I watched rex cleaned the food off his body
He began to walk towards alex but i got in between them
“No,dont,please lets not fight”i said to the both of them
“Didnt you see what he just did”rex said
“I did the same thing you did with Melanie,you have no right to complain”alex said
“You guys should just stop this,mel is a newbie here,dont cause trouble for her “andrew said
“Cant someone make a prank”rex said
“Not with melanie”alex said behind me
“Says who?she is only working for you and nothing else”
“You guys should stop”i said again but nothing
Suddenly andrew pulled me out of their midst
“Mel doesnt need this,as soon as you are done fighting go back and eat and as for mel and i,we will be leaving”andrew said pulling me
But suddenly my hand was taken from him
I turned to find alex starring at me
“Mel and i will be the one to leave”he said and pulled me out of the school cafeteria
“I think its enough now”i said trying to pull off my hand which he didnt let go
We got to a room,the room looked furnished and beautiful
I think its a room for him,do they give out personal rooms to students too,i thought
“Alex we d…….”
“I asked you to stay close to me right ,if only you had listened to me,rex wouldnt have dared mess with you”he said looking angry
“Lets just forget about it and you cant expect me to follow you around,what do you want people to say,your engaged for crying out loud,your fiancee should be the one with you not me”i said
He walked towards me and pulled me into his arms
“I Dont want anyone else but you melanie,only you”he said and kssed me
My first kss,i thought as i stood shocked in his arms
I tried pushing him away but he pushed me to the wall and kept on kssing me
I found that i liked it a lot and i pulled him to me kssing him back
“I get so jealous melanie,am jealous of andrew,cant you see that”he said
“But why”i said breathlessly
“He gets to have your time,your admiration,your trust and if am right your love”he said
“I dont love andrew”i said and that was a mistake from me because i just made it clear to him that my heart wasnt taken and that i was free and that alone would make him work hard on wining my heart which is something i dont want
He gave me a very happy smile before pulling me for a hug
“Now that i know that your heart doesnt belong to anyone,i will make sure its mine”he said
Its already yours but i cant ,i cant be with you i thought as i gently tugged out of his arms
“You wont suceed in wining it okay cause i cant love you,we are just not right for each other”i said going to stand by the window
“Am tired of hearing you tell me that we arent meant for each other,we were destined to meet,to fall and to love”he said turning me around to kss me
I pulled him to me and kssed him back,if this is the only chance i get to have him in my arms,then yes,i savour the moment
“You wont fail me right?”
“You musnt fail the king Melanie ,he is the only one who can help you achieve your goal”
Remembering the king words and my mom words ,i pushed him away
“Am sorry alex but we cant,we just cant “i said and ran out of the room
I was walking through the hall way and wasnt watching when i collided with someone
“Easy melanie”rex said holding me still
He had changed his uniform
“Hey whats wrong”he said when he saw with tears
“Did alex do something to you”he said
“Its none of your business ,you all should just leave me alone ,i yelled before walking away
Through the rest of the day,i stayed in the library
This is the only place i could get some time to myself
Without having to see alex,just remebering the kss he gave me got me shivering
I would never have imagined that my first kss could be this good
“I dont want anyone but you,i only want you melanie”

Alex words kept on ringing in my head and also the king words
I have given the king my word and i dont want to fail my mom,i just dont want to
The bell was rung and i picked up my bag
Its time i head home
I got to the main entrance but stopped when a car stopped in front of me

“Get in,we are going home”he said
“Melanie common i will take you home”i turned to see andrew car parked behind alex
Just then a motorcycle stopped right in front of me
“Heading to the palace right?get on,i will take you there”rex said
I stood starring at the three of them,i had no idea of whom to choose
There was alex waiting,andrew all the same and then rex
“Melanie?”the three of them called together
“Common melanie get on the bike”rex urged me
Just then alex walked towards me and pull me by the hand
“Melanie works for me and as a faithful maid,she is to stay with me,if you both need someone to take home ,get yourselves a personal maid “he said before leading me to the car
As soon as we got in the car began to move off
“From now on your to go to school with me and also to come back home with me”he said
“But a…….”
“Its your highness melanie,your highness,isnt it the way you want it,your my maid afterall and your to serve me so dont call me alex,Dont “he said looking so angry
Feeling sad by his rejection i nodded gently
Isnt that what i wanted in the first place and now that i have it,am getting sad
“Yes your Highness “i said as i starred at him
We got home and while i carried his things for him,he went up to his room
I was still taking his things when he left
“Let me have his highness things”martha said to me
“Okay then”i said giving it to her and then i went to my room
Mom wasnt there,she could still be with the queen,i thought as i changed
I was still in the room changing when martha brought back alex things
“His highness wants you to bring it yourself”she said
I took the clothes and went to his room
He was standing by the window starring outside
“You should always be the one to bring my things to my room”he said
“Yes your highness”i said
“Now come take off my shoe”he said to me
I stood starring at him,is this a way to get back at me for saying no to him
I walked towards him and bent down to take off his shoe but suddenly he held me upright
“Are you willing to go this far,being my maid doesnt mean you should do what i say”

“I dont care about you being my maid,i love you the way you are,i love you so much”he said and pulled me to him kssing me again for the second time
