here” I demanded.
” I told you already”
” No, you’re lying” I replied.
” Fine, I’m trying to get away from dad….he’s been bugging me all day, he’s driving me crazy”
” You know how that man can be sometimes” she said.
” What about your Job?……I thought you have a job” I inquired.
” I got sacked” she said pouting.
” Why am I not surprised?….. that’s like your fifth Job……what did you do this time around?” I said.
” The boss was a je.rk, I got a story to publish about an evil wealthy man but he wouldn’t let me publish it” she explained.
” So what did you do?” I asked.
” What makes you think I do something, I only broke his nose when he was saying trash about our family” she said.
” I knew it…….does dad know you’re coming here?” I asked.
” Yeah”
” I called him yesterday he made no mention of you coming here” I said.
” It probably slipped his mind” she replied then I put a called through to dad.
? ” It’s a bright dad”
? ” Dad, I’m afraid it’s going to get dark very soon” I said.
? ” Ohhh, I guess you’ve met your sister” he said which left me mouth opened.
? ” You knew?”
? ” She said she wanted to surprise you so I didn’t say anything yesterday” he said.
? ” But dad, she can’t be here….. few minutes since she got here, she’s driving me crazy” I said.
? ” Don’t worry, she’s only staying for a few days, okay” he replied.
? ” Uuuuggghhh” I growled in frustration then ended the call.
” So?” Mercy as she continue eating my food.
” I’m running late, don’t do anything crazy and don’t spoil anything in the house” I warned.
” I’m your big sister, not your Junior….. show some respect” she said.
” I hate you” I said then grabbed my things to leave.
” Yeah I know, and I love you too” she replied grinning as I went out.
One thing I’m certain of is that, her stay here is definitely to drive me mad.

Unknown POV

Mercy wander around the house checking out the house and eating anything she finds.
She picked her phone and went through some things then stood up and went out of the house.
She went outside looking around the neighborhood, she went from one street to another without speaking with anyone.
She got to a hallway and passed by some group of men smoking but she ignored them but one of the guys saw her and came to meet her.
” Dmn, gurl, has anyone ever told you , you’re hot and beautiful?” The guy said licking his lips.
” Yeah, always” Mercy replied.
” Where are you headed?” He asked.
” No where in particular, just looking for something” she replied.
” Maybe we can help you” he said.
” I doubt that” she replied then continue walking then the guy grabbed her arm.
” C’mon girl, name your price…… I’m willing to pay anything to have that bum” he said then she je.rk his hands off.
” Sorry, not interested” she replied.
” It’s not a request girl” he said then the rest of them came forward.
” What are you doing?” She asked looking scared as five of them surrounded her.
” You didn’t want to give it willingly, then we have to take it by force” he said then they grabbed her pulling her to a secluded corner.
” No no no, please don’t do this……you don’t know my father, you don’t want to do this…. please stop ” she pleaded.
” We don’t care baby, we just want a piece of that” the guys said then made to grabbed her bum.
She caught his hand and turned it around before breaking it.
‘ aaaaaaahhhhhh” he screamed in agony and mercy started laughing.
” You guys are pathetic, you’re so unfortunate because you got the wrong girl” she said then the rest attack.
She dodged their advances then made sure she broke either their hands or legs leaving them groaning on the ground.
” You should tell other, women are not weak anymore……we are now stronger than we look” she replied then turned to leave.
” STOP RIGHT THERE WITH YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR” she turned to see four police officer pointing guns at her.
” Oh not me, they are the bad ones….. I’m innocent” she said.
” Don’t make me say it again young lady” one of them said as they got closer then made to to cuff her.
” There are lots of criminals like you all around, you look like a pro$titute” he said which got her angry.
She turned swiftly and collect the cuff from the officer and cuffed him instead then pu nched him on the face.
” You take anymore step….. I’ll kill you right now and I mean it” the others said with intentions to shoot.
” Let’s all calm down and let’s all keep our heads together” she said raising her hands and they cuffed her.
The officer she punched stood up angrily touching his bleeding nose then made to hit her until his colleagues stopped him.
” I’ll make you pay bch”
She was taken into the car along with the five thugs and they took them away.
