?ALEX POV ?
While the song played,i brought out my book to read
Its really hard for me having to hide our relationship
If it were up to me everyone would know that its melanie i love and that she loves me backAnd that stupid rex made everything up
But doing that would get Melanie exposed and that is what she doesnt want
I turned to see her starring at me,she gave me a reassuring smile before facing her book again
She is right ?there is no need to fight rex,its me she loves and she is my girlfriend and no one can take or stop what we feel for each other
Soon rex and sarah walked in
Breaking the engagement off has been the best thing that could have ever happened to me
All my life have always followed every one of their rule even though it is not what i want
Melanie is the first real thing that have ever come into my life and i wont lose her to some stupid fool
?MELANIE POV ?
while reading i kept on starring at alex,i knew he was angry about the whole rex issue that was why i stayed behind to watch him,so he wouldnt do something drastic
Something that could put both of us in a lot of trouble
Just then rex and sarah walked in ,she gave me a killing look before sitting while rex whose seat was at the front came to seat beside me sending the owner of the seat to seat at the front
“You dont mind if i come stay beside you”he said
“I do mind rex and am waiting for you to do the right thing which is to take back me being your girlfriend “i said
“That wont be possible,you see everyone here knows that you are my girlfriend “he said
“But we both know that we arent,so please rex rectify this”
“Nope”he said and the teacher walked in
I turned to see alex starring at us,i hope he didnt hear any of our conversation
Soon music class started and all attention was on teacher
“We will be having our annual music competition,its just like every year,in here is a paper where numbers have been written on it,mind you its two pair of number each,once two people pick the same number,they are to work together for the annual music competion,while sarah pass the box around you pick a paper and find your partner”she said
Sarah got up and began to take the box to everyone
When she got to me and gave me a devious smile
I picked my paper and starred at the number,it was my lucky number though,number 10
I starred at alex who was just opening his own lucky number
“14”he mouthed at me
“10”i mouthed back at him
Suddenly my paper was snatched from my hand,i turned to see rex smiling
“It turns out that i will be your partner”he said giving me his own paper
“Can someone tell me who number 14 is ?”andrew said
“Me”alex responded and they both stared at each other with distaste
“So you all have know your partners,work together,create a song and then on the day of the competition you give us all your best”she said
“Yes ma’am”we all said and with one last smile she left the class
“Seems you and i will be working together”rex said
“Dont get your hopes up,melanie doesnt want you as her partner”alex said getting up
“Oh really?and you think its you she wants “rex said
Knowing how this would end,i quickly stood up getting inbetween the two of them
“This is not the place for you guys to do this”i said
“Why cant you just accept that melanie and i are both dating”rex said
“Cause i know its not true”alex said starring at him angrily
I saw andrew starring at us and i gave him a look which required his help
Andrew quickly moved inbetween the both of them
“You both should stop this,fighting each other is the last thing we all want right now,most especially Melanie” andrew said
With one more glare at each other they moved apart
Alex pulled me out of the class
“Where are we going “i said
“To make a complaint,i dont want you with rex”he said
“But i can handle myself around rex”i said
“Dont you get it,that fool is bent on pursuing you and am scared of losing you to him”
“But you cant lose me to rex,you know its you i love”i said
“I cant take the risk”he said taking hold of my hand walking straight to the principal office
Later that day???
Alex was attending his business class while i went to the library along with andrew
We were busy solving our work when suddenly rex came to us
“We need to talk melanie”he said pulling me
“Leave her alone”andrew said
“This is none of your business and if you dont want to have problem with me just mind your own business”he said
“Leave me alone”i said trying to free my hand but he kept on pulling me till we got to his car
“Where are you taking me?”
“Somewhere and stop asking questions,just get in”he said pushing me in and closing the door
